If you are in Louisville and you get a chance, GO VISIT The Muhammad Ali Center. This was beyond an experience, it was a spiritual experience as well. I was supposed to go with a group of people, but I’m so glad I didn’t! I loved experiencing this place by myself. I could take my time reading, and sitting and just enjoying every moment without people rushing or talking to me while I’m trying to enjoy the moment. I’m so glad I went, and enjoyed this beautiful place. Go visit, you will absolutely love it!

A great experience. The museum is laid out beautifully loaded with interesting displays. Tons of memorabilia and film footage. You also learn a lot about Ali, the person. So glad we came. It's fascinating.

What a great museum dedicated to the great Muhammad Ali. We spent about an hour and a half walking through the various exhibits starting with his childhood and early years, and finishing with his later years. They have a great deal of memorabilia and can't believe there's so much about his life that you wouldn't know unless you've read/studied his life. There's also a short film available for viewing and a section playing some of his most notable fights. If you have time and find yourself in Louisville, I highly recommend visiting the Muhammad Ali Center.

Something for the Bucket List that I never knew it was on! I happened to have an extended layover, since I knew this was Muhammad Ali's hometown, I searched to see if there was any sort of landmark to visit and found this, not far from the hotel! I'm glad to find the Center, containing a few pieces of memorabilia, displayed along with documentation of Ali's history! I thought this was an excellent tribute to the man who was not only an exceptional athlete, but an exceptional human being! I recommend anyone visiting Louisville to spend an afternoon here, it was well worth it!

As a big fan of the Greatest Muhammad Ali, This place is very important to me. I was amazed by the wonderful artifacts at the museum. I plan on exploring the whole place whenever I go back to Kentucky.

From the moment you step foot into the museum, you are transported into the world of Muhammad Ali. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, showcasing the remarkable achievements, struggles, and the indomitable spirit of this legendary figure. Through a combination of artifacts, interactive displays, multimedia presentations, and personal stories, the museum paints a vivid picture of Ali's life and his impact on society. One of the highlights of the museum is the collection of tangible evidence of Muhammad Ali's greatness. You can see his iconic boxing gloves, championship belts, and even the robe he wore during some of his most memorable fights. These artifacts serve as a tangible reminder of the battles he faced inside the ring and the triumphs he achieved against all odds.

Very cool museum, gives an in-depth look at Muhammad Ali ho he was as a person and as a boxer. He truly was great and did a lot for his people, inspiring people to be the best versions of themselves and to believe in their dreams! I highly recommend visiting some cool merchandise in the gift shop. Look at the attached pics and videos!

I really enjoyed my visit at the Muhammad Ali center. The museum is beautiful on the inside. When I first walked in I was warmly greeted by the staff and and the ticket price run pretty cheap. They offer a military and first responders discount . I started off watching a movie that was about 15 minutes about Muhamed Ali life, then I went to see the exhibit . Some of the exhibit are interactive . Also they have a store that you can buy souvenirs. T-shirts cups keychains …etc .

Great place to see the life of Muhammad Ali displayed. I think those of us that lived through this time did not realize his true impact on the world. This center does a wonderful job of laying outbreaks history, his struggles and his contributions to the world. A truly amazing human being. Well worth spending some time in Louisville to see this exhibit. It will amaze and inspire you or it should 😊

Would definitely go again. I cried and laughed within 30 seconds of each other. Not only does the Muhammad Ali Center pay a wonderful tribute to the boxer and activist. The museum also has artwork from other people, including temporary installments. I went on Martin Luther King Jr day, and it was free entry to all in observation. Also, the view from the 5th floor, outside of the video orientation theater, has got to be one of the best indoor views in the city.

The Muhammad Ali Center was a great experience. The museum’s layout was well designed and easy to navigate. The tour was very informative, and the interactive exhibits were fun to experience. I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the Louisville, KY area. The gift shop had some great items for purchase. Overall, I learned a lot of valuable information throughout the tour.

Self guided immersive tour that allows you to go as fast or slow as you want. Plenty of great info to learn about the champ, and most of it isn't about his boxing. I like the way certain areas spoke about areas that the champ improved in his life. Was not all fluff about how great he was all the time. Very inspiring. Would like to come back with my kids when they are older and can understand more about Ali. Very good experience.

One of the best museum exhibitions I’ve seen. It is not only very immersive, but it is focused on history and the legacy of Ali. It felt true and authentic and not too showy or cheesy. There’s a very inspiring sense to be had when you step into the Ali Center. The only drawback I would be aware of is that the 5th floor is uncomfortably hot, so I would recommend wearing layers in this museum. Otherwise fantastic.

