I don't even know where to begin... This was the WORST experience I have EVER had. My family and I decided to go out of town at the last minute and this particular hotel was one of the only ones who had vacancies during this Holiday season. Let's just say we learned WHY they had vaccines. This place was filthy from the moment we walked in. Someone had thrown up on the pavement leading up to the lobby & none of their staff thought to clean it up, I guess they figured the rain would eventually wash it away. When we entered the elevator, it had muddy foot prints & lit cigarettes on the floor. The elevator is on its LAST leg & several times it got jammed and we thought we'd be stuck. We were responsible for dumping our own trash, as well as carrying our used towels to the front desk & requesting more. There is only one housekeeper for this entire rat trap. All of the furniture is Dusty & the vents are covered in dirt. You can tell they haven't been cleaned since the hotel was built. The breakfast was trash. And they have lots of suspect traffic coming in & out at all hours of the day & night. This hotel is NOT SAFE and I wouldn't recommend a gang of ghetto alley cats to stay here. This building needs to be condemned and burned to ashes because it's the WORST horrifying experience I've ever had. This place isn't even fit to be a shelter in the slums. Management is poor & unprofessional. The owner has NO class, character, or integrity. Get as far away from this place as you can. You won't get any rest on their mattresses anyway, it's like laying on a dried up maxi pad.

This is your typical hotel. I had read on some of the previous reviews that they had bed bugs so the first thing I did was check my room and I didn't see any signs of bed bugs. The mattresses looked fairly new and they were in bed bug protectors. The sheets and all the bedding was very clean. The bed itself was actually very comfortable I slept very well in it. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized how quiet the room was usually hotel rooms you can hear everything going on around you, I couldn't even hear the people in the room next to me. My complaints on the room were the TV didn't work in my room but I was okay with it because I brought my laptop. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the shower curtain needed to be replaced but other than these things it was a decent room. It was located right next to the expressway and several restaurants and stores. The lady that helped me during the day was very nice I didn't happened to get her name but she was working on Saturday afternoon. The pool was very nice the day I happen to get in at the water was cold cuz it had rained a few days before that.

Our stay was not enjoyable at all. there was a huge hole in our ceiling, cigarette burns in the bedding, dirt and trash in the corners and around the bed. the kid checking us in was not very familiar with the check in system. the vent was very dirt in the bathroom. when we walked in to the stairwell to go up to our room there was s couple of guys smoking in there. this hotel is definitely more like a motel and very outdated. the appearance was very I inviting. if we wouldn’t have lost the money. we cancelled and went else where.

A pleasant stay at Baymont! The affordable price pleasantly surprised me with the high level of cleanliness both in the hotel and the room. The staff was exceptionally kind and always ready to assist, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside was the initial disappointment of a green pool upon arrival. However, I appreciate that they took prompt action to clean it before my departure. It's just a shame I missed out on swimming. On a positive note, the continental breakfast was delightful, offering a good selection of options. Overall, I would gladly return for another stay here.

Notable cons... tiny rooms, dirty floors and stained cement, lots of sketchy people, dirty pool, only the top floor has indoor hallways the 1st and 2nd floors are outside hallways, very few employees (desk clerks barely speak English and I heard 1 guest complaining when they went up to check into their room it had not been cleaned since the last guest), no extra pillows, and not recently updated since probably 10 years ago. Notable pros... Quiet (we didn't hear a sound while we were in our room), typical hotel breakfast (with short hours), ok beds and pillows, some indoor some outdoor halls (can be a pro if you want to smoke I guess) and yeah that's it. So more cons than pros. Definitely doesn't feel like a 3-star hotel. Would stay there for the cheaper price but if you have a budget for even $20 extra per night, go somewhere else.

The hotel itself is what I expected for the price; basic but good enough. My rating is directly due to the morning desk staff on 18 November at checkout. He was rude and lazy. A simple request for a printed copy of my receipt was denied because he was having his breakfast. A receipt of a transaction is a basic requirement for a transaction. I'm planning my return trip now and will not be using this location due to a single individual who has forgotten basic customer service. I would be interested in hearing from the management. In my opinion, this person is hurting the business and the business should not allow this person to represent their business.

