Good food and is not too expensive. I like how they've changed the way you order and receive your food. Now you order through a kiosk and pick up your food when your number is called. Eliminating a waitress and having to tip! However, that does eliminate a job for someone who probably needs it!

Went to eat here Saturday about 8pm, we had a party of 10 and were seated right away. They pulled tables together to allow us to sit as one party. I can't remember the guys name that waited on us, he was a black man, maybe n his 40s or so he was AMAZING! He done an excellent job. Food came out fast, and it was fresh. He was very attentive bringing refills. Very pleased with the whole dining experience.

Two days. Two meals. Perfection. Great burgers. They are small/thin but delicious. So if you're a big burger fan. Get a double. Fries are thin and tasty. Shakes. I mean it's in their name, are done exceptionally well. I had the Cotton Candy (not overly sugarly) and the PB Chocolate ones. Both are crave worthy. Clean place and staff is very quick. Easy to say I will be back.

I recently posted my review, but today I wanted edit it after looking at my bank statement. We came through the drive thru and ordered our meals. When we got to the window to give the info for my free shake they tried to get the barcode but I guess they couldn't. They never told us they couldn't or didn't know how only that they "fixed it". My order came to $8.46 but they charged me over $11. They had already ran the card before they even alerted me of the price difference. When I asked her why was I quoted one price she said they charged me for the shake and they fixed the price to give me my free shake, but they credited the money and it would reflect later. Yesterday I looked at my card and saw a pending transaction. Today I looked at my invoice and it shows that they lied. Not only did they charge me for my free shake, but they also gave me the shake in a filthy cup. The inside of the cup was disgusting. My order was wrong. I asked for my burger fully dressed with extra mayo and pickle. The burger I got was with no sauce the only vegetables on my sandwhich was pickles and a ton of onions. I will not be going back and I will make sure I tell all of my friends and family about this experience. I'm not calling in to complain for them to refund my couple of dollars, but I think people should know about my experience before someone gets sick! The whole meals ended up in the trash. After looking in that cup there was no possible way I was taking a chance eating that food. I didn't bring the food back because we live all the way across town and it was raining. This was an $11 learning experience. Beware of this filthy place if they serve drinks in dirty cups there's no telling what else they're doing.

We had not eaten at this location in a long while. They closed down four a while. Today, we decided to try them and I have to admit, at first, I wasn't happy to have to order at the kiosk. However, after I got started, it wasn't so bad. Our order came out fresh and hot; it was delicious. The atmosphere was quite peaceful. As I watched the staff working, it hit me, that they may be into something; having people order from kiosk. It was apparent, the employees there, were working cohesively, together; like a well oiled machine. An older gentleman came in, and wasn't happy about the kiosk. I offered to help him place his order. We got through it and he left laughing and happy. We will definitely be back.

For the newer generation, Steak 'n Shake has made life easier. From ordering from a kiosk to seating yourself, and then the food being dropped off to you still. I was taken aback at first as this was my first time in Steak 'N Shake in probably the better part of a decade. The wife and I had a good meal with the right amount of grease and topped off with a milkshake. Total for everything was $33. It's definitely worth a second chance for anyone who hasn't eaten here in a long while.

Pretty good. Hard working staff. Miss the days when you can actually order in person. Three of 4 ordering stations were down so I ordered from my phone. Bad idea, I finished my order well before several others came into the building and ordered on kiosk. They all received their orders before me. Ordering o. The phone does not allow you to unlock the silly coke dispenser because it doesn't provide for you a bar code to scan. Had to wait awhile to get someone to address my need because I was dining in. But, the workers took care of me. It was just an inconvienante convenience.

First time visiting and I must say I was very impressed. The Garlic burger 🍔 was delicious 😋 and the Birthday Cake Milkshake was very tasty. So many varieties of Milkshake to choose from that it's difficult to pick. Service was quick. Will definitely return.

food was extremely good,drive thru was fast 7mins from the time i placed order, only complaint is the amount they charge for a cheese cup and the portion size would have been nice had they not put 1/4 the amount they normally put.. i mean if ur going to charge me for cheese make it worth it!!

