My husband and I frequent Louisville often. We always choose to stay at this hotel. The rooms are a little dated. The beds have improved since staying here the first time! We often spring for the king suite, which are very nice rooms. This hotel isn’t meant to be the nicest hotel Louisville has to offer. However, if you are looking for a nice, quiet, and clean hotel- this hotel is the right one. I have never experienced a rude staff member. I have also never experienced bed bugs in this hotel. I have stayed 8 times here, and never had any issue.

We had a great experience here. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. The hotel was very clean. It was quiet and cozy. It felt great to have a great place to stay while out of town. We are definitely coming back. Thank you so much for everything!

We had a room reserved and we canceled it because we ended up staying somewhere else. We had the confirmation email that it was canceled. They still charged me anyway. Now I've been in to the bank and had to file a dispute online because my bank was $160 worth of fees now. Tried to call and no one answers the phone after MULTIPLE attempts. They didn't reply through email after a few days either What a headache they have been with their "customer service" or lack there of because it's basically non existent. I wonder how many people cancel and don't even realize they still get charged because they dont need to worry about checking transactions. Country inn seems to be a bunch of SCAM ARTIST. You're not getting my money, sorry. DON'T book this hotel. They're shady. Response to owner, It was all in the paperwork. Like I said, good try. I wonder how long you stay in business 🤔

Hotel room was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary dirty. However, when checking in, despite already paying the guy behind the counter tried to get my husband to give him $100 in cash as a security deposit for “just in case someone smokes in the room”. We told him we’d put it on our card, and he tried to insist we go to the ATM behind us to pull out cash because it would take a few days to refund the money back to a card. We said that would be fine and that we wouldn’t be getting cash out, and suddenly, the need for a “smoking deposit” disappeared. When checking out, nothing was asked of us if we gave a deposit or not so beware before giving cash money to someone for a “smoking deposit”.

We stayed at this property for a family reunion, I was a little hesitant because it wasn’t even a four star hotel, but since it was for the reunion I went with it. Well our room at first glance was nice. The bathroom toilet looked like it hadn’t been clean in years it was like moldy, the wall in the shower was peeling. We had two room, in my moms room her toilet didn’t flush. (They did give her a new room with a working toilet. )The pool looks like a swamp! I don’t think they ever cleaned it, it wasn’t clear water at all. The main lobby bathroom did not get maintained for the 3 days I stayed. There was no paper towels to dry your hands and one of the stalls ran out of toilet paper. I would NOT stay again.

On the outside this hotel seems very updated and tidy. The interior is somewhat run-down and old. The third floor room we stayed in was clean but the paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was coming off and there were water stains. The refrigerator had not been cleaned out from the previous guest. The curtains were dirty, there were cobwebs in the corners of the room. The elevator had a very bad smell to it, like it was dirty or had been previously used to store trash. The complimentary breakfast was as one might expect. It was not fancy but it was pleasant for what it was. I would probably stay here again, but I hope I don't need to.

We stayed 4 nights during Kentucky Derby week. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet even though we were right next to the elevator. The free breakfast was good with typical continental fare and hot scrabbled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were best if reheated in microwave. Our room was cleaned each day with fresh towels. This was the lowest priced hotel we could find during Derby week and we enjoyed our stay. Easy 20 drive to Churchill Downs parking.

This is an overpriced hotel for what you get. There was no one at the desk when we checked out to tell them everything. One of our beds seemed broken. It was sunk in so I assume there were broken springs. The pillows are tiny and awful. The pool room had several tiles missing. Our shower was piling and had mold. The hallway carpets were up in a lot of spots. The sink had cracks. Half the outlets didn't work. The furniture was breaking down.

I live on the road and stay at hotels many times a month. I reserved the room online like I always do. While checking in I was told my booking was declined. I was told I had to repay for the room and put down a $100 cash deposit. I decided to book a different hotel next door the same way and had no problem. This hotel is still charging me for the night. I stopped by the next morning to make sure I wouldn't be charged. I was told to call my online booking and when they called the hotel they would tell them the hotel made a mistake. When they called they said I was a no show and charged me.

