I love it here. I love how it feels like I stepped into the same tanning salon I went to as a teenager. Which were the best tanning salons, BTW. The beds are great! I absolutely love that you can do single visits, all the way up to monthly - BUT you don't have a contract that will literally empty your life savings if you don't keep up with it for a year. Some people tan all year (🙄) but not this girl. Not to mention the lovely lady that works the front desk is amazingly sweet. It's hard to find that anymore. Everyone is so angry, and rude as hell. So, I'll just stay coming back to the ones who don't make you wish you never left the house to begin with. 😬😁

I used to tan at Sun Tan City and Gosh am I glad I made the switch!!! No membership fees, no hidden fees! The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Many lotions and moisturizers to pick from. Prices are so much more reasonable than the other salon AND you actually get tan!!! Been here 4 times and I have a super nice tan. Also her spray tans are amazing!! 1-1 airbrushing 🤘🏻 Id recommend this tanning salon to anyone!!

Love this place and the owner, Debbie is amazing. Always friendly always clean . Summer gets busy but that just means hot beds which I LOVE. She has great staff and great prices. There's a stand up bed, and uva and uvb beds and a leg tanner. She also does spray tan.

The owner and staff are personable. Their equipment is kept up, clean, and tanning bulbs are changed regularly. It is a pleasure to be a customer there.

Took my friend here for a spray tan before we left for a wedding that weekend. Tan looked ok, but their machine did leave a very weird lingering smell on my skin afterwards. I have had hundreds of spray tans before but this one left a nauseating smell that no other ever has which was a problem since I couldn’t shower for a few days. The staff was also extremely rude and barely assisted us whatsoever. Walked out of the booth to ask a question and the front desk person had disappeared and I couldn’t find anyone anywhere. I love to support small local businesses but I will not be supporting them again. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

I thought it would be great to support a locally owned business, however as a 45 year old professional its been a long time since someone started to answer my question with "Look kid, ...." However fantastic these beds may be at Island Tan, I can say for certain no one at the local corporate tanning salon has ever spoke to me in such a condescending or aggressive tone. Needless to say my first impression was super disappointing. ETA: I'm speaking of my experience with the independently owned tanning salon in the Cedar Springs shopping center. The conversation happened today around 1230pm. Contrary to businesses response, I do not believe I am confusing this review with any other tanning salon.

The best HAND SPRAYED tans ever! No booth, no orange color or funny smell! Done with Norvell products, a violet undertone, so you look like you just came off the beach☺️

Debbie is the best. So kind and does the best spray tan of anyone. Took my daughter in for spray tan for her wedding. Turned out great.

Island Tan is hands down the BEST tanning salon in Louisville!! Debbie is kindest most amazing person… just shows you why she’s been in business for over 20 years!! There is one issue and that’s the unprofessional neighbor Dental Works. Nicki, Kelsey and the very rude young man that yells profanity at Debbie that all work at Dental works. They all come and park their vehicles in the parking reserved for island tan patrons. I witnessed this myself today where the young man who works at dental works who drives a blue jeep came out to move his vehicle and gave Debbie and her patrons the middle finger. When Debbie reported it to Nicki ( the manager) I guess. She did nothing about it. Then the young man came out yelling expletives at Debbie. It was so shocking and uncalled for, that parking should only be used for customers. There’s plenty of parking in the back of the building for all employees. It was awful to see such unprofessional behavior from Dental works!! ISLAND TAN IS AMAZING!! Thank you Debbie for your professionalism and kindness!! P.S. Cody Kessler, Jay Wise, Kelsey Harwick, Nicki, Nicky, Nicole…. All work at Dental Works Cedar Springs!!! They’re trying to make Island Tan look like a terrible place over a parking space… seriously childish!! Love the vibe of this place! It's that time of year and this is the only place I'll go. My daughter has switched to coming here (and she' enjoys never agreeing w/me) so there's that. Beds are well maintained/hot.

I was very skeptical about getting my first spray tan but needed it for a wedding. I’ll have to say, it looks more amazing than any natural tan I’ve ever had! The staff at Island Tan are just amazing and very professional. The place is very clean and after talking with the owner for a bit, I learned how they frequently change their tanning bed lights to make sure their customers get the very best of service. Needless to say, I’m very impressed with this establishment and will not hesitate to visit again! A+++

I just had my first Spray Tan ! I will say she is Amazing! It turned out Gorgeous! Every one thought I had been on Vacation at the beach!! She has a beautiful place and also an amazing personality! Would give her place 20 Stars 🌟

Debbie is amazing! She's polite and super friendly. There's never any wait time when I go into the salon! I absolutely love it! Never any high pressure sales just to tan to buy expensive lotions, but if you want to purchase they are more than willing to speak about the lotions with you! Sun tan city is a joke! I'd rather support a local business and pay a little extra a month than to be harrrassed wait in line or wonder if the little girls behind the counter cleaned the beds. The best thing no contract, pay per visit or monthly and no strings attached. They have amazing beds! I see noticeable color after every visit! I've been going every other day for less than half a month and have achieved my goal tan. Awesome business!!! Beautiful and cozy inside as well. Love it!

I got a spray tan here and it went so amazing! Very comfortable and welcoming, I was nervous going to a new place but I will now come here for every spray tan because of the hospitality! Not to mention how amazing my color is! Great place, 10/10 recommend!
