We stayed here 2 nights so we could take the kids to Kentucky Kingdom. Like others have said, not a destination campground, but it worked perfect for us. Our 4 kids enjoyed the playground, hookups worked perfect, showers were spotless, and camp was (mostly) quiet. The train runs a bunch it seems, but we didn't hear it over our AC running. We had plenty of space in our 31ft Class A, but had a tree next to us so couldn't put the awning out, which didn't really bother us. Staff was polite and helpful. Would recommend!

This is a unique camping environment. I know there were many comments about the negatives of this campground. I will say before you stay please be aware this is an urban setting. There is road noise, airplanes and yes a train. That being said....here are the many positives. This campground is managed by a great, friendly, helpful staff. The restrooms and store were very clean. The showers are private and very secure. The campground is very easy to find and get to, right off the highway. We needed to get off the road and rest. Slept well, as we were beat! In the end, they get five stars out of five stars. Because they are the best they can be, for what they are. A safe place to land, with a friendly staff.

Perfectly adequate for a short stay. Helpful staff, clean bathrooms and laundry. Very narrow sites. Don't trust Google directions. Use 540 Marriott Rd. If you use 900 Marriott Rd Google will route you under a 10ft railroad trestle. On the day we arrived, a guy had just ripped off the top of his RV.

This campground was a nice. The workers greeted you and was very helpful. They have gas, diesel, and propane on location with a well stocked store. If you want to visit Louisville KY, it is only across the bridge. The only problem with the campground is that parking is close together and a train passes by all day and night.

An RV park, in town is a rarity. Spaces are tight, but you can actually get big rigs in. Staff is helpful and prices are reasonable. Lots of people long term and trains run beside the park. Good for overnight and downtown sightseeing.

Perfect for what we needed. If you are needing a safe/clean spot close to downtown Louisville, this campground is perfect. Yes there is the noise of the city all around you but that is expected. We were here to enjoy a concert/see the horse races and having the option of a campground close to downtown saved us so much money by not having to get a hotel. The staff is exceptionally kind and should we visit Louisville again we will definitely come back.

Spaces are extremely tight and close together but the staff is helpful when it comes to parking. The train is very loud buy the place is in a convenient location for visiting Louisville. One night, two max is fine.

Very nice professional and organized staff. The only complaints are that the spots are on top of each other and the train at night. But that's fine in order to be so close to the city and have such a well run place. Go here to go into town, the river, etc. If you want to hang around camp all day, this may not be the best spot. I'd go back. Love the Louisville Bourbon experience!

This park is basically a big parking next to a railroad track. The train runs at least 4x a night between hours 5-10. It does run during the hours of 10-8am, various times. It wouldn’t have been so bad but our cats were freaked out every time. I have no idea how it was for them while we were gone during the day. A funny side note- if you watch MeTV, when the train runs it causes the channel to get fuzzy until it is gone. Sites are extremely close together. There is no way we could use our awning if we wanted to. The store has a variety of items. The bags of ice are the cheapest we have seen at a campground. My husband liked the showers but did not like to have to use a key to enter. Not a keypad, a key. It is convenient to Louisville Slugger Museum and Churchhill downs. This campground is not our cup of tea, but based on other reviews others seem to like it. I had not read the reviews prior to being here or we would have chosen differently. I agree with those who say this is good for an overnight. This is not a destination campground.

We stayed Thursday to Sunday. It is next to a railroad but with our noise machine, we couldn't really hear the trains. The bathrooms were clean, and the showers had great water pressure! I like the pull through spots, and it was level!!! Excellent location, easy drive or uber to Whiskey Row, Stadiums, and more!

We stopped here overnight on our way home. The campground served its purpose. The staff was extremely friendly, escorted us to the site, kind in the store, moved us to a pull thru as one became available before we arrived. We had full hook up, WiFi, a place to lay our heads and now we are ready to head home. There is a huge RV dealer and repair shop next door so if you are having any issues, that is a plus. We did hear the train but it didn’t wake up our kids as the air was on. The site was level so it was an easy set up after a long day of traveling. We were too long to stay hitched but that’s okay.

Okay, first let's state the obvious. Yes, it's basically a parking lot and yes a sometimes noisy train goes by in the middle of the night. HOWEVER, it's less than a 15 minute drive from most places in Louisville, it's clean, the Train is actually pretty cool, AND they rescue street cats! As a visitor from Hell Michigan, I think I may have found a little slice of Heaven.