The pictures of this hotel are exceptional…. though that is not the reality. The rooms and beds are what I would expect from a lower quality, cheaper motel. The pool water is murky. The staff is unhelpful, borderline rude. Don’t try calling with questions, you will not be able to get through. Before we arrived, I tried for more than 3 hours and kept getting hung up on. When we arrived, there was a huge line and nobody at the front desk for 30+ minutes. Bring extra pillows. The ones you will find in your room are sofa sized and when you ask for an extra one, they will tell you that they are “out of pillows”. Not an enjoyable experience for $200.

The pool is inside and murky!!!! The location is decent if you have transportation. There several restaurants and 1 gas station/ convience store in walking distance. AC works great, breakfast. Everything appears clean and quiet. Other then the pool. Only 2 luggage carts for patrons.

Booked a hotel room online, two Queen beds for around $100 on a Wednesday night. Notated we would not be there until after midnight. Showed up to the hotel at around 4am. We had been driving since 2pm the day before, and just needed to get a few hours of horizontal sleep. When I walked into the lobby, no one was at the desk and there were signs stating they were busy with other guests, and that I should call “0” on the lobby phone if I need assistance. There was no lobby phone. After waiting loudly for 20 minutes, I called the hotel from my cell. The phone was answered within 2 rings. Clearly the employee had been sleeping in the back. She then came out and tried to check me in. First, she couldn’t find our reservation, then called her manager. Finally she found our reservation but then my card “wouldn’t work” for the room we booked. So she offered to book a whole new room, Just a king bed. She told me it would be $196 BEFORE tax! Uhm no. The room I booked is still available and $100 less. I’ll be in this room for less than 8 hours. Told her I would not pay that and I would have to leave. She did not offer any other resolve. She didn’t care at all. Bottom line, don’t book here. Book literally anywhere else! The quality inn next door was lovely, affordable, and clean.

If you're looking for a clean, well maintained and friendly hotel look no further! Do yourself a favor and check in at the Country Inn and Suites. Bottom line best hotel in the area for the price. You can find a friendlier manager who goes above and beyond. They genuinely care about they're job and it shows. 7/5 stars.

I found BLOOD in my hotel room. When I requested a housekeeper, none came, so I requested an early checkout. Finally after this, the manager and housekeeper came. The hotel requested feedback, so I gave my honest feedback. Nearly immediately after I gave my feedback, I received a childish response from the owner, who I clearly hurt his feelings by expressing my concern for finding BLOOD in his hotel room. He was unprofessional and immature in communicating with me after I gave my feedback. Also, he seemed unclear to know which guest I was, as he said "clearly it wasn't a big deal because you came back later to check in." After finding BLOOD in my hotel room, you couldn't pay me to stay there, so I absolutely did not check in again. I wonder how many other guests found blood in their hotel room if he confused me with another guest?

January reservation: Top notch. The manager accommodated a early check in for me. The room, service, everything was above and beyond. February reservation: I made a mistake and booked comfort inn. I couldn't cancel that reservation. So I booked again with comfort inn, I don't regret it. This place is clean and well maintained. I refuse to stay anywhere else locally.

Staff was excellent to work with our Special Olympic group during our stays for tournament weekends, offering anything we needed and ease of checkin/checkout. Very personable and friendly staff to make it enjoyable!