My compliments to both the photographer and the photo shop graphic designer. The facility has aged many-fold years since the bulk of the photos were taken. The pool was green, the lobby had only fans to keep it cool. The second floor balcony that led to the room entrances was unevenly tilted away from the building as if on its way to collapsing. There was a terribly foul odor all around the second floor. We checked into Room 201. There were rusty bits in the bathroom, the tub didn't have a stopper, the hair dryer mount was there but the dryer seemed to have been ripped from the wall. The toilet seat was missing chunks on where you would sit. Both the sink and tub leaked. Shower head wasn't attached to the wall. We couldn't tell of the bathroom had some dirt or if it was black mold on the walls and ceiling. Bedroom wasnt as bad but there were lots of cobwebs around the room. We peaked in the laundry room out of curiosity but it was empty. The guy at the front desk did his best to help is and ended up issuing a refund since they had no more rooms available. The guy at the front desk did his best to help us and we thoroughly appreciate that.

Worst motel I've stayed at in 20 years. Kids rain up and down the hallways all night. We booked a king bed but they over sold and downgraded us to two full beds. Just as I finally fell asleep a man and woman started screaming at each other. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep and now have a work conference. When I went to turn in the motel key, no one was at the front desk. 0 stars, stay away.

The staff were great, the breakfast was ordinary. The hookers and shouting in the parking lot was less than desirable with toddlers sleeping, let alone if I were traveling by myself. It's a good location, close to a lot of attractions. The place just needs cleaned and the water pressure fixed, the shower trickled out of the shower head.

Nice room, layout of hotel allows 1 entrance with small elevator. This causes a lot further walk with luggage and some discomfort. Also only one ice. Machine and it is at the lobby. Breakfast however was outstanding! Self serve at the lobby had a good selection. Set up right, no work and plentiful.

Rooms were clean. Bed comfortable. Shower backed up. Breakfast? Not a breakfast, unless you like a lot of starch. Nothing else! Close to places to eat. Stay was one nite. Out of season for the pool.

My fiance and I stayed for a week, overall it was a pretty nice experience. The hotel staff were all super friendly. Nicky, the front desk lady was very polite and always had a smile on her face. Breakfast was a decent selection and was fresh. Location was quiet. It's in a perfect area close to restaurants, gas stations, and stores. (Some within waking distance). There were a few sketchy people around, but it wasn't so bad that I felt uncomfortable. Our room was clean and comfortable. Room service respected our DND and provided us with all our needs. Would absolutely book a room here in the future. It's inexpensive and well worth the price.

Room smelled like it was previously a smokers room and even had burn marks on sink counter and the throw at the end of the bed. I had to clean the toilet before I could use it ats it looked unclean. Used the hand towel that looked dirty itself since it was yellow compared to the other next to it that had either a burn mark or dirt on it. Price went up $45 from Thursday to Friday night that I had to stay. At best should have been a $60 room not $175.

Never again. First random people walking around in area doors on outside. Reserved online then upon check in told a $100 deposit which once confronted took it down to $40. The area and people lurking around on the second floor I didn't feel safe. The room covered in dust, dog hair, vents caked with dirt. Smelled like lost dreams and hopes. Hole in the wall. When I mentioned all this to front desk. Like they didn't care. Got cleaning spray to clean room why girl stood at my door on phone. Quite that night but I did not step out of my room that night to scared to. Won't be back.

I always thought getting a great hotel room meant paying big bucks. That changed when I found HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm Now, I get rooms like this without emptying my wallet, and it feels awesome. Not a good stay for us. Hotel is average and the worst thing was the breakfast. We had Morning breakfast, which was the worst of my life. Me and my wife has real bad food poisoning that I had to take my wife to hospital. Coffee !!! oh my god. They just serving hot water in the name of coffee. 0 Star

They have bedbugs. I’m fighting to get my money back. This is ridiculous, Nikki at the front desk confirmed that it was a bed bug. We were there 2 night and the morning of checkout right on the blanket in front of me face was a bedbug. I killed it to confirm as they smell horrible. They are avoiding giving me my money back. There was 5 gunshots in the middle of the night opened the curtain and a truck was speeding off.

I liked it enough that I paid for an extra day. My room needed a little work, but the pool, breakfast, and location made up for it. As a plus, there are good restaurants nearby.

  • 1/5 Lisa H. 8 months ago on Google
The beds have old and saggy mattresses with no support. The city had shut the pool down and management did not know when it could be opened again. Water pressure was low for the shower. Breakfast was not worth eating so we went to eat elsewhere! The location was good for what we had planned but the stay was shortened to one night. We found another hotel through the rewards program and they let us move in immediately without charging the early check-in fee!

If I could have left a no star review I would have. I made a reservation for 2 rooms 2 days in advance. Never received a confirmation for them until the day that we were suppose to check in. After getting to the first of 2 rooms it did not look or smell very clean. I believe the reason for the smell was the molded pillows in the room. That we didn’t find till later that night .We put all of our things into the first room because our other room was on a different floor and it seemed quicker because the kids wanted to eat and play in the pool. So we ate and then dressed for the pool. The kids played for around 30 minutes or so and then we spent the rest of the night in the E.R. because of the negligence of the hotel. My son was playing in the pool and got his toe cut very badly because there was apparently a piece of broken tile in the pool. Told the staff and all they could say was that they would put everyone out of the pool. No apology no discount no nothing. When we came back from the E.R. They still had not cleaned the blood up from outside our door. Overall worst experience I have ever had at a hotel.

