This Residence Inn surpassed our expectations, starting with the hotel supervisor, Aaron Lopez. We are on a cross-country road trip to relocate from Texas to Pennsylvania, traveling with a Uhaul trailer, father, baby, and dog. Aaron greeted us with 5-star service, asking how he could make our stay most comfortable. Since occupancy was lower today, Aaron offered to upgrade our room so that we could all have a bed vs my father sleeping on a sofa bed, as well as extra space for our baby and dog. Aaron allowed us to comfortably park our trailer on the property in front of our room. We were pleasantly surprised by the room compared to pictures online, which looked more dated. It’s been well maintained, cleaned, and has everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Highly recommend this location!

This is my favorite Residence Inn in Louisville hands down. Its not the newest but its the best. This location is set up like apartments. So whether you are staying one night or six months you can't deny the benefits of having a patio with a sliding glass door, door opening outside instead of a hallway. The landscaping is beautiful, theres a basketball court and an outdoor pool. Its located in a great upscale area where there are two malls in less than 2 miles away. Two expressways less than 2 miles away, full laundry room, full size kitchen, granite counter tops, two closets in your room and smart TV. Jason the manager is a class act and so are the employees that he supports. Great team and great place.

I've staying at a lot of hotels. Yesterday we stayed at a staybridge suites, it cost $400. I wish I had known for $166 I could have stayed at this Residence Inn and I would have had more room for the kids, and a better overall interaction with the staff. The room was amazing, it seemed like a tiny apartment. Had basically three different rooms, two bathrooms, and the only downside was it was upstairs which if your hurt or old enough would be difficult. Overall what I realize is I will always try to stay at this hotel anytime I come to Louisville. It's better than even the $800+ rooms. The bed was amazing, woke up feeling like I had slept on a cloud.

We stayed one night in a two-story loft with our family of 6. The kids loved it. My husband was fine with it. It was okay to me but probably not somewhere I will stay again. My immediate impression when walking in was that the space was dated and well-worn. While the kitchen area seemed to be updated and felt nicer, most of the unit felt weary. The carpet throughout was old, the stair railing looked like it was from my childhood, the bottom of the armchair was frayed, and I felt unsure of the overall cleanliness. The only blatantly dirty aspect was the bottom front of the toilet downstairs; it had dried splatters of something all down the front of it that had not been cleaned off. That was pretty gross. Other than that, I can’t say that the whole place felt dirty; it could just use some fresh carpet and furniture. Also, there was pet hair on the pull-out sofa in the living room. I definitely don’t understand this popular shift in the hotel world toward pet-friendliness without regard for allergens. I love pets and understand people want to travel with them. But we need some pet-free options for guests who have sensitivities to pet hair. If that’s not possible, then the cleaning staff really has to get rid of residual pet hair between guests. Thankfully, as short as our stay was, it did not irritate my son this time as it has at previous experiences in other places. I will say that the staff members we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We were offered additional bedding for the sofa, and we also were given a toothbrush for the one kid who packed hers in the wrong suitcase. :) Also, the hot breakfast was decent. I was surprised it shut down at 9:00, though. My husband and sons went just in time to eat something and bring back plates for those of us who weren’t ready to leave the room yet. We enjoyed it overall. All in all, it was not an awful stay by any means. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was functional and stocked with the utensils we needed, and it served our purposes for a quick stay over on a long road trip. While it won’t be my first choice for future stays, I wouldn’t cross it off the list entirely.

I'm staying here for about 2 weeks until the condo I'm buying becomes available and I must say that this hotel is damn near perfect. From the quality and cleanliness of its rooms to the overwhelmingly friendly nature of its entire staff, the Residence Inn at Hurstbourne Parkway is by far the finest Residence Inn at which I've stayed. Book here with confidence.

