    It was earlier than check in time I had called several other hotels either they didnt except pets or told me i had to wait till 300: i couldn't wait i needed to get my kids settled. The reason why is because i woke up about 530 am to the smoke alarm i had a fire start on my back deck in seconds the attic caught and there was nothing i could do but get my family out.when i called best western and explained my situation without hesitation told me to come on in they would accommodate me. all the staff went above and behind to make us feel comfortable. The rooms were very clean it had a mini fridge microwave an indoor pool and they were pet friendly.they made me feel at home on the worst day of my life.i will always choose best western

    We arrived on a very busy night. Around 30 bikers were checking in before us. The gentleman working check in was clearly overwhelmed and had no help and they were short handed in housekeeping. Despite all of this, he remained professional, friendly, and compensated guests for their wait. Our room was great. It was clean, everything worked properly, and the beds were comfortable.

    Paid for room (108$) when I made a reservation, and when I checked in, I was charged an additional 150$ for an "incidental deposit." That was ridiculous. However, the best part is that I was then informed that the pool was closed. This is the only reason I even rented the room in the first place!!! Before ,I had paid would have been nice or before they tied 150 of my money up for 5 days, maybe! It was a horrible experience that inhibited me from even renting a room elsewhere. I didn't use the room, and I left, having only used the restroom. Thanks, guys. Great experience!

    The staff, room, and breakfast were amazing!! unfortunately, the pool was extremely dirty, with mold, and the water stank horribly. You can tell by just looking at it it has not been cleaned or scrubbed for a very long time. There was mold in the bottom of the pool, steps, and even the handle to get in the water. The water stunk badly. Also the floor around the pool was moody, dirty and disgusting. The pool is a big deal for my family. Even tho we love everything, I don't know if we would go back again just because of the pool situation 😞 I hope that gets fixed soon.

    Prior to being "allowed" to stay here, we were forced to sign an agreement stating that we wouldn't "party" in our room in order to secure the room for two nights; however, we came back to our room, quietly, just before 11:00 PM on the second night of our 2-night stay (Saturday night, 11/28/23) only to discover that this establishment has not one, BUT FIVE venue spaces. One of them was hosting a raging Halloween themed party with music that could be heard from the parking lot. Unbeknownst to us, this party was DIRECTLY below our room. If you're going to allow parties, then don't rent the rooms directly above the venue spaces! Our room was on the 2nd floor directly above the party. We called the front desk to find out how long the party was going to go on, only to be told that SOMEONE COLLAPSED AND DIED at the party!!! Great news! Let's keep partying!!! I finally went to the front desk at 12:15 AM, only to be brushed off again, with the desk clerk telling me she couldn't leave her post to see when the party would end. EXCEPT that she already had her cigarette & lighter cupped in her palm, and I apparently intercepted her just as she was going to step outside to smoke - LEAVING HER POST!!! She finally hollered over to someone who came out of the rave and instructed THEM to tell the DJ that the party was supposed to end at 12:00 AM. Clearly, the party goer wasn't interested in helping out. I refused to leave the front desk until the music was shut down, and repeatedly informed her that it was HER responsibility to the other paying guests to shut it down and restore some semblance of order. She even phoned her Manager using her personal cell, with the call starting out on speaker phone, when I heard her MANAGER tell her that she was already home and had no intentions of helping, to which the desk clerk took the manager OFF speaker and finished the conversation privately. Clearly no one at this hotel was interested in helping out. Finally, at 12:35 the desk clerk FINALLY left her "post", went into the dance hall and had them shut it down when the current song ended. When she returned to her "post" the phone was ringing and another guest was complaining about the excessive late noise. I'm not talking about some distant rumbling - our bathroom was vibrating and the main bed area shook with the bass. We travel to the Louisville, KY fairly frequently to visit family there, but we will NOT be staying at this establishment ever again. In fact, after being treated so poorly by the staff and having to deal with these accommodations, I doubt we'll stay in any Best Western hotel again.

    Magical evening, music made my feet dance almost every song. DERBY!! Delicious, ample food, drink. Clean restroom. SAFE parking. Good vibes all around.

    Fantastic hotel! The staff are all friendly and attentive, the complimentary breakfast is great, the location is about 10 minutes from both Churchill Downs and the zoo, lots of restaurants nearby, and there is an on-site indoor pool and gym. The rooms are clean and modern and the beds are comfy. I signed up for the rewards program so I can plan another trip with my wife soon!

    This hotel advertises an airport shuttle. Driver was friendly and ride was enjoyable BUT no driver was available for my return to the hotel one week later. I was told to catch a cab and they would reimburse me. When I arrived at the hotel, they said I needed to e-mail the manager to obtain reimbursement. I e-mailed promptly but was given the run around. My emails were eventually forwarded to the general manager, who said I needed to get a cash reimbursement at the front desk. I explained that this was not possible. Long story short, they eventually sent me a money order, but only after seven e-mails and twelve phone calls. What a hassle.