Ordered through their app and picked up via the drive-thru. My order was ready in about 10 minutes, so by the time I got there I only had to wait in the drive-thru for about 5 minutes while they took care of 4 cars in front of me. Everything was hot, tasty, and accurate, and packed up super nicely so the shake didn't make a mess which is all appreciated, thank you!

Food was not good. Even after ordering our good and waiting for it, it was all cold when they brought it out, was literally like it had been made and sat for and hour before we got it. Fries were cold and old, I'll never come back here again

Used to be great fast-food with decent service. Now it's just another souless no contact self service kiosk. The food was OK, although my burger did not sport the famous crispy edges that are the second best reason to go, after the super thin fries. The milkshake was the highlight of my visit, still served in an actual glass, and creamy and delicious as ever.

They give me the wrong food then I wait in the drive thru line only to be told to come inside. I think they did something to my food honestly how did the cook know which meal I was supposed to have there were a lot of cars in the drive thru when I ordered. So I pulled over in the parking lot across the street my food was cold and I found hair in one of the burgers. DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION... $13 WASTED

I give this a five star because Steak and Shake are an endangered species in Louisville, despite their atmosphere taking a huge nose dive since most of the experience is automated. I mean, I guess it's nice because the staff can focus solely on food, but it takes away from the charm and personality. Definitely go if you like Steak and Shake.

Will not be returning at night. The night shift was just awful. Was rushed to choose quickly through drive through by the associate and there was a long black hair in my burger when I got home. Night crew clearly needs some work.

This steak n shake was very clean, and had good fast friendly service. Very nostalgic atmosphere. My kids and I love the burgers and they have an amazing milkshake selection.

It's been a long time since I've been to a steak n shake. This location has kiosks to place your order and a beverage dispenser which I found to be a nice addition based on my old memories of past visits with salty burnt out servers. The food was everything I expected, cooked to order, hot and crispy. Well done guys. I'm glad that there are some s&s that evolved and survived.

We miss the way Steak 'n Shake use to be! Now you have very little personal human interaction there! Ordering is all done on a Kiosk. No longer can you get the seasoned french fries. The hot fudge shake is gone from the menu too! It felt odd, cold and impersonal there! Sad 😔 with these changes! We will not return. This was by Louisville Kentucky.

Do not use the mobile app for this business. A drive thru option was not offered on the app and when I arrived, there was a note on the door that said no shakes because the machines were down. Since I had ordered a shake on the app, I asked if I could get a burger in it's place or my money back. They said they didn't know anything at all about the app and that I would have to go back online and ask for my money back. When I did, there is no option for that on the app. I'm just out of a shake.

Didn't expect the kiosks but we ordered and got our food delivered. Smooth process. Nutella shake was bomb. Steak N Shake doesn't ever disappoint. The dining room started to fill up when we were leaving but it was nice and quiet at first (930p.m. on a Friday night).

I've been eating at this particular Steak 'n Shake for a while now, always drive through, and always decent. But recently they reopened the dining area so we gave that a shot for old time's sake. They must have changed ownership or management or something because EVERY employee was working so hard and with a smile. Enjoyed using the kiosk to order and our food was brought to us piping hot and fresh! Shortly after our shakes arrived. Those too, were delicious, served the old fashioned way in an ice cold glass. Best Steak 'n Shake we've had in a while! Will be back for sure! Great job outer loop team!

I was pleased with our experience at steak n shake. The food was delicious and hot as usual, and the price is the cheapest there is. Love steak n shake and this location is a good one. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good burger that doesn't want to spend a lot of money. My fiance and I ordered 2 double steakburgers with fries and drinks and the total was 13 dollars

The food is great. But the guy charged me for an additional item but didn't give it to us We didn't check until we were on the way home because we didn't want to hold up the drive through line, but if I turned around all the rest of the food would get cold because of the drive thru line, that never ends due to the closure of the dine in. So I'll take the time next time, all y'all can wait 😂

I love some steak n shake, had a double steak burger with bacon, onion rings and a delicious milk shake in the big ole steak n shake glass! Bigger spoon was only thing needed. I was so ready to eat and enjoy my shake before my burger, I didn't even ask!!!!

