Love love love this spot! When I say the coffee is delicious I mean it is life changing - you’ll never go back to Starbucks! Pastries are good too! Not only is the coffee delicious but it is also ethically direct trade. The atmosphere is also cozy and bright inside with a nice outdoor picnic table as well.

Excellent single-origin African coffee. The seating is relatively limited, but it’s a nice quiet place to study or just chill on lower Brownsboro near Pat’s Steak House. They even have Kizito cookies and a small African grocery!

My new favorite Coffee Haus, honestly, ever. It's about five minutes to go in and out for a latte! The longest line was one person, once. Every other time they are at the service area read to take an other within 45 seconds, they are always cleaning or doing other service work when I walk in and then it's less than 45 seconds to take my order. At most 5 minutes to make latte. The espresso drip, which is the usual, is the longest part of the wait. I love the taste more than my, now second favorite, Sundergos(?) which is already will established. Which is saying a lot about the Coffee enriching taste and enjoyment. The atmosphere is still and low sound. Currently enough room but can see expansion in the future. I have driven from Old Louisville across town for their coffee. I will try there beans soon!

My sister and I were out and decided to stop for some coffee. We love Ntaba, it’s amazing coffee and we were close to the shop. I got the Cheetah and she got the Chai latte. The Cheetah is so good. You can taste every flavor it lists. She loved her Chai Latte, said the flavors, especially the nutmeg, was great. We love this place and highly recommend it.

This place is fantastic! I read my book in a calm tranquil environment. I had a large Expresso and I'm so happy. The Barista knew what he was doing and had well knowledge of coffee.

I walked into an open door at 7:05, was told, “just so you know, we don’t open until 7:30.” They proceeded to turn their backs and chat, while I stood there for 2 minutes. The espresso machines, coffee, right there, this neighbor wanting coffee and willing to pay, early or not, waiting at the counter, ignored for her lack of catching their hours on the way through an OPEN door and lights on. While they were indeed accurate that they didn’t open for 25 minutes, verified by checking the hours clearly posted on the door on my exit, I won’t be back to see if the reviews of a “friendly staff” are friendlier in 25 minutes.

The coffee is not only great, the iced tea is fantastic! They have homemade food like meat pies, and a small shopping market with cool eats. And it’s nice inside and well lighted.

Popped in again this morning hoping to get one of Bonns delicious lattes and a smile. Instead I got a lekker drink from the 2 nice baristas that served me. Was finally able to try one of the delicious pies. Keep up the good work!

Excellent coffee and interesting tweaks to the usual drinks. Nice to have the South African touches, too. Pleasant service, comfortable atmosphere. Have to add after a second visit and meeting the manager and his wife: this could easily become a new favorite place in town. Windows get great sun from the south, so it's a lovely spot to sit and work.

Great tea, great people! I am quite particular about my tea, and their Ceylon is wonderful! Also had a nice variety of food and beverages, a comfortable, beautiful space and owners with a mission that will warm your heart!

I just had my first sip of a latte from the newly opened location near Fern Valley and I knew I had found the best place around for coffee! If you love coffee this is a must try.

Always, always a fantastic time! Robin Mountain, the owner, is always there, and I always get my hug! We have know Robin and Stella for at least 30 years. They are just wonderful people. The store, the Safari Tour Company, the store (they have African products for sale as well), and the fact that they "give back" with each cup of coffee, are just a few reasons I got anytime I am in the area. Oh, and try the Chicken and Mushroom Meat Pie! YUM! Go check them out! You will be so glad you did! See our photos on Tingle Travel Agency!

I don't know about the whole African coffee thing, but I do know they do a great job of roasting and brewing here and offer a good variety of flavored drinks to boot. It's also a cute little place to sit and enjoy a cup, or it's close enough to some parks nearby you can grab some bean water and enjoy some time in the park.

Love this coffee shop! The cold brew is so smooth and their vanilla sweet cream foam is so so good. They have a little spice shop too to try out some new seasonings. They also have interesting eats like meat pies. Very welcoming and cozy and VERY nice staff!

