Checked in at 10pm as a quick rest stop on our road trip. The gal at the front desk was pleasant. We requested a roll away bed, but they did not have them. The airport was a little noisy all night, but not much anyone can do about that. The room was clean in the areas that you could see.. but definitely do not look behind any of the furniture.. found filth such as food wrappers and a crinkle cut French fry. We were hoping to get a good breakfast before we got back on the road but it definitely missed the mark. There were two choices of cereal and one was empty because they were out. White and wheat bread with strawberry jelly. Juice. Coffee. Disappointment.

Would give zero stars if I could. The floors where uneven the bathroom had a hole in the wall and noisy at all. Had reserved a king size bed but they didn’t have any when I got there. Run away from this place!!

Very rude owners!Jay(manager) was rude as possible to my wife and I. Do not stay here!!! We ask to stay and bring a pet JAY got incredibly upset with my wife and I when we said we had a cat and wanted us to keep it in truck we said we would he was mistaken about our say so about doing that. So mad in fact that he refused us to stay here! He said get out I refuse you a room. Told my wife to stop taking and then walk away from me after I said u r being rude to us and we don't deserve that! This place has the worse management I've ever encountered as a human as well as a paying customer. I give the place the biggest thumbs down I can give any place. 👎👎👎👎👎👎

Odds are you'll book this location next to the Expo center but upon arrival they'll suggest you actually booked the Super 8 Airport location because the reservation receipt conveniently removes any address whatsoever. It's a convenient way for the owners to funnel guests to their less desirable Super 8 "Airport" property located at 4800 Preston Hwy. Preston Hwy is 100% smoking because over two days time it always reeked of smoke. Our first night included an arrests in the front parking lot, Paramedics called for the homeless camp out back. Listen, I get it, remodeling an older hotel is costly and why bother in this location but the whole online booking bait & switch isn't very nice when it throws off an entire itinerary based on the Expo location. On a high note, we did befriend a fella Danny who experienced the same slimy set-up as we shared an Uber to the Preston hwy location from the Expo Super 8.

So disappointed!!!! Just don't even get me started .. I booked my room for 5 people ...I was told if have 2 queen beds and a roll away...and a pool and breakfast... Nope!!! The clerk said No pool and only 4 people to a room .. I asked for a refund and she said I'd have to call the booking agent to get a refund. . well. After waiting 45 minutes ..I was told that my refund would take 5-7 days!!!! What if that was all the money I had to spend on a room and we were 200 miles from home???? We would have had to sleep in their parking lot!!!! 😡😣😡... Thank God I have 2 checking accounts and we found a room at another hotel that was even closer to our destination... Super 8 gets a BIG FAT ZERO from me!!!!

The room was clean and spacious and the provided lotion was really nice. The breakfast was really lacking and a disappointment. I asked, the night before, what would be served and was told bagels and cream cheese. Had I known there wouldn't be I would have slept in. There was two high in sugar cereal options, prepackaged oatmeal, peanut butter and jelly with bread, high suger cereal bars, and apples on offer. The breakfast ends at 9a. A bit early if you ask me. Time to go back to the pre-pandemic breakfasts.

Was in town for Louder than Life festival. The hotel was within walking distance so that was worth it and perfect because parking and traffic was horrible HOWEVER the stay was less than perfect. 1st of all we get there to check in and the girl at the counter is short with us. 2nd why does the lobby smell like a nursing home (like ointment and doo doo) thirdly we NEVER got housekeeping I finally told the girl and she just said “uhhhh” but no one ever came when we were told they would!! 🫠 lastly the filter in the ac (my hubby is a AC tech so he always checks) was caked full!!!! Picture attached - it was overpriced but figured due to concert in area and like I said being within walking distance was worth the smelly lobby, lack of housekeeping, and caked filter- my hubby cleaned it for you all BTW!

Our room was not very clean. There was a black water mark on the ceiling that was concerning. Whatever sanitizing spray they spray the room with was very overwhelming.

