I really enjoyed this place. Our waitress was Ash. She said she was new but we couldn't tell. She was very nice and friendly. I loved the Ballin Out Crunch Roll. That was my favorite of the four things we tried. Can't wait to go back for that. Yummy

Brandon and Liam rocked it in on the bar out back. Back bar is low light setting with high class looking bar. Front of restaurant has bright open windows with a good amount of seating and lovely foliage throughout. The food never disappoints. We always get the vegan rolls and my favorite is the Coco Caliente. Em is also a great server and I love all the locals that work here. The best sushi spot in town in my opinion.

Really enjoyed Dragon King's Daughter! There was a great variety of food options from delicious sushi, appetizers, and a strong sake selection. Service was quick and congenial, and prices overall fair. Would definitely return!

Such a cool place! Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, great to-go service. Tons of options for sushi and interesting Asian fusion dishes. Great place to meet a friend for sushi, or just to grab dinner. Lots of indoor seating. At my last visit I had to give their ginger salsa a try, and it's absolutely worth it if you want something a little different. Convenient location on Bardstown Road, cool building. Love this woman-owned business and local gem.

Monday night....not really busy. I REALLY wanted to LOVE the place but it was a bit of a downer. Had a group of six from out of town who were excited to try Japanese/American fusion but the experience was lackluster. Firstly the host explained an expected wait time of approximately 40 minutes even though my 10 year old son walked about and took pics of empty booths that could easily seat us all. After 25 minutes we approached the host for an update and she casually mentioned that they will just join some tables if we'd like. There are NO menu's - only QR codes so be prepared to stare at your phones which is 'cool' for some BUT those of us with guests from international countries don't necessarily have DATA and the server explained that there was no WiFi and no paper menu's so it took longer to work out what everyone wanted. I found it difficult to find the alcohol menu on my phone so simply went for a wander up to the bar to see what the offerings were. Awesome ambiance and amazing bar but several empty booths where we could have eaten however it felt more like an exclusive Hipster nightclub for under 25's than a restaurant. It was annoying that we made to wait for no reason and I didn't bother buying a drink at all as no-one even approached me so I just had a water with my meal. Regardless, the food was fresh, reasonably tasty and original. Certainly not groundbreaking or anything to rave about. Prices are good for the portion sizes. The BIG salad was tasty, the Seafood curry was mild and original with a dollop of Mozzarella cheese on top - the rest of the dishes were basic and fresh. Several of our items that we ordered were not delivered so we had that corrected off the check when it was time to leave. The staff seemed indifferent and unconcerned...more focused on the 'trendier' clientele who ordered water and a sushi to share. In the end, it was disappointing. Prices were reasonable, food was alright, love the look of the place but we won't be back. Just go to Sapporo, Oishi Sushi or River City drafthouse for great food and service. Finally, I know that some restaurants do this now for many reasons but adding a minimum tip to the check without customer input is lame. Japanese-style toilets were the best part of the whole experience.

Sushi was great and the price was right. This is my new favorite Sushi place. We tried multiple rolls and they were all good. Suggest going during happy hour! They have really good specials!

I’ve heard great things about this place, I have been dying to try it out. Today at Dragon kings daughter we were sat with Makenzie as our waitress, she was so sweet and helpful. I ordered the stuffed wontons as an appetizer, and the hot sake… YUM! I loved the flavors of the jalapeΓ±o cream cheese mixed with the crab. I got the Ballin’ out of crunch roll and the nachos with ginger chicken. Both tasted very good! I will definitely come back to try the bibimbap and the other sushi rolls 🍣 5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tonight for our second time here we had Caleigh as our server, she was so nice & super fast! We ordered the Selfish shellfish sushi roll & the Swanson roll. Both were good, the shellfish one has a lime on top which added a unique flavor, I loved it! For entrees we got the Lemongrass miso soup with Esquites bimbimbap, Teriyaki chicken tacos, and a Spicy chicken quesadilla. The miso soup was not my favorite but everything else tasted AMAZING. We love DKD. πŸ‰

Been all over America for work and this definitely keeps up with some of the best sushi in America. The Lemongrass Miso is amazing, tuna tataki was fresh, and the Hoosier Mama roll is a must order. If I'm being picky about the food....the rice was a bit thick in the roll, but not enough to take away from the great flavors. Definitely Recommend

Good service and the food was bomb. If youre wanting a purely authentic Japanese experience, all of the servers I saw were not Japanese so you might consider that if it's important to you. Personally I just really enjoyed the Black Widow roll and the BBQ Beef Quesadilla.

