🫤 I grew up going to this park and still run there weekly. I love this park, although the restrooms are outrageously dirty and dilapidated. You'd think they would be the most well kept in the park system being that many out-of-towners visit the park while visiting the zoo or nature conservancy. Not on... I visited Shawee, Cox,Chickasaw, Camp Taylor and George Rogers Park this weekend. I was very saddened by the condition. The grass hadn't been maintain and there was litter all over the place. I also visit some of the parks in the East end Veterans to name a few and it was the complete opposite. If we can let's take a look at the difference and understand the we want our parks maintain to a standard as well. Being that this was the holiday weekend I expected more. I know Louisville Metro is bigger than what I noticed this weekend and that the oversight will be taken care of.

Love our metro park system! I appreciate the attention to returning the three large parks to Olmsted's original vision, as much as is possible.

The parks can be very beautiful. Grass is always high and not fun to play in or sit in. The restrooms are often unattended and filthy.

The parks in Louisville are the crown jewel of the city. I just wish the City recognized that fact and did what is required to keep them tip-top as they deserve - it would be a strong contender for the central part of the communities identity. The issue is limited multi-purpose trails, poor facilities, and aged play equipment detract from the beauty (although I dig the old-school swing sets that are still scattered about - they go really high).

You'd think they would be the most well kept in the park system being that many out-of-towners visit the park while visiting the zoo or nature conservancy. Not only should they be cleaned daily but also locked at night.

Played quail chase , it has become a complete goat ranch since metro parks took it over. What a dump.