Like the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Muhammad Ali Center is another must visit while in Louisville. We spent about two hours here as well watching all of the videos and touring through all of the memorabilia. Ali was something special and a trailblazer in many ways. Was so glad we got a chance to see it, especially for my son. Highly recommend a visit here!

Nice place to know more about Muhammad Ali life story. Some of his belongings are shown. They tried to make the place exciting by showing his matches. Could be better if they add a tour guide or you could find one easy. There is a good parking lot right behind the building and it is not pricey.

Was in town for a work trip so we took some time to visit the museum which I didn't know existed. So glad we did. It's a great tribute to Ali. I learned so much more outside of him being a boxing champion. A must visit If you're ever in Louisville.

He's a legend, but given the size of the building you could have fit four legends. His life is amazing, but they tried too hard to fill the space with lack of his life's material and the result is a thin spread of something that could have been said on one floor instead of 3+. If you're in the area, why not visit. But, you have better options elsewhere.

Nice museum and tribute to "The Greatest". Experience starts with a 15 minute movie walking through his life story, then you work your way through 3 floors of more detailed history, memorabilia, and then some interactive stuff at the end. Also has some art and special exhibit areas. Left the museum know a lot more about Muhammad Ali, his life and his passions.

Wow! Our students could have stayed here all day. The history and interactive exhibits make for a fun way to share history through this sports legend. Our trolley ride through his life also was an added benefit! We will definetly come again!

Decent museum paying tribute to the greatest boxer of all time. 15 minute video on 5th floor is great so don't skip it. Lots of reading and some interactive exhibits with cool photos and artwork. I saw all I needed in about an hour and 15 minutes.

Woooooooooow!!! This experience was absolutely motivating, inspiring and knowledgeable. You have to go early and have time because there is so much to see, learn and read. From the orientation video to the very end….you learn something new about Muhammad Ali. The Center did an amazing job keeping the audience intrigued and engaged throughout. We took our 12 year old and she can’t stop talking about it. As a family, we definitely enjoyed the entire experience and can’t wait to return.

Amazing exhibit of the great Muhammad Ali. Very detailed and full of memorabilia. Awesome hour- hour and a half self guided tour that is detailed and well laid out. It's three stories of great history. The only con I have is the modern political agenda that is pushed in a particular portion of the museum that Ali wasn't apart of. Minus that, the exhibit is phenomenal

HISTORIC‼️THE IMPACT MUHAMMAD ALI HAS HAD ON PEOPLE IS UNFORGETTABLE AND TIMELESS. I had an amazing experience and look forward to going again. Ali's boxing prowess speaks for itself. His confidence his self lifted not only The Black community but an entire nation. He was man for the people & made choices that didn't sit well with many but he continued to sacrifice & endure. What a time.

An opportunity I've been wanting for so long ! The museum is a multicultural center dedicated to the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali. It's a gem in the heart of Ali's hometown. With a spectacular view on the south bank of Ohio River, this unique design with its six floor levels stands tall. My visit to the M A. center was not just an experience or some stuff that I hadn't known before, but it was a wonderful journey into the heart of a champion's journey of life. The walk through the wings and aisles that contain the exhibits and galleries invite you to explore Muhammad Ali’s legendary life and his six core principles. Seeing all pictures, watching all videos , reading press articles and listening to the hero's strong controversial speeches and interviews over the surrounding speakers , really take you back in time and demonstrate how legendry and glorious figure Mohammed Ali is. The visit may take from 3 hours if your are rushing and up to 5 hours for a thorough visit. This place is a real precious legacy for generations to come.

You can spend hours in this center. I definitely recommend and will visit again! So many interactive exhibits, very kid friendly. Every employee was polite, helpful and readily available.

If you are a Muhammad Ali fan you have to visit at least once. The upper floor is the primary exhibit and really tells his complete career and belief story. You can watch all of his best fights in their entirety on the 4th floor. Only minor disappoint was the lack of memorabilia. I thought there would be a lot more given his prominence.

  • 5/5 Marie O. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience! This center has so much history, not just about The Greatest, but about world issues during his time. Be sure to set aside about 3 hours to get the full experience.

Very moving set of exhibits to honor an international icon. A good way to close our Derby weekend.

I did not visit inside, but it does not look very interesting. The ticket is $18 and the gift shop does not have many things that are related to Mohammad Ali.
