Beautiful restoration, meticulous historic woodwork, interior exposed brick walls, amazing staircase -- all presided over by Steve after rescuing the house when it burned 20+ years ago. Fabulous bathrooms, comfortable beds, good breakfasts. Loved the leek souffle and the Norwegian breakfast pudding! Charming hospitality. Great location within blocks of parks, restaurant and shops.

We loved our stay here and will definitely return the next time we pass through the area. Our room was delightful and the breakfast each morning was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the rooftop patio and close proximity to local restaurants and coffee shops.

My wife and I stayed for 1 night as we were traveling through the area. Simply put, everything was excellent! The cleanliness of the room, the decor, the accommodations, the staff, everything! The outside and inside of this establishment is incredible! The space is so warm and homely and inviting. If you can't relax here and enjoy yourself then you can't anywhere! Whether you are looking for something romantic or just a place to relax, this is the place! I can't wait to come back!

The perfect location, phenomenal hosts and an iconic building. My wife and I loved every second of our stay with Carol and Steven and will exclusively stay at the Market Street Inn whenever we're visiting Louisville or Jeffersonville.

Upon check in pulling in it was a great looking building. The staff were very friendly, and lived in the building so were able to help with any needs. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed all of it. Breakfast was great, our room was amazing. I recommend staying here instead of the big city for a much more relaxing stay and better option.

My husband and I visited the Louisville area just to get away for a few days. The Market Street Inn was a perfect choice! Our room was wonderful and the breakfasts were fantastic. Carol and Steve are so nice and made us feel right at home.

My wife and I stayed in the terrific, quiet 3rd floor suite! There were many options for a big hot breakfast, all great! Hosts were congenial and friendly and we shared and swapped stories from our pasts. Market Street Inn is in the heart of Jeffersonville and is quiet with off street parking and just steps from the no-toll bridge which only allows walkers and bicyclists to cross the Ohio River to Louisville and come back again. We enjoyed trying out coffee shops on both sides of the river! We hope to be back!

This is the quintessential bed and breakfast. The house is historic, was repaired and is now well maintained. The individual rooms have a wonderful setting, they transport you to another place in another time and allow you to relax. The location is terrific for walking to pubs and eateries in town. It's also just steps from the 1 mile long pedestrian bridge that crosses into Louisville. Breakfast is made to order, with good conversation. It's worth staying here and enjoying the change of pace from a traditional hotel.

I am local farmer that makes homegrown, homemade jellies and jams. I contacted Carol about featuring my products in her bed and breakfast. She said that we could meet the next day after 1:30pm, so I called at 1:30 and she answered and told me she did have time, so I headed that way. When I arrived I was told by Carol that she actually didn't have time to taste or discuss the products ($20 worth) I brought for her to try. I was taken a back, but it is what it is, so I told her to call me and let me know. I waited 2 weeks for a return call, and after that amount of time decided it would be best for me to reach out. Days later, still have not received a response. I'm a small farmer, not a lot of free time to deliver products 25 minutes, have a limited supply and regret the decision to include this bed and breakfast in my time table. Just wanted to share, enjoy....

Carol & Steve were very hospitable and welcoming. I cannot thank them enough for saving myself and my father from a dingy unsafe Air BnB. The rooms are tidy and everything is clean and sanitary. The house itself is remarkable. You can learn quite a lot talking with Steve and how he's rehabilitated the house since its historic fire. Centrally located, convenient for walking. Right next tot he new pedestrian bridge that connects Jeffersonville to Louisville. 2 minute walk to downtown proper. Excellent breakfast and convenience all around. Can't say enough good things. Thank you Carol & Steve!!

We have stayed there many times. Clean, comfortable accommodation. Friendly host. Best place to stay in the area if you have something to attend on either side of the river because the Big Four bridge makes Waterfront Park a beautiful walk away.

What a wonderful experience. Far superior to your standard hotel stay, very personalized and intimate, from the warm greeting from Carol the owner, to a breakfast spread that has already lasted most of the day, it couldnโ€™t have been better. Imagine a historic property with modern conveniences adding while preserving the charm. And a super short Rideshare across the bridge to downtown Louisville if the abundance of restaurants and bars located a few blocks away donโ€™t suffice. Definitely a great stay.

Really enjoyed our first visit to the Market Street Inn! Our host Jennifer was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Convenient location to get in and out of downtown Louisville, but in a quiet, cute neighborhood in Jeffersonville. Our room and the entire building in general was clean and well maintained. We plan on staying here again whenever we make it back to Louisville!

Just stayed 3 nights in the River Breeze Suite. Loved how spacious and comfortable it was. And we were well taken care of, from a tasty breakfast to restaurant recommendations. Would definitely stay again.

Warmly welcoming hospitality, location with beautiful view just a stroll down the street. Great biking and walking trail. The owners/staff of this place make you feel at home. Coming in to town late and it still wasn't a problem, we were greeted with a smile. Wonderful little gem!