The man at the front desk was extremely polite, and had great manners. Not once was he rude about anything at all, same goes for all of the other staff. The lobby was nice, we liked the vibe of it, and the comfort of it. This inn had an outdoor pool, which was nice, but only had one open entrance for some reason. Next to the pool was a small basketball court. It was nice, but the hoop was crooked which made it harder to play. Walking the dogs was fun. I’d look up to walking the dogs every morning and every evening. The walk around the area felt like home. The breakfast was great, yet it had a small variety of food, and it didn’t have any oil for the waffles making them hard to get out of the waffle maker. They had quiches, which were miniature and surprisingly very good. Not many hotels have quiches for breakfast. The room was great. It had an upstairs room and a downstairs one. The couch turned into a bed. The downsides were that there were a couple of light bulbs that were out, the dishwasher didn’t work, there weren’t enough utensils or kitchenware, and in the room upstairs, the bed was right under a loft that could be a hazard to little children if they got on the bed and jumped off for some reason. I would recommend to the managers to flip the bed around, so the head isn’t facing the loft. The Wi-Fi was great! It stretched through out the whole area, and I had full bars while I was walking the dogs. The fridge temperature should be lowered, because we put sodas in the fridge and they froze overnight. We loved the design of the area. It was like a neighborhood! Every room looked like a cute little cottage, and it just made the experience better. Overall, we liked this Residence Inn located in Louisville, Kentucky. If your visiting, we do recommend going here if you can’t find any other places to stay. -Traveling Twins Safe Travels!

Stayed at this Residence Inn from April 13-16, 2023. Like many of the other reviews, the room was clean enough, spacious enough, and the front desk was friendly enough. However, upon my arrival, the shower did not work, and the toilet did not flush. I immediately complained to the front desk and they could not help me until the wee hours of the morning because the Service staff was not on duty. After tinkering with a shower for a few minutes, I was able to get the shower operational. The service staff arrived the next morning repaired the toilet and left. The problem is, the toilet still did not work after they left. I made another request to the front desk, but didn’t get anywhere. After the multiple problems I would think a general manager would contact me afterwards, but nobody did. I would expect more from a Marriott. I will never return to this hotel and do not recommend to anyone visiting Louisville.

Staff is wonderful, always ready to help and always wear a smile. The studio rooms are really a studio! Very clean, and everything you need, right down to that knife you didn't bring bc you weren't planning on buying an onion!!

Great rooms! Great hospitality. Good value for a 2 bedroom suite. Carpet could probably use replaced but being kid and pet friendly it was perfect for us.

I stayed there during the Christmas week. The location was great because there’s plenty of stores and restaurants in the area. I had a studio which had a full bathroom(tub) and kitchen (oven). There were 2 closets which allowed me to store my cooler, 2 cases or water, and other novelties separate from clothes and shoes. The extra closet allowed the room to maintain open space. I didn’t go to breakfast, but granola bars, fruit, and muffins were out whenever I had to go to the front desk. The fire alarm system need some attention, but notice was given a day prior. The men were friendly, in/out. I was comfortable there. I requested housekeeping NYE, sheet change and vacuum. When I returned, Deb/Diane, I apologize not really sure, gave a thorough cleaning which was recognized when I opened to door. I appreciated it so much. I was on the first floor so I pretty much kept my curtains closed, but I thought having the sliding doors was a nice inclusion. Everyone I encountered were courteous.

The front desk was friendly. The room was clean enough. But, I was very disappointed with the upkeep of the room. Both sets of curtains were broken, the shower door wouldn’t close, the toilet paper roll was broken and most of the outlets were not working. Really? Come on Marriott, this is not what your brand stands for!!

    - bugs everywhere. I killed a cockroach daily - I could not use the sink because every time water ran through it, the garbage disposal smelled so rotten. - I was supposed to have the room cleaned every other day. I stayed for 11 nights. I had to go find my own towels because there was never anyone available - What I suspect to be blood stains in the carpet when I first checked in. I asked if I could be moved to a new room, the front desk person Jacob or whatever said there weren’t any other room You’re getting what you pay for which is stupid low. Would never recommend it.