    This rating is for the staff. Our car broke down outside Louisville in the middle of the night on our way to the east coast on new year's eve with our 2 cats. We were completely desperate and the front desk and manager were compassionate, found us a miracle room for an incredibly busy night, and recommended car repair places for us the next day. Simone and the two front desk staffers (I wish I had gotten their names, they were so nice) made all the difference for us in a dreadful situation, and we can't thank them enough.

    No way would I ever recommend this place to anyone! We were in the area to celebrate a friends 50th birthday and around 7:20p we came back from dinner and decided to try out the bar. We never got a drink before the “bartender” flipped out on us and said she was going to her trunk to finish all this. Of course we were the “disrespectful” ones that were sitting at a table before deciding we weren’t staying there. Someone on our behalf will be in touch with best western about this situation as well as the police were contacted. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

    Chelsea The Sales Representative was so professional she helped the Miss Kentucky Dream Organization with all our pageant setup needs . The place was clean lots of space and staff , front desk was very nice I Wish I could give a 10 ⭐️ Review to this place.

    Excellent choice. .this Best Western..has made me want to choose Best Western in more locations.. It was Sooo nice.. I was impressed.. The entrance, the lobby, the breakfast area, the pool....I LOVED our 2 night stay.. And I didn't need the airport..but its close by..and I believe they also have an airport shuttle.. The room was really nice..spacious. a coffeemaker...rain shower heads..I liked that..!! Excellent view..from our 6th floor room.. Just really really liked this hotel.. Huge breakfast/lounge area seating.. Breakfast buffet was awesome..so much food selection was offered.. The pool is/was great..not no dinky pool..it was big...very clean..enjoyable..fresh pool towels... Nice... Wish all of our hotels on our road trip were this excellent..

    Would I stay here again? Probably not. The hotel was just okay. The elevators had a funny smell, our room was decent but had a lot of dust. Went to take a shower and the face towels were still wet. What really got me though was when we got there there were so many bikers there at least 50 or so more. We couldn’t pull up to the front to bring our bags in because they were blocking the entrance on both sides so we had to park and bring all our stuff in. We told the front desk staff and all he said was “interesting” but never said anything to them about moving because we left back out an our after that and they were still there with more bikers added to it. Around 230 am they were outside playing the LOUDEST music. Motorcycle radios are pretty loud and he had it probably the highest it could go. It woke me up and my husband there after. The music was playing for awhile before we had to go say something to them ourselves! We gave the hotel staff a chance to say something and they never did. The fact that we had to go say something says they can’t handle certain things. Looking back on other reviews apparently bikers come here all the time. So be aware of that if you do choose to come here. The next morning we headed out to visit family and there was trash EVERYWHERE! Liquor bottles, opened box of cereal with cereal all over the ground. Cups, just trash everywhere. I’ll be staying at ALOFT next time. We chose this location because it’s right around the corner from family but never again.

    I had the best time EVER!!! I had my 50th birthday party in 1 of the conference rooms and it was great. After a great party I went up to my room. I went to my room on a Friday and came out Tuesday. The beds are comfy & the breakfast is Awesome. This was all possible because of CHELSEA FOX she's Amazing. If u want to have gatherings or just want to rest this is the place. Couldn't have done it with out Chelsea Fox. Thanks

    I stayed here for two nights the hotel itself is very modern but the staff is very unhelpful. I ran out of towels and when I ask for some more towels they never came so I went to the lobby to request for towels and they were completely out of towels. So I had to buy washing detergent and wash my own towels. And their was stains on the sheets and hair and stains in the bathtub and toilet.

    Very Clean. Super staff. Bed and pillows totally comfortable!!. Big TV. Heat and AC on point. Hot breakfast awesome!! Pool water and temp great, but bottom could have been cleaner. Rooms, lobby etc are newly renovated and really nice!! Overall great stay!!!

    It was actually very poor. Booked for 2 nights over a month ago and we left after an hour after check in. They had to change our rooms due to cleanliness. First room the pillows were on the floor and dried up urine all over the toilet seat. Second room was supposed to be an upgrade but nope it was worse, the bed wasnt made and trash every where. Literally trash bags full of trash and pizza boxes all on the floor. The lady up front named Grace was not helpful nor empathetic. She was mad that we wanted to leave but didn't offer anything to keep us. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Ruined all our plans!!!!

    The room was up-to-date and very clean. The entire hotel was clean and did not have a "hotel smell". This was exceptional stay and surpassed all expectations for a Best Western stay. Mrs. Cheyenne was the perfect example of customer service from the moment we called about possibly arriving early to the very moment of walking out of the door. Well decorated interior and loved the Christmas decorations being placed, especially the frosted candy canes. Breakfast was hot and fresh. The waffle mix had a delcious cinammon taste that I find myself craving. The surrounding neighborhood didn't offer much but the location is close to where you need to be in Louisville.