My family and I stayed for a week and everything about this hotel is awesome! All staff I encountered were professional, attentive, keen, and friendly. Our room, opting for a 2 queen-beds, were exceptionally clean; everything worked well in the room and the room had a mini fridge; microwave; coffee maker, and fully stocked with coffee items; the hallways were quiet, as well as all neighbors; and the house cleaner was very friendly. There is a clean, indoor, heated pool; a very nice lounge area in the lobby with a fireplace and seating for 5 people; they offer a continental breakfast on site, as well, which was well-maintained and the staff member opened on time with everything placed out and ready; also a coin operated washing machine and dryer available, on site for paid guests; an ATM onsite by the front desk; and a computer, with internet connectivity; and lastly, a printer, as well. The location of this hotel is convenient, being located right off a highway; there are many restaurants within a mile of the hotel; as well as gas stations within a mile; and the closest grocery store was within 5 miles while the closest WalMart was approximately 10 to 15 miles away. Overall, my choice to stay at this hotel, the Country Inn off Kentucky Mills Road, Louisville, while visiting my family, was an excellent choice and made my visit stress-free and all-the-more memorable. Thank you guys! Much appreciated, y'all!

The rooms a little dirty. And the pool was insanely cold and one of the reasons we picked it but couldn't use it was so cold.

I had a reservation book through Expedia for 2 nights, with notes that Said I could check in anytime. They refused to honor the reservation and demanded I pay for another night. After talking with Expedia and my company. I am an motorcoach operator that just wanted rest before I left just hours away. They put me out 1 whole day before my reservation was supposed too. They horrible to deal with. I ask that Nobody ever goes there again. They need to be shut down.

We got to the hotel room which we booked because of the pool , but pool was dirty. We then had to move rooms because ac didn’t work. We ended up in the king suite which the mattresses were rock hard. Finally no syrup for the waffles for the free breakfast which was very scarce. Will not be coming here again! Also, the whole hotel smelled like smoke. 🤢

First, let's talk about the beds....bed-o-nails might be more comfortable. The mattress provides zero cushion from the springs. Second, the service. While everyone was pleasant and helpful the night shift desk clerk did two odd things. Any calls to the desk from our room rang busy? There was clearly something going on in one of the rooms on our floor - an adult party that involved some chemicals that inhibit higher brain functions while minors were present in the room. The kids - under 10 - clearly had minor supervision and were screaming, jumping, hitting the walls, crying, and turning up the TV until 4 am. No calls were placed to the police. All that was offered was "we won't invite them back" was the only corrective action offered. Forgot the best part, there was resort roach in the room. Hopefully I don't get any bedbugs from this trip. And the non-smoking room was clearly been smoked in, gladly not enough to cause an asthma attack but I needed to keep the window open in the winter!!! Won't be back.

Most of this we found out the morning after as we went straight to bed after a full day of driving, but: We were told the "suite" was the last available room, but the parking lot was not even halfway full? There were light bulbs out in our room. The bathroom fan did not work. The jets for the jacuzzi did not work. The TV didn't even have a remote. The mattress had multiple stains! What about this experience was worth over $200???

OMG, can I pick them. Bedroom windows were broken, not the glass, the vinyl frames. Would not latch and would not seal shut. And extremely dirty. Hope it wasn't mold. Welcome to the getto..I'm all about the big thumping speakers, but not at midnight! Seriously, starting at 6 am again? But hey, kids running up and down the halls all hours of the night. Nope... never again here. Way overpriced.

Broken washer, rooms not cleaned well, pool cold. Haven't checked gym out to see if equipment is still broke. Guests slamming doors at midnight for a hour

King bed super firm. The pillows were terrible, they are throw pillows not for a bed, super hard and uncomfortable. A “DO NOT DISTURB” sign would of gone a long ways, the cleaning lady tried coming in 3 times before check out. Lock the door for unwanted guests.

Great location but the rooms, especially the bathroom in our room could use some work. The breakfast is good and there are plenty of options to choose from. We came for the Kentucky Derby and there were snacks each night and ice cream after the derby. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Not good. Breakfast is 6:30-9:30 am every morning, even on weekends. That means if you come down at 9:10, most of the food is running out, even the watered down waffle mix and the coffee is nearly empty. Coffee is not refilled until the next day. If you are still eating at 9:30, they will shut the lights off on you and put up caution tape to prevent others from entering or leaving. The hotel has not been updated. Plaid curtains with multicolor striped comforters and lime green headboards adorned our room with dents, dirt, and holes in the walls. They won’t clean your room until the third day and they are reluctant to give additional towels. I am giving it 2 stars for the comfortable bed and linens.

