Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel and rooms need updating. Get rid of the carpet in the elevators to get rid of the smell. The air conditioner fan in my room would not adjust to high. Cleanliness was just OK. If I'm ever in the area again this hotel wouldn't be my first choice.

Relaxed and friendly! The hotel was home to traveling kids sports teams the weekend we stayed. This could have bothered some, but not this family of 4! The room was clean and had everything you'd need. I especially liked the refillable wall unit for shampoo, conditioner and bath gel (great products and smell amazing), trash cans without plastic bags and recycling bin. The staff we encountered were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their job. We checked in after midnight without issue. My kids and I enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was standard but yummy and included. What more could you want for a short stay?

Front desk staff is wonderful! They are the best part of the hotel. Rooms need updating, hotel needs renovating. Feels dated, for sure. I like the location and I've stayed here before. Elevators could use a good cleaning. I dont think I'll return. I'll opt for someplace a little more modern. Shower had a very slow drain. Maintenance arrived quickly and unclogged the shower with a zip tie. We picked this hotel because we needed 2 doubles and a sleeper sofa.

For the money I thought this place was great. Everything was pretty updated and clean. Ice dispenser on my floor was very clean. Standard breakfast but not served till 7 on weekends. Lobby was big enough for a large group and they had a few TVs. Check-in was quick and guy was friendly. Rooms were better than average and clean. Good location. Pretty quiet and low traffic while being close to a lot. Mexican restaurant within walking distance. I would recommend for any volleyball teams playing at Mid America.

Nice place to stay. Quiet area, easy to get to other parts of Louisville quickly. Breakfast was simple yet had hot options. Would have liked more fruit choices. A little short staffed at the time we went which made service a little slower at times otherwise it works have been 5 stars.

I would describe this hotel stay as complacent. Our room was mostly clean, but the sofa bed mattress had a large rip. There was a drink stirrer on the nightstand. My toddler brought me someone's retainer, yeah, like, teenager's dental retainer thing. The fridge was heavily frozen over, there were a couple bugs. A small centipede in the bathroom and some random dead bug on that ripped sofa mattress. While the rooms are wonderful in size, if you look up at the ceiling fan, its so gross. Breakfast was ok. It was a good sized breakfast, but the sausages were all dried out on the edges. They told me breakfast was until 10am but they were putting everything away at 9. The lady was super nice and let us get a couple plates for the kids. So you know, it wasn't horrible. It was just like, they're doing right under the bare minimum. At check-out, I wanted to inform them about what I found in the room. When I first started speaking, the lady's eyes were about to roll out of her head, like oh great, another complaint, but by the time she realized I wasn't just trying to get a refund, she was sincerely apologetic and going into the computer to fix whatever needed to be fixed with all that.

I normally do not take time to write a review unless something stands out in my experience. I stayed at this hotel the night before last because we had lost power at our house. The staff at this hotel was so kind and understanding and yet they had plenty of other guests with similar situations and others. My room was very clean and well maintained. It was a very comfortable size and fit my needs well. There was an adequate work area next to a sitting area with a generous size desk and also a convenient bar area with a refrigerator, microwave and bar sink. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and we slept very well. Coffee was available in the lobby and there was also a small pot in the room if you wanted it. Breakfast was also good, especially the scrambled eggs. Try not to miss out on the fresh baked cookies. Steph at the check in / out reception desk was efficient, friendly, and informative- same as everyone else working there, (I just couldn’t remember their names. I gave this hotel a high rating because they checked all of the boxes you look for when you need a comfortable place to stay with the friendliest staff you have met in a while. Even housekeeping was truly friendly and kept the facility in prime condition. Thank you!

I read the reviews and cannot understand how they were bad. This was one of the most top notch hotels we have ever stayed in. Very very clean. Nice staff and a wonderful breakfast. Would definitely stay there again!!!

All of the staff I came into contact with were kind and friendly. Beds were comfy and room was clean. The only complaint I have is that the breakfast buffet felt like I was in the hunger games, or survival. I came down late, 9:30 am, but breakfast was advertised until 10am. There was not enough food for everyone and the workload was just too much for one worker managing a hotel full of hungry guest. On the mornings I came down early, before 7 am, there was plenty of food and the variety was good. I just suggest maybe having a second worker in the kitchen during that morning shift.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as we were passing through town. Out of the 3 hotels we stayed at while traveling this was the nicest and cleanest. It is located in a nice area, up-to-date, good price, and the staff was helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend and visit again next time we are passing through town.

