This is our dog's absolute favorite place to go and we go every weekend. We started taking him as a puppy when he got all his shots. It's a fantastic place to take your dog for them to socialize. It is volunteer-run, so everyone is encouraged to contribute. The volunteer that does most of the care is Alan. He's very friendly and does an amazing job keeping the park organized and clean. Ziggy makes friends almost every time we go. He loves it! There's also a playground connected to it so you can watch your kiddos and your doggos.

I’ve been traveling overland for 6 months with my dog and have seen about 50 dog parks. This one is special, it’s more of a people and dog park. It’s very nicely maintained by volunteers on land provided by the adjacent school. It’s maybe a little less thank an acre, flat, and with cedar chips, which I prefer over dirt, grass, cement and astroturf found at most parks. The terrain is flat. There are at least 100 chairs and many trees, a very relaxed and friendly vibe among dogs and people, and it’s free without the requirements for membership. It’s also in a nice location to other venues with outdoor seating and dog friendly. A great design feature is a small playground for children built into a corner of the space so a family could at the same time have their dogs and children play separately. I always worry about kids being at a dog park, as they need to play, too, but not with dogs. In short, one of the best parks I’ve seen, especially for an urban environment.

I came here after reading the reviews and was looking forward to letting my dogs have some fun off-leash time. I’m a travel healthcare worker so I was disappointed to see that most parks here are membership only. The park is small but has seating for the owners. There were 20+ bottle for water and every single one was empty. The water bowls were basically filled with mud. Strike 1. I let my dogs off leash and they went to play. There was a woman throwing a ball for her dog and when my dogs headed his way she screamed to keep my dogs back because her dog bites 😳. What??? Why in the heck would you bring an aggressive dog that bites to an open park???? I grabbed my dogs in time but a poor doodle pup got this wrath and was immediately attacked. I started to leash my dogs and leave when the woman continued to play fetch with her dog instead of immediately exiting the park- Strike 2 and Strike 3. I guess it’s people like this that make it necessary to have private dog parks. I left a immediately I’ll never go back.

Love this friendly fun dog park. Theirs no seperation from puppies and big dogs it's big enough room for everyone. You get to meet play and have fun with all ages size and gender of animals. Layla loves the dog park she knows her way there by heart 💜 it's her favorite thing to do 🐾💕💯

Great free park for dog's to run and play. Many seating options, umbrellas, toys for the dog's and clean up bags. Park is run by volunteers who do an excellent job of keeping it clean and organized. Many dog owners also chip in by bringing water and picking up after their dogs. Rarely aggressive dogs.

I had been here years ago with my previous dog and remembered how well it was kept and that it was community-run. Fast-forward to now and I take my dogs to another park that is closed on Mondays. My dogs do not understand the word "closed" so they still expected park time, not walk on the city streets time. I remembered Morton Ave Dog Park and brought them here. THEY LOVED IT!!! New smells, new friends, newer things around the park, it was perfect! Highly recommend!

This is my favorite place to take our loving lil blue nose bully.... Her name is Layla Dawn and she has so much fun while at the park... It's the only place we found that our dog is free to be herself she doesn't have to be fixed and why would we want to fix her anyways just to take her to some stuck up dog bar like the ones down the road... Our Layla has been going there since she was a small pup... Now we did have to give her a break from the place for a while cause she caught kennel cough... But it was a time that we took her up there and there was only one dog with it's owner up there and she had played with one of the toys... The place doesn't have paid workers... So it depends on volunteers to keep it clean and in order... My girlfriend and I decided we were going to start volunteering at night when the park is closed to disinfect the toys.... But all in all the is a pet and people friendly place to go.

Took my precious layed back golden retriever grandpuppy to this no fee park in Louisville. She and I both were looking forward to it. She is the kindest most lovable dog you could want. At first the park seemed okay. A lot of shade, bowls for water etc. Those are about the only perks. It is extremely dirty. My dog was attacked twice within 15 minutes. A smaller dog similar to a doberman tried to go for my dogs neck. My dog always wears a harness. Me being protective of her, especially since she is my daughters dog, jumped in front of the mean dog and my dog. I spoke in a ton to cause this dog to back off. The owners of the dog were to busy on their cell phone to seem to care. Thank goodness Billie or I wasn't hurt. I made a mad dash back to our home. I will never set foot in this dog park again.

Small, free dog park. No separate area for small dogs. Plenty of seating in the shade. Toys and water and poop bags are provided. It's run by local volunteers. The ground is loose dirt and wood chips so it gets dusty when the dogs run. On street parking. There is an ajoining playground for kids.

Visited when we were driving by Louisville recently. Great dog park. Amazing group of regulars who meet there at 10am every day. Nice rowdy but friendly dogs.

Nice and free. Pet friendly bars close, the parking could be better, but you can't really complain. Friendly people, friendly dogs. Love this place!

Very very cool! Will return frequently. Very relaxed and very open. Make sure your dog is comfortable with other dogs first because it's actually just a really large fenced in yard to let your dog run around in. I think it's excellent! Oh yeah, there's also a small fenced in playground for my other animals (aka children) to play too!!

My pup and I love this dog park! It has been the only FREE one we have found in the Louisville area. The only thing I do not love about this dog park is some dogs owners bring are not socialized so they often start fights with others who are trying to play (usually on busy days). Despite this my pup and I still frequent this dog park on a regular basis.

I love the shade the trees provide on hot days. Everyone is super friendly and that my dog had fun running around playing. 💓 I wish it had more grass. Seating was adequate, there were plenty of tables, and it was a laid back atmosphere. There are jugs of water, plenty of bowls, and poop bags are provided (if you forget yours at home). 😁

Excellent dog park. Wally & I were visiting from VA & I couldn't have asked for a better place to let my 6 month old run out the puppy zoomies! The locals were so kind & welcoming & their dogs too. Lots of space to run, sniff & plenty of water & great areas for shade too. Tyler Park area is very nice. A big shout out goes to local pub O'Shea's Irish Pub for helping maintain the park. After you & you pooch are done you can walk to PG & J's Dog Park Bar. All great finds in Old Louisville.

Very well maintained dog park, free to the public. Please be mindful about your digs behavior, and be sure to clean up after it. The parks volunteers do a great job but the community has to be responsible to keep this a good place

Love it here. Secure, water provided, plenty of space for pups, and my dog leaves worn out every time!! Great dog parents and atmosphere as well.

I was bit at this dog park today. The owner of the dog said absolutely nothing to me and there’s no way he didn’t see my hand bleeding. A bystander helped me wrangle up my dogs so I could go get attention to my hand. Besides that- the park is dirt and mulch. No grass and very messy. A nice gentleman brings gallon jugs of water for the pups and empties the poo containers.

🫤 The dogs are great but the people remind me of Southpark characters. They like to call park management over concerns of children younger than 10 being at the park. I apologize that my children are small for their age. People would really do well to mind their own business.

🫤 Two stars? Yeah I know that's a little rough, kind of like the ground in this dog park. We had hope when we saw that it had a pond but once we got inside we realized the pond area has been locked off. But when you think about the other dog parks in the area and you look around outside this park and...

👍👍 Love this dog park. You'll need a fob that's $40 a year, but you get access to several other Louisville dog parks. Big, open environments with water bowls, minimal shade for hot months, always dog bags, small pool tub for dogs.
