Quaint old Inn with several steps to climb to our room. Very clean. Extremely small bathroom and not good lighting, with creaky floors everywhere. Delicious breakfast and wonderful hostess. 😊 We are conservative and did not appreciate the liberal signs in the front yard.

An old farmhouse converted into a very nice B&B, within Louisville, but with the feel of being well into the country. My wife and I used this a the base for 3 days of excursions through Bourbon country. Breakfast was excellent. Comfortable places, inside and out, for spending some quiet time. A nice library on Louisville and Kentucky. Owners are friendly and talkative, but not intrusive. Only negative was that the bed was definitely smaller than a queen and was a bit on the squeaky side, but it did not take away from a great getaway.

Our absolute favorite stay on our road trip to New York. This house is immaculate and stunning. Every detail has been seen to. The hosts are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and private. The bed and bathroom were very comfortable. I want to go back just to stay here. Better than any hotel for the same or better price!

My high School girlfriends take an annual trip and we spent three days at this B&B. Steve and Devona are superb hosts and her breakfasts were presently beautifully and equally tasteful. We love the grounds, enjoying the afternoons at the pool. We highly recommend the 1840 Tucker House

The 1840 Tucker House is a lovingly restored farmhouse on a beautiful property. Devona and Steve are wonderful hosts, the beds are comfortable, and Devona's breakfasts are fabulous. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces in which to relax and enjoy. It's like stepping back in time, except with modern conveniences. An excellent value for the price. This was our second visit, and we look forward to returning.

What a delightful overnight stay! As a bit weary traveler upon arrival, I found helpful, friendly hosts, snacks and an assortment of beverages waiting for me in my room, and delightful linens on my bed for me to take a quick nap to rest my highway eyes. The Tucker House is a short drive from the interstate and yet so far away from driving stress. The trees, garden in the back and country road getting there was so wonderful... outdone only by the fantastic, bountiful breakfast! I so appreciate the history of the house but also that the innkeepers keep it so very clean and accommodating. Everything I would need was there. So many little touches made it special, such as the sounds of birds chirping in the early morning and fresh herbs cut from the garden to be enjoyed with my breakfast... the spearmint made great company for my cup of tea! I only wish I had a longer stay. [A special treat, for me, was once again experiencing an old-time spring-loaded screen door in my "Traveler's Room" ! How nice to open the heavy weather door to allow some fresh sunlight and air pour in! ] I came by this B&B when browsing online for a place to stay after planning to take an exercise break in the new Parks of Floyd's Fork nearby. The B&B was just as (and more) restful. STAY HERE the next time you are thinking of a stop-over in Louisville during your travels or make it a destination visit in itself!

My boyfriend and I’s stay at the 1840 Tucker House was absolutely lovely! Check in and out was a breeze and the owners both perfectly balance being warm and helpful while also allowing guests their privacy. And the breakfast!!! I can honestly say that was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. I am a bit of a history/antique nerd so I loved the historical accuracy in decor and wall art with a modern flair here and there. The Louisville guide books and magazines in the common room were a thoughtful touch as was the fully stocked Keurig. I did not have much time to explore the grounds, but they look gorgeous and the pool very inviting. Speaking of inviting, the two person jacuzzi tub in the Courting Chamber was just that! I am honestly surprised I ever left that tub. We were already discussing plans to return on our trip home!

The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The home was beautiful, well kept and clean. The gardens and pool were a peaceful escape from the big city. Breakfast was fantastic. This was a great little escape and overall experience!

We spent 3 nights at the Tucker house, and all I can say is, amazing! If you are looking for a romantic getaway, or just a weekend trip in Louisville, Ky. This location is a must. The Porter's are truly ambassador's for Louisville. From the historical home, to the quiet location, you will be impressed. After morning coffee with a friendly cat, you will be treated to a breakfast that rivals 5 star restaurants.

Second stay here and just as wonderfully satisfied as the first time I visited. The grounds and home are beautiful and Steve & Devonna are perfect hosts. My husband and I visited in October and it was an amazing vacation and stay at Tucker House. The breakfasts are 5 star and Steve & Devonna are so accommodating. Would highly recommend over and over again!

I'm a couple months late in posting, but 1840 Tucker House was a wonderful experience. My wife and I stayed for two nights and spent most of our time exploring Louisville and the surrounding area, but Tucker House was probably the highlight of our trip. The house itself is full of historic charm while still having all the modern comforts. Breakfast was wonderful and Steve and Devona were amazing hosts.

Steve and Devona are wonderful hosts! She even changed the menu when she learned I was GF. Then Steve went shopping to buy us breakfast to take on the road because we needed to leave quite early the next morning.
