Baxter Avenue theater has some of the most rude employees i have ever dealt with. They let drunks roam around inside and outside to where you're afraid to leave your Car! Inside the theater they do absolutely nothing to anyone that is drunk and happens to say something insulting or sexist to customers and are loud in the theater while you're trying to watch a movie! The homeless people are aggressive at night so be careful when seeing a late movie, if you want to deal with all of the problems. The employees are not helpful or attentive to customer needs. Bathrooms were dirty! Won't go back. Dangerous area with no protection!!

Awesome movie theater there. The popcorn tastes great and the prices were decent.

Comedy caravan is a great venue for comedy. It is the perfect size for a crowd not being to big or small. Food and drinks served. Also has a Canes and a ski line chili in parking lot

Not too bad....this place might be shaping up. With new restaurants and stores and some of the same staples, like Baxter Ave Theaters, I am starting to think this might be a better place to go to avoid crowds of unwanteds.

The vap shop is an insult to the jewelry store that had been there for years. Value market never has their Mall side door available to use. The family Dollar is probably one of the best in the area though because it's located inside the mall. The movie theater and Ramen House are great! Nearly New is a hidden gem! I don't use the gym, but I do like the old school gym in the basement. Place has so much potential all around.

When I was a teenager we hung out at the Mid-City Mall. It has changed a great deal since then. But the library is there, a general Dollar is there, they have a nearly new shop and a beauty salon, theaters, and at least three restaurants. The mall was rather empty while we were there, but there's plenty to do still.

I CONTINUE, TO COME TO USE THE LIBRARY, AND OTHER STORES, I TALK TO PEOPLE, LIVE MY LIFE AND GET ON THE BUS AN GO HOME, OR OTHER PLACES, I ENJOY, I WON'T BE BULLIED, FOR JUST BEING SOME WERE, BECAUSE SOMEONE, DOESN'T LIKE IT, HARASSMENT, STALKING, WHAT NEXT, (ENTRAPMENT,) THAT IS CALLED DISCRIMINATION, MY PARENTS TAUGHT ME PEOPLE WERE PEOPLE. AND I CHOSE MY FRIENDS, MALES OR FEMALES , (NOT YOU) WHITE OR BLACK, PINK , YELLOW OR GREEN , REMINDS ME OF A THE BOOK ( NASTY PEOPLE, ) A PERSON WHO MUST CONTROL, AT ALL COST,,, AND NEVER STOPS, EXCEPT OR UNTIL OTHERS REALIZE WHAT IS HAPPENING, AND THAT IT IS ABOUT HIM NOT THEM! I WANT FRIENDS, NOT PRISONERS, I HAVE AN Interesting FAN, YOU CAN TAP OR IGNORE IT, I ALREADY PRAY EVERYDAY, BECAUSE OF THESE PEOPLE, WELCOME! HOME!

I hope this mall never closes. Valu Market, the theater and the gym are all very convenient. Family Dollar is often closed when it's supposed to be open. That's the only real knock against the place. Well, and you might see a homeless person changing their clothes on the hallway, but I'm not gonna complain about that. I've never been to the comedy club, but the Back Door bar makes good drinks.

Other than Ramen House not being open at lunch time, this place is perfect. It's old but clean and well-maintained. Good dining and entertainment options.

I love the small town atmosphere. Value Market has the nicest staff regarding markets! Thank you for treating me like family. :) They also have a library inside, a bar attached on the side of the building and a movie theatre as well

Mid City Mall has always had a place in my heart since I first moved to Louisville in late 2000. Everything was different then that it remains a interesting spot that I find myself drawn to periodically. These days. It mostly seems to be for visits to the library or to see a movie.

I was there for the Nearly New Thrift shop but also stopped at the excellent supermarket there as well as Dollar General. Very conveniently located for me, will be a regular stop!

Love the library and market. Take a trip back in time when things were more simple. Send like that's what I do everytime I step in this mall door

The Mid-City Mall is one of the most underrated people places in the entire city. This location is waiting to erupt and I'm talking Vesuvius style. Modernize this space.

We have really enjoyed going to the Baxter Theater. They have great concessions (a bar if you're interested), really comfy reclining chairs, first run movies and decent prices.

See a movie, hit a thrift shop, grab some food, get a pedicure, see the dr, check out a book, last minute groceries, I mean it literally has ALL the things 😀 good people good vibes.