This place was beyond our expectations. We came in for a pickleball tournament with some friends from Ohio. When we checked in we were greater by Aaron at the front desk. He was very kind and super accommodating when we asked if we could get a room closer to our friend and the sport court. When my wife booked this place she saw the pool (which is usually a must for our stays) and the sport court. We brought our own net so that we could practice and warm up before the tournament. Aaron helped us out and got some tape so that we could tape off the lines and even joined in and learned some of the game. Aaron would also come out frequently while we're hanging out by the fire pit and make sure we had everything we needed. He got us grilling utensils when we grilled, towels when we went to the pool and even turned the outside lights on so we could hit around a little more. All around awesome experience!! Aaron went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.

I was put up in this hotel for a business trip about a month ago. I first walked in and it looked beautiful, before I turned on all the main lights and could see everything. The room needs heavy maintenance, a deep clean, and heavy fumigation. The toilet was broken, ceiling fan had a thick coating of dust, and the refrigerator and microwave need bleaching. There was an odd film on the carpet when walking across it in bare feet. It's one of these places where if the walls could talk, you probably wouldn't want to know what they say.

Rooms were fine, a bit lumpy but otherwise ok! No issues with anything in the room. It smelled a little weedy, but not real bad. The staff was great, 5 stars there. Super helpful. It looks like the facility overall is well kept. There is a ball court and a pool. It's well lit at night.

I stay here, usually weekly for work, but not as much as I used to. I specifically request this hotel when I stay in Louisville. The staff are always friendly and help alleviate any problems, if you encounter one. It's quiet and peaceful. If you are like me, and only try to eat fresh food, this is the place for you. Each room has a clean full-size kitchen. Pots and pans provided. If you don't have something, more than likely, they have it for you. I really appreciate this hotel and all the staff.

I've been patient but they charged my card for 2 nights and the room had blonde hair on the upstairs bed and it smelled like cigarettes. I'm sure they are not sanitizing the rooms and switching the linen. I used to love this place. I have sent and verbally gave a complaint but still no feedback. I did receive an email they were looking into it but still no call. 12/28 date of service.

We checked in later into the night. Aaron and another young lady checked us in . We explained that we couldn't check in on the app, and he informed us there are not a newer Marriott. Wished the numbers on the building were bigger or luminous to see at night. The room was spacious, but the bed was horrible, and the shower lever didn't work. There are no elevators, so it would be hard for someone who has mobility issues. Breakfast was wonderful on the first morning, but the second day, a family was coughing in the eggs and using their hands to pick up the food! There were items to use to handle the food, but the guest refused. Let the front desk know we ate at I- hop. They do have a pool, tennis courts, basketball, and a picnic table. We would consider to restay because of the top quality of service we received from the front desk. 😀

Stay off the ground floor!! The howling, grinding, and whistling of hvac systems WILL keep you awake all night. The rooms were last decorated in the mid-90s. The low-flow showers feel like someone standing on the roof peeing on your head. The free breakfast is bland industrialized food product at scale. Quite a few people seem to be just sleeping in their cars. Just kind of a sad, depressing place. The price is just high enough to keep out trouble, but otherwise this is kind of a dump

My family and I recently stayed at this location during the Thanksgiving holiday. We were notified upon arrival that our rooms would not be cleaned on Thanksgiving day (which i totally appreciated and agreed with) and service will resume on Friday. Unfortunately service never resumed. We checked in on Wednesday, House keeping came at about 4pm on Friday and gave use towels, MADE the bed and left, never to return again. The room was not cleaned, had a weird smell, the sheets were not changed, the bathroom was not cleaned, the floor was not vacuumed and nothing was wiped down. The young lady worked in the food service, Toneka was absolutely awesome and welcoming.

The rooms are like mini apartments it's great! Full refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher, and they actually provide dishes and cookware plus the soaps to wash them and paper towels. The room are very clean. They also have coffee pot and toasters too. They provide breakfast every morning. Not to mention the have onsite laundry. Best yet they have a little outdoor pool with basket court and grilling/chilling area! It's more like an apartment complex than a motel. The staff were very friendly and professional. Would recommend.