I knew the spots were tight and it was next to RR tracks before I reserved. So I will not deduct stars for that. I didnt find the train that bad. Park host did a great job of guiding us in. They patrol the park ofter. Very clean and friendly. I stayed 5 days

If your looking for parking lot camping. this one is for you. Train over my head, and so close the neighbor couldnt open his slides all the way. cant sit outside. there is a picnic table but no space to enjoy it. it is however easy on and off the highway so if your passing trough for a night sleep (and trains don't bother you) this works. personally i won't be back.

Very friendly staff, easy to set up an after hours arrival. This isn’t a destination place as others noted and yes the train is loud but we only heard it once. Facilities were clean and everything worked well. Definitely recommend for an overnight.

Campground is clean and the laundry is awesome! Easy access to the highway and there's a Campers Inn just down the street. We will be back the next time we're in the area.

We stayed at LNC for 2 nights so we could watch the girls softball games at Spaulding University. I will start by saying this is not a destination campground. This is a perfect campground to use as a base for other events, activities, etc. - especially in Louisville. The sites are close together and it is mostly asphalt. The campground was clean and safe. There is a train that runs along the backside of the campground and the trains are frequent, but not so bad that it was unbearable. The staff is amazing, friendly and very helpful. The showers and bathrooms were very clean and only accessible to campers. There is NOT, and I repeat NOT a homeless camp or vagrants next to the campground nor are they roaming the campground at night. The only things roaming are the numerous little grey squirrels. It was a great experience and will be reserving a spot in the future.

I will never stay there again, I asked for two spots side by side, when we arrived the first words were we are not staying. The place looked like an RV sales lot, all units very close to one another, it looked like a parking lot.I am not sure where the pictures on the website came from but it was not the same place. There was no grass, fire ring or even a place for a fire, the camper were so close it was terrible. I travel with my dog and their dog area was a small piece of dirt along the fence. The location is very close to downtown Louisville, we ended up finding a campground about an hour away.

This is a very nice campground to visit. Staff is very friendly. Bathroom facilities are clean. Shower facilities are clean. Fire pits, gas station, propane, it is all here. The prices are fair. It is safe and secure with staff patrolling periodically. Close to Louisville, New Albany, Jeffersonville, and Clarksville. There is a great rails to trails across the street. A dinner theater and a RV store within a short walk as well.

This park is pretty rundown - a big parking lot with crumbling asphalt and stones next to a railroad track. Sites are extremely close together - the one RV next to us could not open his awning all the way and had to back out of a pull-thru to leave (as did we). The interior pull-thru sites have all sun, but the smaller exterior sites (along the railroad tracks) have some nice shade. So why 3 stars? The customer service was good and the price ($45 a night for 50amp FHU) was reasonable. It is located just across the river from Louisville and adjacent to the cute town of Jeffersonville. And you can ride your bike right from the park to an excellent bike trail. I would recommend this place for cost and convenience!

Don't stay here! There's is a huge homeless camp directly behind. The homeless walk through all hours of the day and night. The smell of rotting everything drifting over is disgusting. There is also 30+ feral cats that are fed by the RV park workers.

You will not get any sleep if you stay in this park. Extremely LOUD industrial train runs through every few hours, through the night. The train is about 50 ft. from where your camper will be parked, so your camper will shake every time this lengthy train passes. Water pressure is extremely low here, so good luck getting more than a trickle when you shower. Spots in the park are unlevel and crammed together very tightly with minimal room to back in and no place to park your vehicle afterwards.

We used this CG as a base for visiting friends in Louisville. It was perfect. Spots are tight ,but the staff was very helpful and the restrooms were spotless. The on site store is well equipped. There are train tracks but in our time there we heard 1 train each night. The trains were moving slowly and all in all hardly noticeable. The park across the street was great for walking the dogs. We would definitely use this CG again. I would not call this a destination CG but as a layover or a base for sleeping it was ideal.

This campground was perfect. We were pleasantly surprised at the gas, diesel and propane available on site. The store had a really nice variety of items and priced fairly. The campground staff was super friendly and greeted us and showed us to our spot. The sites are close together but it didn't bother us. We were there to do some site seeing of the city. There is a nice walking path across the street and the surrounding area is safe and we were so close to everything. We will definitely stay here again when passing through in the future.