This hotel is cheap for a reason, I guess. The rooms were relatively clean, but you can tell they don't pay attention to the details. A lot of deferred maintenance. Peeling paint, stained cracked caulk, dirty carpets and only one ice machine. You can't call the front desk so pray you don't have an emergency. And the elevator was a bit scary because it would stop on the 1st floor and the door wouldn't open. You'd have to finally hit the open door button. My friend's tub had a slow drain so she was standing in ankle deep water while showering. Then the coffee machine was broken and we got no coffee with breakfast. Breakfast had very few selections too but at least it was hot. Would not stay there again.

Horrible experience, The price is not cheap. the room was smelling of animal pee, although they say they are not pet friendly I saw pet animals coming in and out of the rooms. when we checked in the ac was not working, when we called the front desk they said that they cannot guarantee that the other room's ac will be working either. the wash basin was clogged, and lights in the rooms were not working. we were traveling as a family, and please do not go here. They were fairly priced but the overall experience was not worth even 1 star. This was my first time with Wyndham Properties, but because of the experience, I will never visit any of their properties in the future.

People very nice, great service, helpful. Rooms are trash. It's a place to sleep. Our ceiling was caving in over the shower. Can't believe the room as rented out like that. Didn't look very clean. Wouldn't stay here.

Hotel needs a major cleaning. Hallway carpet was stained from spills and had lots of trash. Appeared it wasn't vacuumed for awhile. Both nights there were loud poolside parties till 1:30-2:00AM. I recommend a pass.

BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Usually when I get into a room I immediately search the sheets and mattress for bugs. I checked in around 10:30 pm, since I was exhausted I just hopped in bed and fell asleep. I woke up around 2:30 am to an itchy sensation coming from my back, at first I didn’t think anything of it until it started happening again. I looked down on the sheets and saw three HUGE BED BUGS crawling towards me. I’ve never jumped up so fast in my life. Please for your safety find another hotel. If I could rate zero stars I would. I ended up leaving the hotel even tho they tried offering me another room. If one room has bugs that bad most likely other rooms do too. BE SAFE AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

In my opinion, all bathtub showers should have rubber rugs. While showering I slipped my and almost hit my head against the outside border, luckily I was agile enough to hold myself enough to fall on the floor instead, thankfully unharmed. With that being said, I doubt that someone more aged would have the same fortune, therefore a serious health hazard. For the rest, not much to be said, not exactly cheap, but still one of the cheapest in the city, and has all necessary amenities, so that was enough for me.

If zero stars were an option, I’d leave zero stars. Walking in, we were knocked over by the marijuana odor. We get to our room, and about cried. It was dirty. There was mold on the curtains. Hair on the sheets. A dirty qtip on the fridge. We ran out as fast as we could.

Very good overall! We asked for a nice/newer room and got one on the 3rd floor(elevator). Everything worked fine in the room. Breakfast was simple but good. Staff was nice. Only thing is the pool was not available to use (in July).

This was by far the worst place we have ever stayed. We arrived late around 11pm and our room was already occupied. The next room we were given was filthy. The tub even had a hole in it which the front desk found no problem with. Fire alarm was missing and the sheets were torn and had cigarette burns on covers even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Pool was cloudy and didn't look well treated. Alot of guests had pets. We saw several large dogs and the room next to ours had a cat.

Room was dirty! Have ants! Paint drops and paint chips everywhere on hard wood floor. Did not have a microwave and fridge and the room that did didn’t have A/C. Already made reservations online! Only thing was the front desk guy that evening was nice.

This hotel was underwhelming and a bit disappointing. The parking lot was cramped with lots of trash on the ground. The lobby was outdated though check in was reasonably quick. The halls had trash on the ground. The room was mostly clean though some staining was on the sheets. I didn't get to experience the breakfast since it was Saturday and it had a later start time. Overall, you could do worse but you could certainly do better.

