👍👍 I love blackacre! I’ve came here many times over the past few years. Lots of cute animals. The trails are also longer than you would expect. Lots to do here with friends family & kids. No dogs allowed sadly. People often mention animals, trails, beautiful, great, horses,

//GOOD: — beautiful property — easy opportunity for kiddos to get close and personal to a few animals — several hiking trails to choose from //CAUTIONS: — several trails pass through low, wet areas; the most popular “Waterfall Trail,” is unfortunately very wet and muddy when the “falls” are at their best (after rain) — trail markings are not consistent //NOTES: — free admission; drop box on site for donations

Beautiful wedding venue. Two delightful on-site coordinators made our catering experience seamless. The Venue is beautiful. The Historic home and multiple buildings offer perfect photo ops. Horses grazing in the fields add that Kentucky flaire. Very enchanting.

Go here for a beautiful day in nature just off the beaten path!! It’s so interesting and lots of fun things to explore. We enjoyed an evening of music and food. Kids were running around everywhere feeding animals and having a blast. Love this place for its authenticity and historical significance.

The community garden is absolutely huge and amazing to see. There is also great hiking trails that are great for friends and family, and not too hard to navigate. The animals are also a fun experience for young ones. There is also a great sampling of wildlife you might not expect to find in such a easy to access nature reserve.

They have a beautiful community garden where you can rent a plot, there’s always someone there attending their vegetables and flowers and herbs. There’s also several nature trails that wind through the woods. I appreciate that the trails are kept up and very well marked. I did have to cross a wobbly log bridge at one point on the Waterfall trail, but other than that all Creek crossings had updated bridges. It’s a great place for the whole family or just for some solitude.

Visitor's beware service or ESA dogs or pets are not allowed, so if you need your fur companion you are not welcomed!!! I was turned away rudely saying he does not make the rules and that what ever paper work I have does not matter! I had already paid my husband's and mine entry fee for my son's school field trip that we will not be enjoying with him due to this inconvenience! I wouldn't support a place like this if they do not support the disability act!

Did a quick stop while driving around. Very interesting and historical place. We actually met the Executive Director, wish I could remember his name. He was very cordial and willing to talk about the history of this place. On our next visit, will have to definitely take a tour!

I've been here a few times and have loved it each time. This is a perfect thing to do for you & your kiddos! Be sure to bring carrots & apples to feed the animals; there are horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, cows, & more! I've met one of the owners and he was so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting!

We got married at Blackacre and everything was perfect!! We used the Tyler House for getting ready, it’s such a beautiful historic home and was honestly one of the selling points for me. We were given the ability to get married at any location of our choosing which was wonderful, and we chose in front of the big tree by the horses. Highly recommend this spot! The horses almost stole the show. We also used the barn and a tent (which we rented from another company) for reception. Our guests raved about the beautiful grounds and loved visiting with the horses and goats! Recommend bring apples for them as all of our guests had fun feeding them. I want to give a big shout out to Susan and Dennis. They were both so helpful and made sure we were taken care of. And an even bigger shout out to Amy James. She’s the venue coordinator who we also used to coordinate the wedding. She was so wonderful and helpful every step of the way. I truly believe our day was perfect because of her help! Thank you to everyone at Blackacre for maintaining such a beautiful place. We can’t wait to visit again and relive our day plus explore some of the trails and visit with the animals!

Blackacres has everything! Great hiking trails, beautiful grounds, nice picnic area, friendly staff and the sweetest farm animals EVER! I spend at least one day a week here. Two or three, if I'm lucky😊 I'm sure you'll love it too!

I went to Blackacre on Saturday. They have some neat hiking trails, and animals out that you can pet. There was a children's birthday party where they let them feed the animals and the looked like they were having the time of their lives. However, they had their horses tied up to the fence so people could pet them, but didn't provide them with any water. It was really hot that day and it seemed a little cruel to me to not let them have anything to drink. Also they were covered in flies. There are wipes for horses that have fly repellent that could have been used to prevent at least some of this. At the very least they could have rotated some of them out so they could run around and not be tied up all day.

Very cool nature preserve and farmstead. We stopped to stretch our legs while passing through Louisville. Our only suggestion is trail markers.

First time visiting Blackacre today, for the Edible plant hike. A chilly day but very interesting and informative! Guide Lee Grace was awesome and very knowledgeable! He made it an enjoyable time despite the weather conditions. Would definitely love to come back for more hikes like this if offered in the future!!

They advertised Valentine's Dinner. Called it "Valentine's Dinner." Charged $200/2 ppl in advance for $60 of food from Martini's. Didn't say on the ad that it was on Feb 10. Sent an email confirmation that didn't say it was on Feb 10. Sent a text reminder that didn't say it was on Feb 10. Sent a 'thank you' text on Feb 11 that said, "Thank you for coming to this year’s Valentine’s Day" even though we weren't there, because, like a normal person, I expected to go to Valentine's Dinner on Valentine's day. It was only then that I realized they had Valentine's dinner on Feb 10. Hopefully I can go to their Christmas Eve dinner the week after Thanksgiving, and their 4th of July fireworks in March. #NeverAgain