Husband and I, the dog and the cat stayed a week to visit family. Park is located in a neighborhood minutes from everything in Louisville. Greeted immediately pulling in, and led right to site. Easy check in, friendly, helpful staff, and a well stocked convenience store on site. Dump station, gas, diesel, and propane available. Notes: - Playground from your childhood (Gen X and older),with a metal slide and a perfectly balanced merry go round. I’m 53, but I was eight years old again for a few minutes on that thing. -The dog walk is a strip along a fence. Walk across the street and enjoy a nice park with beautiful trees with your dog. There’s also a family water park there with a pool, splash pads and slides. -Train tracks on the hillside. Didn’t bother us or the pets. -Sites are close together. Had no problems with room for slides. Be mindful of awnings. I only put mine out halfway. -All hookups worked great. -Bathrooms and showers are immaculate. Excellent water pressure. -Cats! Lots of well loved cats on site in the store. Overall it was a great place to stay to connect with family and the city. We will definitely be back when we’re in town again.

Its a parking very tight spaces. But easy on and off very helpful and friendly staff show you to your site. Individual showers . Gas diesel and propane on site. We only used this as stopover . It has a park and trail close by and rv dealer next door we didn't use.

Nice place for a one night stop over for us on a last minute reservation in Nov 2021. Tight spaces yes. Train noise yes. But clean and well run and nice people. We were in a 30' Motorhome. We appreciate that the campground was there. I recommend Louisville North Campground.

The site was fine once you got there. Getting there @ night is very tricky though & not recommended. The road leading right to the camp is a sheer drop off on one site & severely potholed. Emailed directions do no good if your traveling/driving & it is nighttime.

It was super disappointing! The train track was RIGHT behind the property and very load Just gets me the greed of the owner If he would of made my neighbor and my site one site it would be a fair size site ! Mo-MONEY ,

We stayed here for Louder Than Life Festival and we were more than pleased. At check in they drove us to pick a spot and had staff ready to help us back in if needed. There was a store on site which was great. We intend to stay here in the future when in the Louisville area. The train came by multiple times but was no bother. The site was very well maintained, clean and offered everything you would need. Also had great neighbors! The spots are tight but we had plenty of room to do what we needed to do. Highly recommend if you’re in the Louisville area.

Not bad! Perfect place to go if your only agenda is getting some shut-eye. Location is great, right off the interstate, which makes for a quick on/off. Staff are accommodating and even led us to our site even though they were just about to close for the night (9pm). As many others have stated, the sites are very close together and it’s all gravel/concrete, but that didn’t bother us since we were only there to get some sleep. The campsite is situated next to train tracks, which was super loud but we got used to it.

  • 4/5 victor m. 7 months ago on Google
Was a little nervous pulling in to the campsite. But it actually ended up being great for our needs. We stayed for the Louder than Life music festival. The convenience store had some things that I forgot to pack. The sites are a little narrow, so if you have a large camper it might be tight, but our 24 footer with a single slide out fit perfect. And there was room for us to be able to sit outside if we wanted. Though, we really just slept here. We were gone all day. The bathrooms were clean as was the entire facility really. Biggest complaint is how close it is to some very active train tracks, but I grew up in a small town with a track running through it, so that didn’t bother my too terribly much. All in all, would stay here again if I was just passing through or staying in town for an event.

Their employee (younger red head kid) escorted our friend into the campground. Their direction was to follow the escorts direction. The escorts direction caused our friend to scrape the corner of a building. Approx $8k damage to their camper. The campground claims no fault. If you must stay at this place do not place faith in the employees

  • 4/5 Diane B. 1 year ago on Google
Location location location! This RV park is only a 15 min drive to downtown. It is walking distance to the waterfront, trails, parks, restaurants and bars (15-25 min walk). The park staff are amazing. There is a convenience store on site (yay for ice!). The place is well kept and clean. There is a nice playground for the kids and it is next to a nice community pool area. The train noise never bothered us. Spots are tight, so if you have a big rig I suggest getting a pull through. Only reason it's not 5 stars is they could use a fenced in dog park. They suggest using nearby fields, but that can be problematic with cars and homeless people around.
