Most incompetent group of doctors and staff Iā€™ve ever dealt with. Donā€™t bother bringing up any concerns you have with your child. They will be shut down immediately. Took me 6 months to convince them to refer my child to speech therapy. Doctors insisted nothing was wrong with my childā€™s sinuses for 4 YEARS even though he could barely breathe through his nose. He ended up having surgery to correct that. Doctors will be offended if you bring up recommendations from your childā€™s therapists. ā€œIā€™m an actual doctor and theyā€™re just a therapistā€ ā€œyou need to stop worryingā€ WHAT A JOKE!! Dr. Damron was the only good thing about this office. No wonder he left. Canā€™t leave out the nurses and staff. Nearly every nurse/staff member Iā€™ve encounter has been so rude and easily irritated with my child. And whoever answers the phones DOES NOT LISTEN. Donā€™t bring your children here if you want a professional and caring experience.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I called this office and told them that my child was experiencing some anxiety and was complaining of nausea and stomach pain. When they called me back their exact words were that his issues were "beyond their realm of treatment. I told them that my child was begging for help and that I just wanted to make sure there was nothing physical going on. They said since he wasn't "sick" he would have to wait for 3 days for an appointment. 2 days later my child was admitted to the hospital. He was released from the hospital and his doctor there told me to call his pediatrician for a prescription for him. MPG told me that they couldn't prescribe it because the doctor had never heard of it. A medication that had been given to my child multiple times while at the hospital. I even asked the pharmacist if they could feel it and they told me it wouldn't be a problem. Thank God I decided I was done messing around with this office and took my children to the hospital. After weeks of going to the pediatrician at least once a week to figure out what was going on with my children, one trip to ETCH and one was admitted and the other diagnosed with CDiff. I'm looking for another pediatrician in a hurry before these doctors seriously harm my children. They don't listen to the kids, they don't listen to the parents and it's obvious that they don't care.

Forceful policies regarding shots and vaccines. We literally got all shots except for 1 and they said it's all required and they refused to care for our twins who are 4 month old. That's sad how a doctor's office declines health care for two littles babies. It's their way or the highway. The staff is friendly so I give 2 stars, but their upper management is controlling and ridiculous. The owner of this location does absolutely nothing and it's a shame. Parents should be able to have a voice and decision for their own children.

Would NOT recommend! Their office is dirty & outdated & they will "dismiss you as a patient" if you don't do literally EVERYTHING they "recommend". We will definitely be finding another dr (not that we were ever able to see anything other than a nurse practitioner!!!) even if we have to drive a little ways. I know what's best for MY child.

This is one of the most unprofessional healthcare establishment Iā€™ve ever spoken to. This establishment promised to email me paperwork to get records from my sons old pediatrician in VA so that my son who has several health conditions could get seen as soon as possible. Letā€™s say 2 1/2 weeks later I never received the email. I called and I was told that they no longer take my insurance and that they would have to talk to the office manager !! 48 hours later I still had not received a return phone call so I called and nobody knew what the status was. Completely unprofessional!!

The doctors at Maryville Pediatrics are wonderful. My children have gone to this practice since birth. The reason for a 2 star is I requested medical records for my older daughter for personal use we didnā€™t transfer out. My daughter ended up getting sick yesterday and I made an appointment and made sure we were good to be seen since my daughter signed the medical records release for personal use was told it would not be a problem. My mother in law took my older daughter to the doctor called when she got there and was informed that the appointment had been canceled that she is no longer a patient this is unacceptable I didnā€™t get a phone call prior to the appointment being canceled and still have a sick daughter. Like I said the doctors are wonderful. I just hope this doesnā€™t happen to anyone else.