I travel through Louavul a lot! I always stay at this location. The first time I checked in it was so good I stayed for 22 months. 👍💥 Anything I need is within a 5-9 minute drive. The staff is always Professional and Welcoming! It’s less than a 20 minute UBER/Lyft ride to the Airport Thank You Residence Inn Louisville East!

Clean rooms, nice staff The room got 3 stars because it's the hardest bed I've ever slept in in my life. Other than that it's a nice hotel for weekly stays

This place was very dirty. We had to change hotels. Seats had stains all over them, carpet was sticky and left black on socks/feet, heavy coat of dust on the fan, vents and the top of the refrigerator had dirt/crumbs all over it. It was as if someone hadn’t cleaned the room. Very disappointed considering it’s a Residence Inn and I had other experiences with them that were positive.

Pics say a lot! One fork and one drinking glass was all that was available in the "suite." And, the brass lock was broken. Kitchen appliances were fine and room was standard suite for a Residence Inn by Marriott. Asked for more glasses and was told there were none available. Paper cups and plastic forks were all they offered. I believe Marriott makes enough from customers to replace nominal items that are missing from rooms. Needs to replace the broken lock too! Disappointing stay at this particular hotel.

I'd stay here again - but read my 'cons' below Pros: Excellent location, 20 minutes to downtown, close to such excellent food as Starving Artist Cafe, Mama's Mustard and Pickle BBQ, Fat Jimmies Pizza Good customer service Decent breakfast (although it didn't vary much in the 5 days we were there) with healthy options. Cons: Tiny five-person pool that only opens at 11am Sub-par housekeeping - the vents in our room looked like they had never been cleaned, the ceiling fan was black with dust (see pic) - we didn't dare turn it on and the bathroom supplies (shampoo, conditioner etc were empty when we moved in. We also had to request that a wall be cleaned - it had ketchup sprayed across it.

I'll say that other reviews for this are pretty spot on. It seems like some rooms may be nice, and I'm sure that they all were at some point. The room that we stayed in had not been cleaned for quite some time. The floor left a blackish residue on our socks, there were hundreds of ants in and around the garbage can of our kitchen and it smelled very strongly of whatever the last people had cooked before us. We called the front desk asking if they could clean the room for us and she laughed because the cleaning crew was busy 3 days out. We also had to call maintenance because our toilet wasn't working, but they were quick at least. They didn't cover their shoes though and got mud on half of our towels (which was especially bad since we couldn't get cleaning service at all). The space is really nice size wise but we won't be coming back because of how low quality it is being kept up.

The worst experience and nightmare. I would never recommend this place for even few hours stay. We booked a night stay. The first room we got the AC was not working at all. Called them twice and they changed our room later. Moving luggage and our baby stuff again to different room after having a long day was such a pain. The lady on the front desk was so rude. She seemed like totally drunk or doing drugs. I called her for help in shifting baby's crib and she responded so badly. Jason helped us later and listened to our concerns. Please don't stay here!!!

This was the most expensive hotel I’ve ever stayed at and it was absolutely disgusting. Our room had a few large wet stains on the carpet and we didn’t feel safe walking around barefoot. It smelled terrible. I can’t believe I paid almost 200 for this traumatizing experience.

  • 2/5 Chris M. 2 years ago on Google
This is by far the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at. Really dirty room, filthy floors and the pull out was so disgusting that we couldn't even put our daughter on it. Even in my late teens staying at some of the most dive motels in the world I have never seen a mattress so disgusting. The staff was clumsy at best I had to stand in the lobby for 20 minutes while they tried to figure out which room to put us in. I will never stay here again.

We loved our stay here. The staff was very nice. The 2 bedroom suite with the loft is super nice and very affordable. When we come back to Louisville we are definitely staying here. They're pet friendly so that's a huge plus. But I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Also they have a full kitchen. With an oven and dishwasher too.