Breakfast goes til 9. At 10 after 8, they have no bagels left, only white toast, no biscuits or sausage, only gravy. I ask the front desk boy if he plans to add more of any of the things and he says no they don’t have no more. Hmm. The breakfast area was dirty and unkept. During my few minutes down there, I witnessed 2 groups of people walk towards the dining area only to turn around and leave again. This was after an evening in our room which had no stop for the bath tub. Although would have been sketchy to take an actual bath because the paint was peeling in the bathtub in multiple places. I like hot showers and the hottest setting was just above warm, furthering my disappointment. The TV scanned for channels twice with not a single channel available to watch. The phone was unplugged and didn’t have service. The AC unit was missing the cover to hide the digital display and that was certainly annoying as it lit up the entire room in a blue glow throughout the night. Traffic pretty consistently heard with its close proximity to the interstate, knew that going in though. Overall, NOT AN $80 hotel when it’s all said and done. More like $50-$60 WITH taxes and fees. I saw decent scores on Priceline and Expedia so I went for it but at this price point it’s a disappointing trip.

The motels in this area are old and the area is noisy. That said, this was one of the better places I’ve stayed at. Decent waffle breakfast, 24hr coffee machine, parking close to the room, clean room, mid size fridge, comfy bed and pillows, value priced. I’m returning to this one after several low end experiences even at the more expensive stays. I didn’t take off a star for any specific reason other than 4 stars is the most any motel in this class should be allowed. So I give it the highest possible expectation.

Worst hotel stay in the world! I am extremely frustrated about my stay at the hotel. The trim was falling off the wall. There was no phone in the room to call guest services. The soap that was provided in the room was from a different hotel, it was labeled as knights, (A Completly different hotel). There were only 2 towels in the room when we were a party of 4. Asked for more towels and was advised we had to return the other 2 before we could get more. Do you know how inconvenient it is to have to wait for one shower to complete and have to immediately dress and go to guest services to get a new towel. When we were in the pool there were several drunk individuals that looked like transients that told us they live in the hotel. My 6 yr old neice was trying to swim and they were in the pool approaching her and talking about how pretty she was. When we were at breakfast the receptionist and another lady who appeared to not work there kept leaving to go outside to smoke. The toaster didn't work. The breakfast was the bare minimum, the picture for the hotel breakfast shows a pictire of fruit and muffins and there was none at all. There were several times there wasn't a receptionist. There were no pool towels. Last, and the most disturbing of them all, when returning from the pool the room key would not work. I went down to guest services to get a new key. The receptionist asked me what room I wanted a key for and I told him my room number, and I received a key to the room. At no point did he ask my name or for an ID. When I got back up to the room the rest of my family were in the room. When I inquired about how they got in the room, I was told that an employee let them into the room. Again without asking for name or ID. I guess your hotel has no concern for privacy or possible theft0 of all our belongings. We have been to several Baymonts and have never come across one so bad as this one. We left a day early and had to pay for a room elsewhere because we did not feel safe. I booked by expedia, HUGE mistake, because it is none refundable, contaked the wyndham customer service and they said to contact expedia. Contacted expedia and they told me to contact wyndham. NEVER stay here...it would be a HUGE mistake!

Gross room not very clean. No way is this a three star hotel. Bad cigarette smell. Mold in bathroom. Tub stained and needed to be cault. Linens stained and smelly. The website made this place look much nicer. Our room was not even close very disappointed.

This place is terrible. Two good things for the shower was hot and the mattress was comfortable. Although a pool was advertised, it was shut down. We noticed parents very upset that they had no entertainment for the children. We came back from a day of exploring, only to find that our rooms were not cleaned. We were told by the front desk that you have to request a cleaning you’ve got to be kidding me! Yesterday our room was cleaned toda. They are telling me they don’t clean. You have to beg for towels and you get the minimum. Very disappointing at the manager at the front desk was trying to make it sound like it was normal not to have a room cleaned or Telus delivered. Never again!

I reserved a Mobility/Handicapped room. The bath/shower was supposed to have a shower wand and a handicapped bench/ seat in the tub. Our room had neither. I brought this to the attention of the Front Desk, and nothing was done, after being told they would try to locate a shower chair. And, we had planned on spending time at the pool, especially with 90 degree days, the pool was closed and needed cleaning. When I brought up the issues with the pool, there was an apparent language barrier with the female working the Front Desk at that time on Saturday. We are here for 3 nights, and there won't be any pool time, and I don't think there will be a resolution to the handicapped shower issues. The room and bed is ok, but after first night, (Friday), our trash wasn't emptied, and towels weren't exchanged. Very disappointed in this stay. Was expecting much better from this chain of hotel as a previous customer in a different city. Also, the entrance door to the Lobby is very hard to open while using a Mobility walker. There is no automatic door button. ADA customers, think twice before staying here!!! My complaint to Wyndham Corporate was answered with the fact it was this property management issues to solve, not corporate. I guess my future stays at any Wyndham brand hotel won't happen anymore.