    Came to Kentucky to work decided to take a couple of days off and get some rest and sleep . Didn't work kept knocking on my door asked me to come downstairs They made me leave my room after paying. With no refund I already paid for the room 3rd party they already have a $150 deposit. Trying to tell me when to come downstairs power tripping you got my money. I'm the customer you ever heard of customer service y'all ain't got it. Remind you I'm trying to sleep been working 60 and 70 hour a week.y You don't tell me what to do you got my money but they can have it they ain't worth my peace. Power tripping women and one of them talk too much over professionalism. Worst management ever she's uplifting the power tripping woman working the front desk. They help left another stain on my visit to Kentucky

    Hotel is super clean and modern. Looks recently remodeled. All of the staff member was super friendly and acknowledged every single time we met. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Kudos to their GM. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

    Easy access to the interstate, free parking and a covered drive up for checking in. Amazing facility with a nice daily breakfast, weekends they open the lobby bar. Rooms were set up with a good vibe. The customer service was outstanding, Diallo was my go to person at the front desk when I needed info of the area. I will be back and look forward to staying again.

    I came to get a room. I had more then enough on my card for the deposit and the room. My card was charged and the money was taken out. The service desk lady says it says the card was declined. I'm not sure what the heck is going on. Once so I shared a room with my friend and her son. What is so crazy is my card was attempted again and my card was on my property. I'm not sure but someone has their hand in the pot. This is outrageous. Help me understand what's really going on. How was my card charged again and it was on me and when do I get my money back.

    Great breakfast selection and clean rooms. The staff is wonderful. Shanika at the front desk and Yuselt the shuttle driver went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience while visiting for a festival.

    This place was perfect for my first stay there and plan to be back. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were good in size and was clean. Breakfast was good, parking was good, and front lobby was very receptive and accommodating.

    Very clean rooms. The employees are all very nice. The free breakfast is very nice. Buffet might include Eggs, sausage or bacon, fresh fruit, tortillas, bagels, bread, fresh waffles, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, juice, milk, coffee.... Some of the items rotate on different days.

    For the money it's a nice place to stay. The beds are comfy, and the room was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the pool was a nice cool end to a long day on the road. Looking forward to the rest of the stay.

    Even though I booked entirely with rewards points, they charged me $35 for the room with the credit card I had on file. Front desk couldn't even give me an explanation for the charges even though I have proof of the receipt from BW saying I owed zero dollars for the room. On top of that they charge a $150 "deposit" that supposedly will be refunded on check out (have yet to see that). So now my "free" stay totals around $185 dollars. So that's fun.

    The hotel itself is quite modern, but my only complaint is the lack of towel’s. During my 2 day stay at the hotel my family was only provided towels for the first day. The hotel was booked during the entire weekend, and the hotel should’ve this taken into consideration.

    This sooooo could have been a 5 star review, but they loose 1 star for intentionally blocking out Fox News. It is a new Direct TV service there, with CNN, CNBC, and others - but no Fox News. That’s intentional and it is enough to send me to a different BW. 1 more star down for a fairly dirty room. sticky syrup on the floor, chocolate and food on the couch, lots of food crumbs on the carpet. That’s the bad - the rest was very good. Furnishings were fine and modern. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Fix the TV and shampoo the room - then I’m happy…

    This is a huge hotel and it seems out of place where it's at but it's been great. I've stay many times and will continue. The staff has been great, the rooms are big, nice and they have the best breakfast EVER! I only have one complaint but for me it's MAJOR! My husband comes to town for work and has to be up around 4:30am to be at work early. All he wants when he gets up is to be able to get ready and go downstairs and sit with a few cups of coffee before his hectic day starts! However, he can't here because there's never coffee made! I personally drink coffee and only coffee and it's never made when I want some either 🤔

    This place is in a scary area. Room was clean, good sleeping, good breakfast but we got charged double. Still fighting with them over this. Best Western says "call Expedia". Expedia says BW fault they double charged for one night. Next call will be to my Credit card to claim fraud.

    I had the best time at Louder than Life, and choosing this hotel was a fantastic decision. The front desk clerk, Erica (coincidentally, my name too), was incredibly kind and ensured a smooth check-in, addressing all my questions. Soon after, I met the manager, Anna, whose warm welcome and attentiveness made me feel right at home. The impeccable attire of both staff members reflected the hotel’s overall cleanliness and elegance. The well-maintained pool and diligent housekeeping staff further enhanced my experience. I even had the convenience of a shuttle service! Upon check-out, Darrick took care of me with the same friendliness, ensuring my satisfaction. This entire experience was outstanding—from the energetic Louder than Life event to returning to a spotless hotel with a truly exceptional and caring staff. Without a doubt, I’ll be returning next year, making this my preferred choice when in Louisville.