Only hotel I’ve ever stayed at without a lobby It feels a lot more like a Motel. No concession stand, no lobby, and breakfast was a joke. 2 types of cereal, 1 type of muffin, 1 option for granola bar, toast and bagel. That’s it.

I was charged $100 more than the online price quoted. There was bread and jelly for breakfast. No coffee other than what was in the room.

Much cleaner than the last time we stayed here. Heat in rm 112 was strange. Set for 63° and the room was up to 75° during the night. Had to get up and turn it off. Their continental breakfast is basically cereal and toast, juice and bad coffee.

Everything was great. Only one morning there was no continental breakfast and when I spoke to the lady at the front desk about it later that day, she assured me that the manager would make sure that didn't happen again and it didn't.

The best Super 8 I have stayed at in at. I have already told several friends about how nice my stay was there.

Breakfast was a joke. Choice between frosted flakes or raisin brand cereal, muffins, bananas or apples. If both fruits are available. Or you can have a breakfast bar. Apple or orange juice, of course a coffee machine. We ended up going to Cracker Barrel for a decent breakfast for our 3 day stay. Bathrooms are laid out in a corner with sinks outside of bath/shower area. Weird. No freezers in refrigerators.

The cleanliness of the 2 rooms we were in was meteocre. We were given the 2nd room with the same issue, stains on the sheets. I was given a new sheet & apology yet again from the young lady at the front desk. Cards were declined even though we used them the last 2 nights on hotels, etc. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Front desk gal was super nice but the highway noise is very loud and likewise the children that sound like elephants upstairs. Thin walls…

The manager there named jay accused my husband calling him a liar and that was very rude of him. My husband told him he understood I told the lady there that I would leave my cat in the truck which we are truck drivers . He talked to me rudely all I wanted to say was I would leave the cat in the truck then he said I refuse u to stay. I did not do anything to him they he said I pay ten dollars for these signs to show what . It never said no cats but oh well we staying where we normally stay and f@+# super 8

Front desk was terrible. Dog barking somewhere in hotel. Swear I could feel something crawling on me. Avoid if you can.

Really nice room for a very fair price. When traveling, we will book at other locations

Terrible terrible experience. There were bed bugs in our room and when we tried to explain to the front desk they said it was us who brought it in. Room 418 beware

Don't have much to say about inside because of the "rules" sheet. It's conveniently left of their site and 3rd parties such as hotel.com. No visitors!? Had family member stopping by to visit briefly but would've had to meet in parking lot. I'm requesting a refund but I'm sure it'll be fought. Think long and hard with derby around the corner. Never heard of a hotel not allowing a visitor.

Our rooms where clean but parking sucked. However, if your going to a concert at the arena it's perfect walking distance.

I wish I had read the reviews of this hotel earlier. I am covered in bed bug bites and clearly by the past reviews their bed bug infestation has been going on for months. Like many past customers I asked for a refund and the manager refused. Today I contacted and filed a report with the Louisville department of health. I strongly encourage anyone who has had the same experience to contact them as well.

Recently updated and clean. Big rooms. Close to Expo center. Nice work area. Only downside is the post-covid "breakfast" is still pretty basic. 2 cereals, and two bags of bread: wheat and white for toast. One wonders whether the "complimentary" breakfast will return as they were once at any motels.

Stay away from this Motel. The room was not clean and sheets were stained…what was embarrassing is the bugs on the bed that bites me the entire night…this was a business trip but I didn’t sleep the entire night. I had to leave the Hotel 6am because of bugs…this is not a place to take your family.

👍👍 We were so impressed with our stay at this hotel. We stayed on a Tuesday night - so it was not busy but we did not expect how quiet it would be! It was awesome! We stayed in the King Suite - it was spacious, spotless and comfortable. Beautiful room. I’ll be honest - I’ve not been in a hotel so cl...
