Its charming, not what it used to be, but looks like it could be used to film a prison yard scene in a movie.

Shelby Park is a beautiful place to walk or take the kids to play. I would however not advise nighttime visits.

Live in the neighborhood and bring my dog here all the time. Good open space to let him run and retrieve. It's perfectly safe in the evening.

My case manager took all of his clients out there for some time away from home. Good place to go.

Huge open space and fun playground equipment for all ages. Some interesting neighbors, but all friendly.

I like this park! The basketball courts are nice and there's tennis courts there as well. When you go there you'll notice some very old massive trees in the center area. What a cool place!

One of the best parks, while growing up in the 80's. The B-Ball kings of the "Ville."

Had a free pumpkin carving event for the kids 💖 free pumpkins, carving kits, apple cider and hot cocoa and a food truck selling Mediterranean food and cans of soda.. so glad we came down this weekend

No public restrooms for my dainty 6 year old little girl who refused to pop a squat so our time there was short lived. That actually might not had been such a bad thing though.

I love this park its my home away from home I can charge my phone and clean up the park so kids don't have to play in a dirty park

Be careful here. People have been murdered in this park. Kids will throw rocks at your car at night. Lived near here for a couple years, not a good area.
