Though I love the fish here two of my last three visits have been bad experiences, at least as far as customer service goes. The first occasion I ordered a two-piece fish dinner only to get home and see there was only a single piece of fish in my $14 meal. I immediately tried calling, numerous times, but only got a recording with no way to leave a message. I drove the 10 minutes back to the restaurant and was somewhat begrudgingly given my other piece. The other night I ordered a baked fish, onion rings and a two piece fish meal. Upon getting home the large bag in my near $30 order, assumed to be my fish, turned out to be a cole slaw and large onion rings. Not even a single piece of fried fish for my two-piece dinner. I again drove the 10 minutes back to the restaurant and spoke with the manager. He gave me two pieces of fish in a paper tray. All I will say is that if you get drive-thru do yourself a favor and check your order while still sitting at the pickup window. Lastly, management/owners need to clear their phone messages and/or fix the ring setting to eight or ten rings instead of three rings.

The fish was greasy. The clams pictured below were between crispy and burnt. The fries weren't crispy and were warm at best. I'm leaving this becasue you cannot reach out to them for a real-time conversation and send photos of what they're serving. The Fern Creek location always disappoints. Middletown, Dixie, and Hikes Point are always a step up.

Food was cold never got condiments I asked for. When I called about food being cold and no condiments the employee told me The only thing he could do is give me cond.. if I drove back wich I was 25 min away by the time they answered me..

The fish wasn't good at all. and the onion rings were so hard that I couldn't eat them. The only good thing was the lemonade. I'm sorry but you asked.

We have been going to this Moby Dick’s for 20 years. It was always great up until about a year ago. We always get the fish box for 2. Costs more which is understood because everything costs more. But the fish pieces are smaller and “DARK” in the middle most of the time of every piece! The don’t give you near the fries or onion rings. Also they won’t give you pump tarter in the drive thru any more?! This last visit was AWFUL! Only 3 small pieces of fish instead of 4! Hardly ANY fries and 4 TINY onion rings!!! Then NO HUSH PUPPIES?! What the heck??? So after 20 years…..NO THANKS!

Stopped in today at lunchtime in the drive-thru. There was a long line and a good wait but what do you expect for a Friday at noon? I can tell you, it was worth the wait. The employees were friendly and helpful. I had the 2 piece fish dinner and every bite was delicious. Love the fish, cooked just right and have enough for supper. I’ll be back!

Good food but is as expensive as a nicer sit down restaurant.

feels like one of those fast food restaurants that is run by teenagers bc I never see anyone actually managing this location. it's ok just not the best food or service.

Always have customers but menu different then other stores and prices are a bit more then other locations. I believe it's because privately owned.

What a great experience. Walked in to place a carry out order, young folks laughing it up, working hard and taking care of all customers - inside, call ins as well as walk up carry out. So refreshing to see youngsters having fun while working hard and taking care of the customer. THANK YOU! Will definitely be back! ✌🏾

Something is wrong with the fish they are serving. They always had great fish, Something has changed. They must have found a cheaper fish. It doesn't taste or look the same. I kept going back hoping it was just a bad batch, but I'm done now.

Best seafood in Louisville area. Onion rings are great too! Young staff wasn't rude but lacked customer service skills.

Arrived at drive thru at 8:35 Sat behind 2 vehicles, one was served the other waited at the speaker and I finally pulled away at 8:58 after watching 3 young looking teenagers playing around. They did not seem to care at all and as I sat in the drive thru I could see through the door and watched them playing with towels, goofing around and seemingly mocking the 3 cars of people they refused to serve.

Have you tried their bratwurst on Rye with mustard? I recently had one, and it was great! What about a side of onion rings? They were great; hot and crispy. So what else do you need? Stop by and try for yourselves.

Service is slow, but food is fantastic and well worth the wait. Fish is amazing, big thick fillets and it's not too pricey. Definitely my new favorite.

Moby Duck is a favorite place to eat. The food is always hot and delicious. The staff is always friendly. They are closed on Mondays.

Excellent food the hush puppies are the absolute best I usually get extra with the first mate meal with fries or onion rings the portions are great and the prices are really good the staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean

Some female employee kept broom sweeping the dining room, even though we asked her not to while we were eating. A second customer asked her to stop and she said ok but continued to sweep??! I told her we have lung issues. I told her the dust she was stirring up was being recirculated thru the HVAC system. She continued sweeping 😑 how inconsiderate is that?

always great food. drive through may take a little time so I would go in if able.

The only issue with this place is that they can get really busy. Really good seafood, just don't expect to be through the drive through quickly depending on when you go.

First Mate Meal was hot and fresh. Of course I had to add a few hush puppies for snacks later! But dang I forgot the Fried Green Tomatoes!!!!!

Called was told I could order carry out. Then was hung up on. Called back after much debate (among them not me) they said no. I know this is the new American way of business and employees. I miss the old way.

Over the years, I’ve probably eaten here a hundred times. I used to live in Fern Creek and I still work in the area quite often. Every time I come, I always get great service. The food takes a little time but that’s what you pay for, fresh food! I will always come back to this location when I want some fresh seafood.

Shared an afternoon lunch with my sis today at the Fern Creek location. We ordered fish sandwiches and onion rings. Our food was very good. Nicely breaded fish was cooked perfectly and the onion rings were delicious!! We'll certainly be repeat customers.
