Dog park

🫀 The dogs are great but the people remind me of Southpark characters. They like to call park management over concerns of children younger than 10 being at the park. I apologize that my children are small for their age. People would really do well to mind their own business. People often mention dogs, park, small, large, areas,

Our dog Harley is a member of the Cochran Hill Dog Club. Members are allowed to bring guests and she frequently brings us with her for visits to romp with her Buddies. They have a big dog and a little dog side and sometimes the difference is based on personality not height or weight. They also have a third area which I believe is for dogs who are having a difficult time being polite with others. There's a picnic bench and a gazebo and a couple of scattered park benches for guests to rest on. Lots of room for running. There's even a hose and washing station as well as a couple of wading pools that members can splash around in. I'd suggest bringing a towel and shampoo in case your dog enjoys the water and your car doesn't want to get too trashed. Great dogs here, only occasionally do you find an aggressive member and the guests they bring with them seems eager to help out when there's a problem with a member's temperament.

Kinda smelly! The grass isn't as well maintained as some other dog parks. It's rather gross to walk around in large areas of grass that bunches of dogs are constantly peeing!

This dog run is well maintained from my experience since joining only 2 months ago. I use the small dog side and my older mixed beagle enjoys exploring the large open space. All of the dogs and humans we've encountered are well behaved. Lots of water bowls, balls, bags, seating, shade, and grass for my pooch to enjoy. There's also a large dog side that is much more active, plus there's a third fenced in area apparently for mixed use. Both the small and large dog sections have large gazebos for shade and seating. It's well worth the $40 annual membership. Membership requires that your dog is licensed and vaccinated. With membership you gain access to all of the association's dog runs throughout Louisville.

The park was alright. It's not that big and there isn't alot of seating around. There were also alot of stinkbugs in the gazebo so that was kind of unpleasant. Didn't like how there were some owners who blatantly let their dogs do whatever. I constantly had to keep pulling off a dog (chocolate lab) that was trying to mount my dog & the owner kept trying to pretend like he didn't see it. Don't know if I'll return.

Very nice dog park, membership required from Feeders Supply. Ample parking, and three separate fenced-in areas. One for small dogs and two for dogs of all sizes. Tons of room, but can get busy on nice days. Dog washing station and water available!

Very well kept, beautiful dog park. Watching the dogs have fun together is great! There does need to be more lighting in the evenings, however.

I’m literally here 4x a week with my pupper. 12/10 would recommend.

Lots of room and almost all the dogs (and owners) there are well mannered. :-) Three fenced areas are helpful. If you have a small dog or an unruly pet there will be a place to let your beast run.

45$ pass for 2023- purchased at feeders supply, along with bringing vaccination info for your dog and completing waiver.

The dog park here is maintained by grounds staff reasonably well. The large dog park is a bit small compared to Tom Sawyer and others in the area but still a good place to let the dogs run around. You will need to fill out an application with feeders supply and show proof of vaccinations to become a member. The dues for membership are yearly but relatively inexpensive.

In the winter the ground can worn down to the dirt, but once spring comes, it’s my favorite out of all of them. There are tubs of water for dogs to cool off in, and tons of tennis balls available, and large (sone some areas shaded) areas for plenty of running and ball throwing. Three fenced off areas available, small dogs, all dogs and one for dogs that may need more private space as the adjust to being at the park.

    1. it's members only which wouldn't necessarily be so bad if it weren't for 2. There are too many stupid rules

Nice park with plenty of room to run. Well maintained and well stocked with tennis balls. There are a few low areas where water stands, making mud pits that I'd like to see fixed, but overall it's still mostly safe to take the pups up there a day or so after rain and not be forced to bathe them right after.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This is our dog's absolute favorite place to go and we go every weekend. We started taking him as a puppy when he got all his shots. It's a fantastic place to take your dog for them to socialize. It is volunteer-run, so everyone is encouraged to contribute. The volunteer that does most of the care i...

🫀 Two stars? Yeah I know that's a little rough, kind of like the ground in this dog park. We had hope when we saw that it had a pond but once we got inside we realized the pond area has been locked off. But when you think about the other dog parks in the area and you look around outside this park and...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Love this dog park. You'll need a fob that's $40 a year, but you get access to several other Louisville dog parks. Big, open environments with water bowls, minimal shade for hot months, always dog bags, small pool tub for dogs.
