This
was
our
first
time
to
stay
at
a
Tru
by
Hilton
and
probably
our
last.
The
lobby
was
inviting
and
had
lots
of
things
that
were
kid
friendly
such
as
gigantic
Jenga,
pool
table,
pool,
table
games,
etc.
The
front
desk
staff
were
initially
friendly
but
looked
unprofessional.
They
had
no
name
tags
or
any
type
of
uniform
shirt
designating
them
as
employees.
When
I
mentioned
that
our
daughter
and
granddaughter
were
coming
by
to
see
us
we
were
told
that
they
could
not
come
up
to
our
room
because
of
fire
code.
We
had
to
visit
with
them
in
the
lobby.
I
have
never
heard
of
this
rule
before
and
I
have
been
a
guest
at
many
hotels,
Hilton
included.
The
rules
were
clean
and
decorated
in
a
minimalist
urban
decor.
The
bed
in
our
king
room
looked
clean
however
the
sheets
and
pillow
cases
were
really
wrinkled.
They
did
not
look
fresh
and
crisp
and
most
definitely
not
inviting.
The
next
morning
we
went
downstairs
for
breakfast.
We
opened
the
hot
food
server
and
were
disgusted
by
the
bacon
that
looked
uncooked.
It
was
not
the
least
bit
crispy.
I
mentioned
it
to
the
front
desk
staff
and
was
told
they
would
look
into
it.
After
we
left
I
received
a
call
from
an
employee
saying
that
the
bacon
was
cooked
to
the
appropriate
temperature
and
was
fine
to
eat.
She
said
the
bacon
wasn't
crispy
because
they
didn't
have
an
oven.
I
responded
that
bacon
should
be
crispy
and
I
would
not
recommend
serving
it
and
maybe
they
should
serve
something
else
if
they
could
not
cook
it
properly.
She
became
argumentative
so
I
ended
the
call.
I
called
back
to
speak
with
the
manager
and
found
out
that
she
was
the
manager.
I
asked
to
speak
to
her
boss
but
I
was
told
that
she
was
not
there.
I
asked
for
the
GM's
name
and
when
she
would
be
there
and
I
was
told
that
she
was
not
allowed
to
give
out
that
information.
I
was
disappointed
with
this
experience
and
am
sad
that
this
is
the
way
that
Hilton
treats
their
guests.