Love the coffee. I cannot get my commute coffee there because they have dysfunctional cups that leak. Have told them before but got coffee all over myself last time driving to work. Please change cups

I’m from out of town. Googled coffee houses and this one came up with great reviews so I stopped by. Great friendly service. I got a latte and a scone. Scone was good and African roast coffee was first rate. Such an interesting shop. They also have a little area in the back with delicious European foods and candies that are hard to find in America. In addition, apparently they do tours in Africa. Such a unique place. I’ll stop whenever I’m in the area.

Not having nonfat milk is a major oversight for a coffee shop. Not everyone can drink whole milk or enjoy the different flavors of nondairy options.

Being South African we ought to stop by this cafe while passing through Louisville. It has a small shop at the back with some local South African products like chocolates, rusks, spices etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. We had some coffee and pies. Great tasting.

Saw the piece about NTABA on Great Day Live this morning so I went there at about 2 pm. There were only 2 customers, one seated and another ordering coffee from a tall guy. I walked to the area where food products are offered and browsed for maybe 15 minutes. I went out to the counter to ask a few questions but there was no one there. I waited a few minutes because I was interested in some of the menu items but no one came. At NO time did anyone ask if I needed help. So I decided to leave. Outside was a tall guy just walking around and talking on his cell phone. I think he was the barista but I’m not certain. Not the experience I had hoped for.

Wonderful coffee, fantastic owners and staff, tasty treats, clean and beautiful setting, and even a small shop where you can get authentic South African food products. The place is very calm, Zen. I enjoyed my Lavender Latte while looking at the beautiful artwork on the walls. My husband and I learned some interesting history when we conversed with the owners. We highly recommend trying Ntaba Coffee Haus out! We will definitely be returning!

Latte is very good. Best espresso in town. No acidity. Good milk no preservative or chemicals. They are working on staff to be open consistently. I am thankful they are open, but wish owner would be more compliant with social distancing... or mask wear when within 6 feet of people....however it is a learning process and the owner came talked with me....that was very much appreciated! Thank you!! They support folks in Africa and food from Africa in back of the shop to help support folks in Africa. Thank you for being here in Louisville.

If you haven't tried NTABA you haven't been to a real coffee shop. Best coffee hands down that I have had in a very long time. The coffee is so rich and flavorful. It's said I could only get a 16oz. cup because I would have totally bought a much larger cup if they offered a larger size. But it's worth the trip to buy this coffee, go ahead and give it a shot. I'll be a returning customer!

Fantastic operation. Two genuine and kind owners, husband and wife Robin and Stella Mountain, are so awesome with some true South African spirit that just pours out in their decor, their friendliness, and of course with that amazing African coffee. Their warm energy hits you on the first visit if you get the chance to meet them or chat. Bonus! They also run a Safari business that they'll guide you through back in their beautiful home of Africa. The best part is, they have a small grocery in the back of the coffee shop with nothing but South African goodies! PLEASE! Do yourself a favor and make this your new regular coffee stop, or grab some delicious tea, baked good, anything. You WON'T regret it.

What to get: any of their coffee drinks Time drink ready: 2-5 mins Vibe: quaint and comfy coffee shop Parking: small parking lot in a little shopping plaza ==The Space & Service== I've past this place a few times after it's opened up and thought I'd check it out on a late morning drive. It's a cute shop and the large windows and travel decor make it more inviting to stay. The staff are still new and in training, but everyone is helpful. I believe the owner brought me my coffee and he was talking about wanting to create some seating in the front of the shop someday. I love service that takes pride in their work and hopes to grow AND who come talk with the customers. Very homey already and I've only visited once. ==The Drinks== So far their menu is simple. As time goes on, I'd like to see what other offerings they'll have when I visit again. ++Latte++ I usually get distracted by latte art or the amount of flavoring in my lattes, but this was simple. I also was able to tell the difference in the espresso compared to other places and found that I rather enjoyed my drink instead of being indifferent to the taste. ==For Next Time== -I'd like to try some of their baked goods -Affogato if it's still hot out