This is not your normal sushi restaurant. They've got Mexican, Korean, and even some Italian flare. We ordered a chicken appetizer and it tasted like chicken cutlet strips with marinara sauce. Next was sushi, we ordered one "cooked" and one "not cooked". The one in the picture Neighbor Toto Toro was too interesting to say the least and we couldn't stomach to eat it. It tasted like tuna salad with loads of soy sauce and salt. The reviews were appealing, but it didn't match what we had experienced.

Dragon King's Daughter in Louisville is a truly unique and magical place. From the moment you walk in, you are transported to another world. The atmosphere is enchanting and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food at Dragon King's Daughter is simply amazing. The menu features a variety of Asian-inspired dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I had the pleasure of trying the Pad Thai and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful and authentic. The drinks at Dragon King's Daughter are also top-notch. I highly recommend trying one of their signature cocktails. I had the Dragon Fruit Margarita and it was refreshing and delicious. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Dragon King's Daughter. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique and magical dining experience. This is my favorite place in Louisville to go for sushi and sake! I always like to go between 3-6 pm which is when they have discounted sake and sushi (happy hour). I got the dipity, sabor con fuego, and the indulgent sushi rolls along with the house sake (picture below). The first two are great if you like something similar to a spicy salmon rolls, the last one is great fried roll. Also, this is my first time visiting the new location. The last location wasn't bad but this location has an upscale feel to it with a really nice bar in the back. Plus the sushi rolls are pretty big here, I'm never leaving hungry here! I would highly recommend eatting here!

The menu was πŸ₯΄ u have to download it from your phone, no pictures, and the waiter was the bartender, cook, manager, chef but he was awesome tho. Wasn't a fine of the food they charger for sauce separately. Nice place but would definitely have to look up the menu before I go again.

Sushi was good, we tried Son of Jade and Dipity. Also the daikon fries were good although we had yuzu sauce instead of the curry mayo and thought it a good flavor combo. The fish cheeks were very yummy. Our server, Ken was very pleasant and service was great.

I've only ever had good experiences at DKD. The new location looks great and their daily happy hour from 3-6 (including on weekends) has some great deals. The house sake for $4 is a good deal and the happy hour pricing extends to specific rolls. I'll note their miso soup is different from traditional miso, but still tasty. On a recent visit, we received great service from Errol and ordered the Pork Steamed Buns, as well as The Hawk and and we left very satisfied.

We live in Indiana but came here third time. The food are really tasty and there many vegetarian options. Specially recommend the tempura sushi roll and any of combination.

Really amazing vegetarian options! The Daikin fries were amazing as was the gyoza. The vegetarian Korean bibimbap was one of the best I've ever had. They have an interesting selection of vegetarian sushi, not as good as ones as the ones at Blue Sushi but not bad.

The atmosphere is nice here, with several options of seating style. I sat inside at the bar and was attended to by a very nice and knowledgeable server. I noticed later that their outdoor patio was very beautiful as well. I had a couple of rolls and tried a sashimi appetizer that I had never seen before as this place does Mexican fusion. I would come back for the atmosphere for sure and to try new things.

I found this restaurant through a Google search. It had great reviews so while in town for business we found it. Parking was tough but it was worth it. We had the ginger chicken nachos that everyone raved about. They were great! My wife had the shrimp tempura tacos and I had a roll. The service and all the food was amazing. If we travel back to Louisville I would definitely go here again.

After hearing about the great sushi they served, a friend and I decided to try it out. I have to say that we were not disappointed! The staff were very efficient and friendly. The speed on which our food was brought to us was incredible, yet there was no sacrifice in how it was prepared and presented. As for our food itself. It was exceptional! Both rolls and the sashimi were delicious! We were informed that they would be moving locations soon, and we're already talking about planning another visit possibly before that change.

Great atmosphere and awesome food! There’s a bar upstairs with a wide variety of cocktails, wine, beer and sake. The food was fresh and delicious! We mostly got raw fish nigiri and sashimi and everything was beautifully presented and tasted really good. Service was great too!

Really nice and fresh food. Kimchi was spicy and portion size was great. Had the lemongrass miso soup, delicate flavors. The big salad bowl with ginger miso dressing was refreshing. I had the mad max which is asparagus tempura roll with cream cheese on top. We enjoyed some warm sake too. Plenty options for vegans and vegetarians

This is true fusion so be prepared. Latino & sushi. There is no sushi bar which was disappointing. What I had was good and the concept of the heated bowl was interesting but not truly delicious. The place is a bit run down from the gash in the wall when you enter to the bar that looks like they are simply storing things behind it. But the people are really interested and nice and it's got the eclectic feel. Absolutely a try again.

Such a great experience. Lively atmosphere.. Great food with incredible preparation and presentation. Felt a "little" rushed but they're super busy so I get it. We'll be back soon..