My stay was amazing. One flaw, no pets or service animals allowed. You must rent at the residence inn Marriott right up the street. 792 online for 5 days With Bonvoy discount

Stayed for a single night passing through town. The front desk staff was very friendly and got me checked in fast. Hotel was very dated and the air conditioner didn't seem to follow the thermostat. Beds were comfortable. Everything seemed cleaned but dirty at the same time... I think that's just because of the carpet, layout, and age of the furnishings. Oh and lots of empty beverage cans when we rolled in that were still there when we left. I expect more from the rate I paid, but it wasn't awful

The only real complaint I have about this hotel is the gym. It usually has a weight area a treadmill and an elliptical all crammed into a little room. The elliptical had been broken for at least 6 months. The treadmill is rusted and on its last legs. The weight area is in shambles. Look elsewhere if working out is important.

Quiet location away from main roads. Room size was great. I always check for bedbugs.. there were non, but lots of dead bugs and body hair on box springs. The front desk was always great. No problem besides maid trying to walk in room without knocking.. . (My fiance was sitting on couch in boxers playing Xbox while I was at work)

I usually stay at Springhill Suites when I'm traveling. This one made me rethink it. The bathroom didn't flush in our first room. The bathroom in the second room flushed twice for every one flush. The room had a nasty stain on the carpet right inside the door, and one of the beds had a trip hazard. Had my niece not seen it, I could have broken an ankle. Finally, I took a shower, and the water didn't drain, leaving me ankle deep in water. There was also some type of scratches across the wall. Oh, and they left the sofa bed partially open in the first room. The elevator door made a loud slamming noise, making it scary to get on thing. Marriott should remove it's name from this one.

This is, hands down, the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. I’ve stayed at SpringHill suites or Fairfield’s in over 20 cities in the last 2 years and never had the experience I had here. I reserved a room for Wednesday Nov 8. When reserving it showed they had multiple rooms available. After driving 6 hours to get there, I arrive and there is no parking (more on that later), finally find a spot when somebody leaves, go inside and find the guy behind the counter on the phone trying to resolve an issue for the lady at the counter. 30 mins go by, still waiting, and finally get to check in only to be told my room was given away. Evidently that’s the same thing the lady in front of me experienced as well. Was told I was “being relocated”. Giving a room away like that defeats the purpose of a RESERVATION, and the guy could have mentioned that they weee out of rooms rather than letting me wait 30 mins to be told this. The most unprofessional behavior I’ve seen by a hotel employee..that guy is in over his head at that counter. In all my hotel stays, never have they given my room away. And the reason for no parking in the lot? They let some clown with an oversized truck and trailer take up 6 Parking spits by parking sideways. Not in the back, or off to the side, but in literally the closest spots to the front door. Which is a level of ignorance I also haven’t seen elsewhere. And the guy working the counter evidently didn’t care. Complete clown show at this place. Not to mention the cleanliness is subpar for a Marriott property. It’s red roof quality with below red roof service at Marriott prices.

This is our second stay here and we expect and hope to be able to stay again in the future. The rooms are pretty clean and fairly up to date. However, you can tell the employees struggle with having enough help especially today which is a Saturday. Earlier in the morning, they're appeared to only be one kitchen staff and she was completely slammed and doing the best that she could. Needless to say, I attempted to get hot coffee and or hot water three or four times before I was successful. Oftentimes, when I attempted to eat, many of the items were out of stock and there would be at least 30 customers attempting to get something to eat as well and all having the same problem. Somewhere around 9:00 am, a worker named Keely showed up and not only was she mopping the floors but she was assisting with getting the customers creamer and refilling coffee and hot water. On our first visit, she was here as well and doing the same... She is an outstanding employee and always smiling and happy to help. I was sure to let her manager know. Her manager was at the front desk. Overall I scored everything a four.

Upon check-in we walked into a room with dirty sheets. The front desk guy was apologetic and changed our bedding for us. He is honestly the only good thing here. We asked for our sheets to be changed 2 days in and they literally rotated the blanket and sprayed febreeze in the room. Breakfast was a disappointment as well. The sausage smelled off one morning and the mini biscuits were rocks. The waffle maker, toaster, and juice machine had seen better days if they worked at all. Yogurt and prepackaged muffins were the only edible things, but McDonalds is around the corner so that’s helpful. The pool looked sketchy, like a film of somethings was on the water. We did not use it and would not recommend using it. For the price there are much cleaner and nicer hotels in the area.

I guess you pay for what you don’t get. I waited to book in person because we were traveling by car all day and thought it’d be easier than punching in all the information on my phone on the road. The Springhill website was cheaper than at the desk. They couldn’t honor the cheaper rate stating sometimes it’s cheaper online direct to Marriott. Rooms were ok, spacious. The beds (both in a two queen room) creaked louder than a 40 year old fold up bed. The air conditioner had a loud ticking sound when it turned on. It turned on every 15 min or so to maintain temp. Enough to stay affect sleep. Pool is closed from the Health and Wellness agency. Gym is standard but appears 2 of the 3 machines are down. No water offered in the lobby.

