👍👍 Love the new hiking trail & boat ramp & can't wait to see the progress of the boathouse! Shawnee is a gem & deserves all the love from the city, metro parks, private investors & non-profits - same as the parklands! People often mention park, nice, beautiful, playground, Park,

It's a beautiful large park with lots of fields space and nice new play grounds. There is a pond with very nice chess tables near Broadway. Over all very nice park, it has to be one of the biggest in louisville.

Such a gorgeous day. Lovely historic park. The kids playground was new and had several things to offer. I loved the wooden obstacle course for kids to play on. Restrooms were close. There were also courts and baseball. Such a nice park.

Great clean and peaceful place to walk or run. I enjoy running laps up and down one of 2 set of stairs. Small step but one is 110 steps high.

My son and I decided to go for a walk. We started around 40th and walked to the park. We found a bench off to the side, below a big beautiful tree. We sat, talked, enjoyed the breeze, and each other's company. Park is clean.

Nice park in the westend, very historic to the city of Louisville. Held many events such as concerts, sports tournament, holiday activities, family reunions etc. Some violence every once in awhile but mostly peaceful and friendly.

A BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY PARK. SOME NEW UPDATE INFORMATION FOR A LONG TIME, PEOPLE WONDERED ARE THE CAMERAS IN THE PARK? NOW YES. ONLY 3 CITY PARKS HAVE THEM (SHAWNEE IS ONE,) THE PARK SYSTEM, WANTS TO MAKE , A DIFFERENCE IN THE PARKS, WANT TO MAKE THE PARK, SAFER PLACES. THEY ARE WORKING ON THE MACHINES, THEIR SPEAKER, MAY BE TO LOUD, AND LIGHT TO BRIGHT, THEY ARE WORKING ON IT.

Nice Park that has been recently redone. Watch out in the aquatics pond though. There are jelly fish (they are invasive, and the city is working on it, but they don't sting) and a snapping turtle in the pond. Still a very beautiful park though.

I bring my German shepherd here at least 3 times a week for play time. There's plenty of space for catch.

There is a nice playground for kids, You can also go jogging or walking here. But there is only ONE bathroom available and it's just one toilet with no toilet seat and IT IS FILTHY! THERE ISN'T NO SOAP, The floor is always disgusting and wet isn't any place where id have my children in or myself.

The winter wonderland was a beautiful effort! If the city would put more money into the community it would be really something special. With it being free you really have to look at the effort and like I said, it was beautiful ❤️

This park is really cool and in a great location. There is an awesome view of a power plant across the river in Indiana that looks like it's from a sci Fi movie. Wish there was more to do as far as playgrounds, etc. But it's a nice place to sit and relax.

A beautiful park to visit, lots of play areas and picnic spots. The pond is nice too, and had plenty of seating.

So far I think it is a comfortable neighborhood that minds it's own. I would take this route again as long as it keeps improving 🤠

Absolutely nothing special. I wasted gas and time driving there. A lot angry parents on playground. Definitely not like in Cincinnati.

The ohio river is here in the woods, with a paved road going to it and around the entire park. Its decent here. They got water fountains which is GREAT!

Went down to the park and took a walk by the pond were there are litt white jelly fish in their. The city needs to take a net to it clean it up a little get the plastic cups, bags, things like that out.

Really nice park! Lots of space. Water area for kids, playground, basketball courts, areas for families to have gatherings. Loved it.

46 mins of being at my son's baseball game someone busted out my car window and stole my purse out of it.

We visited this park for a family event. Very spacious. The water park along with playground was very convenient considering we have children of multiple ages. Bathrooms were stocked and pretty clean considering they're conveniently located right next to the playground. Hands down that was the best feature. Plenty of shade as well.

Was there for a light show that was not very good or organized well. Police were present but all very rude and unhelpful. Waited in line for an hour to get in and then while driving in the park, waited another hour and 15 minutes just to go 1/2 a mile for nothing but rude and unruly patrons and locals who didn't want to follow the flow of what should have been a nice event. We will never return to the waste of time west end of Louisville. Maybe Kentucky should teach better life skills and manners for proper turn taking instead of anger reflective entitlement because they have guns and illegal drugs in the vehicle.