This place has the kindest and most helpful staff I've ever seen at a motel. The rooms were very clean. The whole place smelled so good. The breakfast was always great. They treated us like family . Its less than 15 min from Baptist Hospital .I will stay there in the future and I'll advertise by mouth to everyone I know. It's nice to know people still treat people the way they do. Oh, and the coffee is great!! Thanks!

Very clean, spacious rooms. Clean hotel lobby, hallways, & breakfast area. Breakfast had a great variety & many hot items. Would stay here again. Great price point.

It's a bummer that the hot tub was filled in with concrete. Would have been a nice way to relax. We were happy with our stay though. Nice rooms , and a harassment free check in

My daughter and I stayed one night here and for the price it was nice. We were on the top floor and the very end of the hall so we didn’t hear a thing and slept very well. The bed was comfy but it was disappointing that they gave us 4 small sofa size pillows for a king size bed. My daughter wanted to swim but the pool was as hot as a hot tub and so cloudy you couldn’t even see the bottom 🤮 Overall, for the price, we were happy, other than the pool. We also received a text saying if we needed anything to let them know, so I text asking for a toothbrush with no response for 12 hours! We went to Walmart because no one was at the desk to ask for one. I know everyone is having a problem keeping help, and clearly that’s the case here too.

The only reason I’m giving this two stars is because the bed was comfy, the pullout bed wasn’t awful for my son, and the tub was actually clean. Other than that, it was disgusting. We hardly let our so. Get off the bed when we were in the room because the bottom of our feet were black after walking around for less than 5 minutes. We were literally only in our room for our son’s nap and to sleep for this reason. Besides the tub, the bathroom was disgusting - the floor didn’t look like it had been cleaned in forever, my husband saw a bunch of dust around one of the outlet covers and being in the HVAC industry he looked behind it and there was so much buildup that I’d used too much it would start a fire. The A/C unit was SO loud - was missing 5 screws on the return and sounded like an airplane taking off every time it fired up. One of the windows didn’t close/lock so you got extra noise and I draft from outside. I never ever leave bad reviews, but this place needed one. Especially after how much we spent a night to stay here. PLEASE address these issues.

There's a ton of hotels in this area very close together. Parking was not the greatest. Continental breakfast and gave quite a few different options. The lady that worked in the morning at the front desk she was amazing and very helpful. The guy at check-in kind of had an attitude when we checked in. They tried to tell me that I had to pay $100 room deposit fee when I got there and that was not mentioned when I did my reservations online nowhere did it tell me that I had to pay a deposit fee when I paid with a credit card and book online. They did not have any towels in the pool area any of the times that me and my son went down there so we had to take towels from the room. Our room did have a fridge and microwave and our room was very well cleaned. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

When I tell you the breakfast is ridiculous I mean absolutely ridiculous! I got down to the breakfast at 8:30 no food I had to go find the staff and ask them to make more food. I seen them make the eggs in the Microwave from a bag, the sausage was cooked in the microwave from a box, the biscuits was dry and hard as a brick! like this has to be one of the worst breakfast ever. I travel to hotels a lot the only place that has a decent breakfast believe it or not is Best Western Premier. They have fresh fluffy eggs, sausages, bacon, parfaits, fresh fruits, bagels, creams for the bagels, different types of yogurts, muffins, cheese for your eggs and everything you need to make breakfast tortillas and much more!! like this place here has taken the cheap route and my sausage look undercooked before they put them in the microwave to cook! And I don’t even like sausage but that’s the only meat choice here!!!! Breakfast starts the day please get it together or I won’t be using choice hotels. I’ll be back to finish my review after I go get breakfast from somewhere else!
