We
arrived
after
9
pm.
The
check-in
desk
was
unmanned,
but
a
clerk
did
come
out
when
we
called
for
someone.
The
room
was
standard
as
one
would
expect
from
a
budget
hotel.
The
entire
floor
was
under
renovations,
so
the
hallway
was
not
very
clean,
and
our
room
was
still
outdated
looking
meaning
we
didn't
have
a
renovated
room.
No
bathtub.
Looking
for
a
place
to
eat
at
that
hour
proved
difficult.
The
neighborhood
seemed
sketchy,
and
not
one
fast
food
place
was
open.
If
fast
food
closes
their
doors
after
dark,
it
means
don't
linger
in
the
area.
The
hotel
had
"Free"
breakfast
in
the
lobby
until
9
am.
Nothing
on
the
breakfast
bar
would
have
been
legal
to
sell
much
less
feed
their
guests.
By
8:15,
the
entire
breakfast
hot-
line
was
scant,
picked
over,
and
cold
to
the
touch.
The
waffle
machine
wasn't
working
because
there
was
no
batter.
Turkey
sausage
was
sharing
a
pan
with
bacon.
Receptionist,
when
I
asked
if
fresh
food
was
coming
soon,
she
responded,
"I
don't
know,
I'm
not
even
supposed
to
be
here
today",
then
she
disappeared
behind
a
door
never
to
be
seen
again.
Of
course,
we
left
and
ate
elsewhere.