One hour, we were in the drive thru for one solid hour with only 4 cars in front of us. Unfortunately we were blocked in and couldn't leave. After the ridiculous wait, they not only have me the wrong drink twice, but our fries were cold and soggy. I was so excited because I haven't been to steak n shake in a few years. I'll never come back to this one

Called this place 24 times because they kept hanging up after the first ring. Never once picked up the phone. I ordered through Uber eats and just wanted to tell them not to make the food till they there and not reuse my food for my new order since my first one was cancelled by the driver. Will update this review when the food gets here but who am I kidding, this location doesn’t care about the customer it seems

I ordered from this location about an hour ago and my food should have gotten too me with no problem, right? Well that wasn’t the case. It seems that they gave someone els, who wasn’t my dasher, my order and they got free food out of it. I’ve been trying to contact them via phone but of course, no answer. So I hope they’re happy with their mistake because my child’s order was also apart of it.

Went through the drive thru. I repeated my order three times 3 double steakburgers w/cheese and fries ( on the $4 dollar menu) with 1 large coke. Was told the total, $19 and change. That was wrong. Got to window and told the young lady what I ordered, again. She gave me the same total. I had been in line for probably 30-40 minutes so I just sai6 fine, didn't want to argue. She then gives me 3 large cokes, told her I only ordered 1. She looks at the receipt and says it comes with the meal. I know it didn't, but once again, didn't want to argue. Get the cokes in a drink holder and one almost spills all over my car. Get home and they flimsy cup holder gives way to the large cokes amd 2 of the cokes spill out allover my hallway. Clean it up and i'm pretty upset about the whole thing, open the wrapper to my burger and no cheese on it. So, in a nutshell, I was overcharged for what I didn't order, and it was wrong. Maybe the intercom needs to be checked or the drive thru needs to be equipped with a monitor that shows your order. I have been coming to this location since the mid 90"s.

I was very happy to see the place open again! I love the new design of ordering at kiosk and getting number, you can take a seat...Ordered the Nutella Milkshake...received it very quickly and in a chilled soda fountain glass! My garlic burger was on point and my fries came right after. Quick...and easy! A much smoother process!

The food was warm only when we got it but the manager was very nice and made good on it. The service you pretty much wait on yourself so the only reason I voted it down was for our food sitting in the window for a good 10 minutes before they brought it to us which is why our food was warm and not hot I'm sure. The atmosphere was ok.

Insanely Slow getting food out and people literally standing around watching 1 person prepare food. Fries were cold by the time I got my food. SnS used to be a fav but service is lacking

Ordering at the kiosk was simple and fast, milk shakes came quickly followed by the food which was hot and fresh. Short staffed but the guys worked quickly and was communicating with each other. Even though drive thru was backed up it was quick and great service inside.

I love getting screwed out of my fries! I even upgraded to a med for extra .30 Can't waste my time to go back and get them when I'm on lunch break. Should I dump all of my order out on the counter before I leave every time just to make sure yall did your job right? I get in trouble if I don't give my customer all of their product they payed for!

I can't give you a bad enough of a review! I'm still angry 😠 at how lousy this place is! The food was garbage! It's probably good enough for your dog if you want to waste that much money! When asked about our order, the manager reacted as if we were irritating him,Wow! If I it were possible, I would give a -5stars!!!

Haven't eaten at a Steak 'N' Shake for a very long time, decided to give the Outer Loop location a try. Frisco melt was really good with the burger cooked perfectly, nice buttery toasted bread, fries crispy with just a hint of salt the way I like them, chili was also hot (melted the cheese I added). Take-out service was surprisingly fast. You have to go inside and order at a Kiosk and say if it is for dine-in or to go, then get your own fountain drinks. Really good and will try again. I hasten to note it was a lot better than the Clarksville, Indiana location I tried last time about 3 months ago.

No servers so had to order take out on the slow kiosk. Dining room was only open for take out orders only which wasn't really a huge deal to us. Food was normal and good. Can't conolsib too much!

General manager needs more help and knowledge of the operations of the store. At lunch time customers had to wait for cups, lids. The store personnel are not adequately trained on the operation of how the phone app works at all.

My kids and husband love the burgers and chicken strips here. Their also pretty fond of the cheese fries and shakes. I almost always get the kids grilled cheese meal. The sandwich is the same size as buying the sandwich alone and you get a little soda and kids fry. They take a little longer the “fast food” but it’s usually worth the wait.
