Love this bakery. You can tell they take pride in their dough! Every item was perfection! From savory to sweet, croissants to quiche, and coffee, we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here. There’s a few tables and two benches out front and no dining in currently, also lots of people coming in and out so grab your food and seats ASAP or watch others enjoy good food ;-)

Super delicious pastries! There are so many beautiful pastries and baked goods to select. The place was very crowded, we were there at 9:30 and the line was already long.

My favorite bakery in Louisville. We always take out of town visitors for breakfast/brunch. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like, but I highly recommend the pain au chocolat (my kid’s favorite), the kouign amann (my favorite), and the breakfast sandwiches. Get there early or some of the more popular baked goods could be sold out. This place is soooo good!

The Cobb Salad was amazing!! Wasn’t expecting it to be so huge. Very filling with bacon, avocado, egg, grilled chicken and tomatoes. This was my first time here and I will absolutely be back when I’m in this area. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Blue Dog Bakery & Cafe is located at 2868 Frankfort Ave. in Clifton a neighborhood of Louisville Kentucky. The bakery is across from railroad tracks with street parking. Blue Dog has 2 doors one for cafe other for bakery. Walking in you take in the odor of fresh baked breads and pastries. Prices are comparable to local good bakeries but the experience is so much more. I have been to Italy and the bread and pastries from Blue Dog are as good or better than anything from Italy. Should you go in hungry you will leave totally satisfied from your trip to Blue Dog. Say hi to Sunny she will take good care of you.

Beautiful storefront, friendly staff, delicious baked goods and coffee. Cafe seating outside on a beautiful day is the icing on the cake! Thoroughly enjoyed a lazy Saturday afternoon watching the people and antique Volkswagens pass by!

I love this place! The pastries always have a great texture and flavor. They also serve the best coffee. The staff was very friendly and the space is in a great location. Definitely a gem for Louisville!

Visited for the first time today and fell in love, this place is a well-kept secret. Amazing coffee, pastries, staff, and atmosphere. The curbside patio reminded me of Paris, lots of friendly people

Not a Keto friendly astablishment but will cheat any day for the craving fix of delicious bake goods. The salads are excellent and the desserts the same. Great meeting place to hang and OH!!.. The coffee😵😍, strong an full of wake you up go gettness. The coffee is NOT watered down like most places, NO matter how you like it.

Blue Dog pastries live up to the hype. I got the spinach and feta croissant ($6), the ham and cheese croissant ($6) - which was truly the star - , and the date and roasted pecan scone ($4). I wanted one of their more robust breakfast options but the line was moving slowly and I was on a time crunch. If you’re not going to eat at Blue Dog I’d recommend ordering ahead as the line gets long. The online menu has far fewer options than the actual bakery when you go in person for breakfast / lunch. There’s both outdoor and indoor seating options.

One of my top bakeries in this great country! The assortment of pastries, macrons, and coffee is out of this world. It is located on the charming Frankfurt Ave. with the train carving through Louisville just across the street. It is located close to some other delicious restaurants in a walkable neighborhood.

First time in Louisville! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here at Blue Dog. The environment is casual and comfortable, I felt like a local. Poached eggs and breakfast burrito were delicious. My favorite was the smoked salmon pizza; usually smoked salmon is too salty for my taste but the quality was so high, there was minimal salt so you can taste the quality of the salmon. We got a breakfast pizza to go for later :)

This is a cute place without bread in the afternoon and hence too far off my own living area. My wife found online a German bakery that will ship to us next week their fresh farmers' bread And thus solve a 5 year old dilemma since we moved here. Thanks. You are very kind folks.

This place is a fabulous cafe and bakery. The baked goods are fantastic quality and their breakfast menu is really delicious. The dinner room is pleasant and service is good. Their coffee is Illy which I don’t love, but it’s still coffee. Deft worth a visit. They are making the world a better place one pastry at a time.

I drive across town just to purchase fresh & unique breads from this bakery. Reasonable prices. The pastries are delicious! I’ve eaten brunch here numerous times and have always left satisfied. A little gem of a bakery in Louisville.

Great, interesting bakery and coffee place in Louisville. Pastries are lovely and very tasty. Prices are a little high for eating there too often, but the quality is very high. There was a bit of a line to get in. Seating is mostly outdoors, a few seats were open indoors.

Expect a wait on Friday/Saturday (I’ve waited 25-30 minutes in line before during peak hours) Or just order on their website for pickup before you drive there. This bakery is THE place for pastries in Louisville. I would take a bullet for their chocolate croissant. Their quiche is the only quiche I’ve ever liked. I love their bread. I feel so aesthetic eating here, exactly like I walked into a French bakery. If I were independently wealthy I would eat here every day and not get tired of it. The people are always kind.

This is such a great, little spot. I've purchased their delicious, rustic loaves and croissants. They have so many tempting goodies. Keep up the great work!👏🏻

Best bakery in Louisville. Great bread and desserts. Don't arrive too late or most bread and sandwich options will be sold out. I arrived Friday at 140 pm (lunch finishes at 2) and the options were very limited. Still really enjoyed the items I was able to find.

Took my mom for a lovely breakfast. They've added a wonderful avocado toast to the menu and they always have wonderful drinks and pastry options. Definitely a must when you come to Louisville or visit Frankfort Avenue.

I really enjoy this quaint little bakery. Everything was delicious, the staff was super friendly, smelled exceptional, nice bathrooms, excellent teas and coffees, decent prices, and wheelchair accessible.

I only had a mocha, and didn’t try a delicious looking goodie, but the mocha was fantastic! Not too sweet, but the perfect balance of chocolate decadence and coffee frothed with milk😋. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was lovely.

If you're looking for an exceptional boulangerie, look no further. Beautiful and delicate pastries for those seeking both savory and sweet. Incredible Baguettes. Plenty of convenient take and bake options for larger parties. The quality and charm of this place is not to be missed. Make sure to get there early. Friendly staff.