This is not something I normally would say. We love most of the doctors at Maryville Pediatrics as well as the nurses. My sister (33) and myself (27) came there as children on up until we were 18+. So we of course felt more than comfortable bringing our children to them! My nephew who is 6 years old was seen by Heather Snow yesterday. She was very rude to my nephew who is in the 99th percentile for his height at 52 inches tall (about 4ā€™4ā€)and the 51st percentile for his weight at 113 lbs. He is super tall for his age and weighs more than your average 6 year old. Anyway, the first thing is my nephew is afraid of shots, like most children. So when she had him lay down (without telling him what she was doing), and had my sister hold down his legs, he automatically thought he was getting a shot and started kicking. Heather said ā€œYour mom might tolerate that, but I donā€™t.ā€ Then she started talking about how that he would have to go to a nutritionist because of his weight. She said he could have one serving of potato chips and couldnā€™t have potatoes and could only drink lowfat milk and water. And got rough with him by yanking on him when she was trying to get him to stand up straight to check his alignment for his back. When my sister was asked at the desk by the nice lady if it mattered which doctor he saw at his next appointment in 3 months, my sister said it didnā€™t. Then Miss Snow chimed in with an attitude and rude remark that ā€œYES he will be having ME.ā€ She also told my sister that if he gained anymore weight in 3 months that he WOULD be seeing a nutritionist after my sister asked if she could try to help him first. This woman made a 6 year old boy cry who doesnā€™t understand why he is being treated differently than any other child. Now heā€™s asking my sister if he can have certain foods and is worried about it. This is a child who is very active and barely ever eats any sweets. Like his dad, he is naturally tall and bigger. Needless to say, my mother went back into the doctorā€™s office and helped change the doctor for his next appointment. My sister, my nephew, and my mom all left very upset. My nephew, my 3 nieces, my daughter, nor the baby I have on the way will see this woman again. Maryville Pediatrics should be ashamed to have this lady work at their establishment.

Doctor Hoover was very nice, my daughter loved seeing her. Thatā€™s the first time sheā€™s seen a doctor where she wasnā€™t weary of their presence. Sheā€™s very knowledgeable and good at explaining all things baby. Everyone at this pediatric group is always very nice. If youā€™re looking for a great place to take your kids, this is the place.

I absolutely love Dr. Bean!! He has been my son's doctor since he was about 2 years old (now 7) and he has never made us feel any kind of way about his size since he is big and solid for his age (both weight and height). When I was still breastfeeding, he encouraged me to continue as long as we both would like, unlike his previous doctor who wanted me to decrease how much I nursed when his teeth started coming in. He has always answered any concerns I've had in a way that is both knowledgeable and helpful. He is always my first choice when we need to pay a visit.

Our 3 children were patients here until we moved to North Carolina at the end of 2022. We always loved MP and all the doctors there. It wasnā€™t until we had to find a new pediatrician that we truly realized how much we missed MP! More specifically, Dr. Wight is truly one of a kind. She trusts you as a parent (which weā€™re finding to be rare these days) and will take your intuition seriously. Sheā€™s kind, patient and incredibly intelligent. I canā€™t recommend this practice enough!!

I simply do not understand how people can be so nasty! Especially in the health care profession! Do employees think they don't have to be responsible for their own selves? Can't be bothered to Actually put Trash IN the trash can. Wouldn't think of cleaning up after their patient pees in the floor! Leave food and crumbs and garbage wherever because someone else is sure to clean it up! But have mercy if there are fingerprints on the glass. Leave nasty feminine personal yuck exposed in bathroom cause why not!! There is SOOOO MUCH more but I just can't. It's ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS that grown adults think they don't have to be courteous to other professions.SMH

Setup a appointment for my one year old who was feeling ill. They made him wait over a hour to be seen even when they set the appointment! Not happy with the service.

We weee hesitant to bring our newborn and preteen here at first due to the horrendous reviews. This just proves that some people can never be pleased because we LOVE this group.Iā€™m a pediatric nurse and know a lot about medicine and children so I have an advantage of knowing what exactly to look for in medical field regarding my children. And they have never given me a reason to worry. Everyone is sweet and we saw a few docs and NPs and loved them all but Dr. Heather Wight is a godsend to this field. She is beyond wonderful and we trust her, and trust is a lot for me. And itā€™s hard to come by. Thank you, Dr. Wight!

šŸ˜  It will take you 2 hours to be brought back to be seen, then you have to wait another half hour to see a doctor, and I guess they don't clean between patients. For being an urgent care, they really take their time but I guess not when it comes to cleaning.
