Beautiful, just beautiful. The street is lined with amazing town homes pulled right from a magazine. The fountain is the center piece of it all. Park anywhere on the street. A must see when you're visiting Louisville.

Beautiful fountain in the heart of the historical old Louisville. The grounds are well maintained and give off a distinct French vibe that fits the town.

Gorgeous, unique, quiet district. Whether you do a quick drive through or take 45 mins to walk around the area it really is special. It makes you feel like you are not in the U.S. Walk down Belgravia and Fountain Court for the real experience. Park outside of the district and walk in to pretty landscaping and striking homes. Well maintained area, but outside of this specific court area is the exact opposite- almost a bit sketchy and certainly dilapidated. Free and definitely worth a stop if it is the sort of thing you are into. My favorite house pictured below. Informative plaques to read.

This is an amazing historical fountain in the middle of St James Court, in Old Louisville. It runs during spring and summer, part of fall, then shuts off for winter to preserve it. It's beautiful any time if year. ❤️⚜️

BEAUTIFUL landmark in the middle of the largest collection of Victorian architecture in the country. It's worth your time to walk the neighborhood and explore the many different styles of Victorian architecture.

Great neighborhood to take a walk and see gorgeous houses from the 1800's, you can have a feel how it was back then with gas lit lamps, ancient tall trees, boulevards, pasajes and streets, many houses are registered as historical, interesting architecture and well preserved, water fountains and pieces of art.

We saw this as part of a Historical Home of Louisville walking tour. Very interesting story of how this area started out.

We were looking to waste some time while driving through Louisville and decided to go check out all the old mansions. It was a pretty area with huge houses. It would have been cool to visit the mansion we could tour, but they weren't giving tours when we were there. So if you want to go in check ahead for your times. It wasn't the best time, but worth it if you're in the area.

St James Court is part of my daily walk. I walk around Central Park first. I find something interesting to see about every time I walk around St James Court area. One of my great finds was a pair of dragons on Belgravia Court. You'll have to look up to find them.

Beautiful area for a stroll and nice photo op. St James Court is always a peaceful walk and is also the site of the Annual Art fair.

I have been to St. James Court for many Art Fairs over the years. I have taken friends and family to see St James Court, the fountain and beautiful homes located on the Court. This is truly a beautiful jewel in Old Louisville.

I love this, I've been going since I was a teenager. It's been a tradition I've started with my family. We don't kiss a year weather permitting. My favorite tent is Wagalabagala. It is usually crowded but it's big, there's great food and drinks and everyone is nice, not alot of rude people here so the crowd isn't bad.

The heart and soul of Old Louisville and one of the best examples of Victorian era architecture in the city, if not the country.

👍👍 The belle of Louisville is a marvelous place. Not only is it a good place to learn a little about the Ohio river and the rest of the history of the city, but the boat is beautiful and their gift shop has plenty of things in it that are priced fairly for memories and fun.