Had to switch hotels on a planned longer stay for work because the wifi is suspect and unreliable. First housekeeping day ( we set it for every other day ), I came back from field work about 3pm to find my door was not completely shut by HK. More than half the time, the "24 hour" coffee was not. Room was nice. Location is ok. Safe but a bit far from commerce

This is an older property, and everything is tired. Pros: delicious hot breakfast, small fitness center, indoor pool, comfy pillows & linens, new large TV, kitchenette, Cons: dark sitting area, brown fabric on sofa (can't see what's been spilled there!), dripping faucet in the bathtub, poor soundproofing. I would probably stay here again (given the price and breakfast)

A little off the highway I64 but not too bad. Great rooms with very comfortable beds/pillows. The room is very roomy and really clean. The king suite had a separte little nook area with a microwave, fridge and sink. Has a separate sofa area. The staff was friendly.

This was a very nice hotel, it was clean and close to a lot of restaurants and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. I gave a 4 fir service only because the breakfast crew was not prepared. You had to wait on a lot of the food, and they did not have any butter. With that being said, I would still book this hotel again.

Excellent staff and comfortable rooms. Rooms have a bright and light effect. Breakfast included with the stay and had good hours for the weekend.

For the price we paid to stay here, I expected so much more. The outlets and lamps didn’t all work, it smelled like an animal had stayed in here, the fan in the bathroom was broken, there was no extra blankets for the pull out, and the breakfast was basically gone when we went down. Above all that, the ceiling above window began leaking and we quickly noticed that there was mold growing in the windowsill. It’s obvious that the problem extended beyond just our window/room as well. Not an enjoyable or even livable room.

I stayed for 5 days. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was lower quality of what Marriott used to do. Eggs were wet with pools of water. The sausage patties were flavorless. Fresh fruit was not available every day. The white milk cartons were expired the first morning. Cheese for the eggs was not available the last morning. The room was in need of updates. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet. The sink had cigarette stains. The carpet had blue stains. Trim along the wall was peeling off. The bathtub has a rusty chip on the bottom. The tv was an old flat screen not capable of streaming.

Mediocre vibes. The pool is giving Roman bathhouse cause it was steamy and smelly. The lack of water in the lobby was really tough for me. I will give them credit for having rooms with really good soundproofing.

A/C had tons of dirt in it... Not healthy at all. The a/c didn't work... Stayed warm in the room.. uncomfortable. Bathroom was not up to par and the refrigerator didn't have a colder freezer option near the top. You couldn't access the pool without asking the front desk and was closed by the time we returned from the conference aka wouldn't let us in. Breakfast was not good... And emptied out fast w how many were staying there and then you had to wait..and wait... The excellent reviews that made me choose this place were all wrong.

First of all, Shaunee at the front desk was amazing. She was so friendly and sweet. The hotel was clean but slightly dated. The AC worked great. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was basic. I was traveling with my 4 year old. He wanted waffles (which they had) with peanut butter (it’s his go-to breakfast). They didn’t have peanut butter. I know they can’t please everyone. But I wasn’t the only one to ask for peanut butter that morning.

We stayed at the hotel for a week , it was myself , my two teenagers and my mother . We were very comfortable in our room there was plenty of space. The shower had great pressure and hot water it was great . We enjoyed the pool which was open until 11 pm and the gym was open 24/7 which was awesome for my teenage they both used it. The breakfast was very good it offered both hot food choices and cereal and breads and fruit. Plenty of choices for everyone we were able to eat breakfast at the hotel every morning everyone was always satisfied and happy. The only thing I would have changed about our stay would have been would have been the fact that they do not clean the rooms daily . But I was able to just go to front and ask for clean towels when we needed them and then one day I asked for the room to be refreshed and they had no problem doing that.

Tbh there are way worse places, but way better places too. The pool is always out for service, the rooms could be cleaned better. Staff is nice they are always accommodating and helpful to change rooms if there is a problem. Breakfast could use some perking up as well.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU CHECK IN! I wish we could leave a 0 star review. staff was decent and it was fairly easy to check in, but that is where the good ends. We started to look around our room, and we started to notice the lack of cleanliness. To our disgust we found dried sperm stains on the curtains and couch cushions old blood stains on a pillowcase and under the bed sheets. Tried to find a manager to see about a room change couldn't find anyone but the worker at the counter, who did not have "clearance" to do anything about it. The turntable in the microwave did not work and, in general, we did not feel safe to sit anywhere but the bed after we changed the sheets. This was a little under a week ago and I have been trying to contact a manager everyday twice a day since we checked out and still have not been able to get a hold of anybody in authority. We will NOT be staying here again.

Sunday night stay and Mon holiday pretty busy motel. Lots of kids here for some reason as school is in session. Front desk had to check and call back on when breakfast was served and it ended 1 hour earlier than they said. Room is oddly laid out. Actually kinda weird.