Great library and stores. They also offer a variety of dine in experience with great restaurant or fast food or take home groceries with a family dollar that has all the home essentials at great prices plus a variety of shops I haven't experienced yet

The Ramen shop is good and this place has my go-to cinema. Can always make a quick stop at the drugstore or grocery to get odds and ends. I've never had trouble parking or felt unsafe there.

If you're up on Bardstown Road near the mid city mall please stop in value market. Value market is considered to be one of the mom-and-pop grocery stores that are left. John the manager along with all of the other co-managers are always very polite and a pleasure to talk to. When you walk in they call you by name it's hard to get that nowadays. If you do get a chance to go into value market make sure you stop in there cleaning all and look for a product called McKayla's incense it is out of this world smells wonderful. It's my understanding that it is double-dipped that's why it smells so good and it's very reasonably priced.

Still the best place to see the movies you like and you don't have to stand in line for your tickets and snacks reserved your stuff on line seats are very comfortable best in town still.

  • 3/5 James W. 2 years ago on Google
No real complaints but it sadly just isn’t much of a mall anymore. Though the few stores still there are well run and it is attached to one of the best theaters in the city.

Went in the grocery store call me catfish sandwich I really didn't like it also the work is there clothes look dirty like they rolling in the mud but the place looks good but they need to have their employees wear some clean clothes I think twice before I shop there again PS go see for yourself

Met friends for coffee at the Heine Brothers Coffee located there. Large lot, lots of parking for all the businesses. Traffic light at intersect of busy street, keeps traffic flow moving & turning into mall lot safer. Located in a nice business area of the Highlands.

I do not care for Mid City Mall. I usually never go but I had to pick up something from Family Dollar for my son's school project. Inside of the store appeared disheveled although store employees were stocking shelves. Good Deals. No Lines. Cashiers friendly. Didn't like: No Carts available

Nearly New shop is there, which is one of the best consignment shops in Louisville and has sometimes some very very great prices on designer clothing as well as other, just a huge collection of clothing and furniture and whatever. Even a pretty good selection of plus size clothing. I've gotten all of my favorite coats from there.

I feel like the word "mall" is a bit of a stretch for this place. There's a pretty good grocery store, and a movie theater. Downstairs there's a large second hand shop.

It's a great mall to go to the movies. There are also a lot of food options too with all of the restaurants nearby. There aren't very many retail venues though.

  • 5/5 Micaela 1 year ago on Google
We go to this cinema for years. Is clean, plenty of spaces to buy the tickets at the counter or on the machines. They even serve alcohol if you feel like you need a glass of wine to enjoy the movie. Clean. Comfortable chairs. We live really far away from it but we prefer it. My only complaint is that is way too cold inside. My husband is a cold nature type of guy and he's getting cold. They need to raise a bit the temperature.

I like stopping in at the Library and Valu Market Oh and you cant forget The Ramen House!!! Another hidden gem location that has business spaces available and in the middle of the highlands.

Very rude female behind counter today,bc I asked 4 key to rr. kept spewing lines about covid but she wasn't wearing a mask and there was not paper towels in br and it was not clean. Need better attitudes representing company, also get your soda machine working since she felt the need to inform everyone in hearing distance. Since she feels this job is beneath her why doesn't she go elsewhere.

I wish I would've known about the watch shop being closed forever... Sad moment for me,,, been going there since my teens and I'm in my 40's... I wish them the best though... Does anyone have suggestions on where I can go for watch repairs???

It's just kinda sad now. But at one time it was cool. We go now because of memories and to stay loyal. And cause it's close.... Mostly cause it's close..... Actually, mostly the only reason.

  • 3/5 AJ R. 1 year ago on Google
So not as rememberable as it was. I was sad to see that the jewelry store that had been there since I was a child, I have no doubt that it was due to covid.

It's an odd mix of businesses, but fun way to spend time. Don't expect any typical indoor mall type shops. The thrift store in the basement is great, but closes early. Grocery store is convenient. Ramen house is amazing and a favorite of mine. There's a library and offices inside. I've never seen the parking lot full, even during the holidays.

👍👍 Beef O'Brady's is great. Mark has turned this place into a great place to dine anytime of the day. Charlie Davey is one of the hardest working, pleasant, and knowledgeable. She is genuinely concerned about the experience the customer has.
