Such a nice relaxing walk. Plenty of shade and great scenery. Landscaping is maintained as well. If you have time for a nice walk and want to enjoy the outdoors come here!

One of my favorite parks in Louisville! Great playground for kids and they even have a creek with Ducks to feed! My son enjoyed chasing them! And there is a hospital right next door just in case the duck doesn't enjoy being chased! Just saying... 😆

In the 4 years I have lived in St. Matthews, BROWN PARK has been my place for peace. It is so great to see the improvements in the last year. All the removal of dead trees, and cleaning around the trailing brook, and the the planting of new floral trees enhances the underlining beauty of BROWN PARK. Now the donations of benches makes it a park of the community. I look forward to the coming years.🌺🌳

Happy Christmas and happy New year. Fantastic decoration at brown park. Nice decorating lighting effect, enjoy your evening. Very good park for kids playing and long walking trails. Nice small flowing ponds with many ducks. Recently renovated play area for kids is awesome.

I wish there were more in the way of toddler play areas, but I always love coming here to see the area and feed the ducks with my little one. The restrooms are basically inaccessible, though. It's not fun when you have a mom bladder and a toddler, and the restrooms are all locked out. Would rate this higher if the park considered bathrooms a priority.

This is a beautiful, serene walking/jogging trail. It also has an open shelter with picnic tables & bbq grills near the children's playground. Cleaning stations, restrooms provided. Throughout the trail there are numerous places to sit and take in the scenery and it has two walking bridges over the stream.. This park is pet friendly and currently has Xmas Holiday lights within the landscape.

Nice park with a long walking path surrounded by beautiful trees. There is also a relatively new playground that is good for kids 2-10 years old. There is a nice clean bathroom right by the playground too.

Beautiful park located in the heart of St. Matthews. I've been going to this park since I was a little kid (25+ years) and the beauty of it has not changed. They have made some improvements to the playground/restroom area so it's more family friendly than it used to be. They also go all out during the holiday season with Christmas lights, which look absolutely gorgeous and magical during the night. Definitely recommend Brown Park, unless you have a fear of ducks (this particular park is a popular hangout for ducks and ducklings).

I love Brown Park! I take my Yorkie, 2-3 times a week. They replaced all the black, crumbling walkways with concrete and made them wider so people don't have to stop to get out of the way. They have short walks and long walks depending on what you want. The ducks and geese are always fun to watch especially in the spring when they have their little baby goslings they're so adorable even though the parents hissit you to keep you away. An eagle scout did a project and he put a dispenser of pellet food for the ducks? it's only a quarter and you get a little bit in your hand to throw to the ducks. He also has a sign up explaining why you shouldn't feed the Ducks bread. Go and see it now at Christmas because they have the whole upper part of the park up lit beautifully. Lots of people there and kids playing on the gym equipment. Everyone's smiling and happy. Everyone at the park is friendly.

This is a very cute & small park. It has a few different trails based on the length you'd like to walk. There are doggie bags and bins if needed and pretty easy to access. There is an adorable little playground that is well kept, it also has water fountains. There was a building by the playground that I assumed to be a bathroom but didn't go inside. The trails have plenty of shade and sunny spots. It has 2 bridges and underneath them a ton of ducks and geese! My dogs are always thrilled to see them! I think this park is great for dog walks especially dogs of different size because of the different length trails provided. It's a great place to let your kids play on the playground and let them feed the birds. You can get pretty close since they're use to people. Enjoy!

I love this park. It is small, but always peaceful and the play area is awesome. I've been coming myself and then bringing my kids for over 20 years. 😱

Brown Park is a lovely, beautifully maintained park near Baptist East that appeals to a wide range of people. There's countless trails leading around and through the wooded areas. There's a great picnic shelter for gatherings. Theres a great little playground always busy with little tykes. There's grills and picnic tables throughout. And last but not least, there's Bear Grass Creek running through it full of ducks and geese most of the year. In the recent past, they built a nice brick rest room facility which makes Brown Park even better!

Browns park is our go to place for evening walks and sometimes during the afternoon also. This place is very calm and good walking trail. Also good place for kids to play, adults to hangout .

Noisy park with not enough parking. That being said, great location for a city park. Apartments and a major hospital near enough to walk to. Extensive trails that are all paved, making them great for strollers and wheelchairs. Nice pavilion and playground. Offshoot of Beargrass Creek runs through the park with lots of waterfowl (beware in some parts if you know what I mean) to observe.

Lovely park to stoll with children and pets. Very pleasant even on hot days as there's a good amount of tree cover.

I love this little gem. Located in St. Matthews, it's been a family favorite go to spot for years. If you get the chance to walk the trails, do it. Please be respectful when walking past the family cemetery. But feel free to take your little one to the playground where you'll find that every child gets a chance to enjoy themselves. My personal favorite time to go is during the Christmas season. Don't just take my word for it, go see for yourself. Enjoy! P.S., to the team that takes care of this park, THANK YOU and keep up the GREAT work ya'll!!!!

Very nice local park. Easy walking path meandering around Beargrass Creek. Lots of wildlife spotted on our recent walk. Clean and well maintained. Newly constructed restroom facilities located near the picnic pavilion and the playground.

I was highly impressed with Brown Park. It has something to appeal to every age group. It was very clean, safe, and we'll maintained. The stream and the ducks were a big hit with the kids. My first choice for a park to go relax at.

We love Brown Park. You can reserve the shelter house for free through the City of St. Matthew's. It's fun to bring cracked corn from feeders supply to feed the ducks. There is a 100yr old cemetery on the park grounds that's fun to check out. The walking trails are all paved so easy to walk with a stroller.

Very fun park with lots of options for my sweet climbers.

Great family park with a pretty full playground has bathrooms would be even better if they had one changing station brothers family had to change on a blanket outside. But the park was absolutely great otherwise 10/10. Will definitely recommend bringing kids here anytime they need to get energy out.

Great little spot, walking trail is super nice. Right next to a hospital so lots of people walking dogs and taking lunches there. Playground is big and nice. Trash cans with new bags, very clean place. I think the bathrooms get locked after a certain time, but I went during the day and they were nice and clean, had toilet paper and a hand dryer working lol. Definitely recommend for bringing your kids or walking the dog or feeding the ducks there :)
