Yesterday I purchased my first (first new) Rolex. With the help of Hank and Skip, I can say my experience could not have been better. Though a watch enthusiast, I am not a collector, and certainly not a ‘flipper.’ This was a big purchase for me, and I will probably wear this watch for the rest of my life, almost daily. I am consciously aware that relative to most of Davis’ clientele, I am a little fish. But, I was at no point made to feel that way. I want to thank them for realizing that this was a significantly personal experience for me, and they made it memorably meaningful. I am local, and prefer to shop local when I can, it definitely paid off this time. I look forward to their ongoing high level of customer care (as needed) in regards to service and maintenance of this amazing timepiece.

Sara Mathis is that rare combination of being fantastic with people and extremely knowledgeable about her art and the diamond world. She led us through a wonderful process of resetting a diamond in a new ring uniquely designed by us. The technology is amazing but it was Sara who was key in bringing our new ring to life!

From the band and setting, to the perfect stone. The whole staff helped to get it altogether and sized in a short notice due to the timing of a perfect proposal. We went to several different jewelers at a variety of price points around the city when shopping for my husband's wedding band. Then in person provided a consultative review of options. I learned quite a bit about the watch industry. I cannot recommend Davis Jewelers and Skip enough. It’s been my dream to own a specific Rolex model for years, and when I went in to inquire, I had a great conversation with Skip about the model and the brand as a whole. I had imagined it to be intimidating, but Skip is extremely welcoming, kind, and very pleasant to have a conversation with while actually wanting to get to know you and form a relationship. We had a great experience with Davis Jewelers and highly recommend them! We have a vintage Rolex watch which needed repair. We tried a jeweler in Lexington, much closer to where we live, but they were not helpful or interested in answering our questions. Davis is THE place to go for a nice watch in The Louisville area. They have an excellent selection including: Otis, Longines, Grand Seiko, Rolex, Tag Heuer, etc. and the employees are also very knowledgeable on the offerings. All in all, I had a great experience, found another great piece for my collection, and intend on coming back in the future for my next time piece.

Ashley helped me find the right design for creating a pendant which combined my wedding and engagement rings with my late husband’s wedding band. Well, he kept my watch for two months, NEVER serviced it, and gave me a price of over $700 if I wanted to leave it with him again. This guy is a piece of work. I would be willing to take a lie detector test to prove this all true.

Ashley Davis is Amazing to work with! My mother passed away a couple of months ago and left me two rings. I originally went to Genesis Diamonds and asked them what I could do and the lady took one look and said she could do nothing with them and didn’t even ask my name. Most of the stuff members were friendly, but there were a few that acted very snooty. I dropped off a ring to resized. They did a great job, they had it done in two days. Their security guard (an off duty police officer) wasn’t very professional. I hope they don’t pay him much to lay down in the chair and yell at people as they walk in.

Skip at Davis Jewelers made my first experience at this store fantastic. I decided I wanted to buy the new Tudor Black Bay Chronograph to commemorate my wife and my 10 year marriage anniversary. Like any new Tudor Black Bay, nobody knew when they’d arrive or even be available in stores. I called the day after the announcement of this new watch and Skip answered. He doesn’t just sell watches, he enjoys them as much as anyone else and we talked about different models, movements, etc... long story short, he shot me a text when he got one in and I picked it up with a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Was engagement ring shopping in Louisville and Davis Jewelers was the clear winner for me. All of the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I worked with Skip in particular, who bent over backwards to make my experience simple and my decision easy. I called Davis looking for a watch that is not easy to find in-stock and generally requires a waitlist. I would think that the staff would grow tired of these types of calls but I spoke with a nice and professional fella, Corey A. He gave me the info I was looking for and invited me to come in so we could work toward getting the watch I wanted. The next day I visited in-person and Corey was extremely professional and more than willing to spend time with me even though a future sell would be months away (wait list.) Ashley helped us design a pendant for a necklace from wedding bands her mother left her when she passed from pancreatic cancer. The pendant is a ribbon style to reflect her battle with cancer. They set the diamond in the ribbon and we added four amethyst stones to balance the pendant and color for pancreatic cancer. It turned out to be a very beautiful piece of art my wife will enjoy and pass down to our girls. Great job in design and craftsmanship by Davis Jewelers.

We have been so impressed and have been treated fairly and honestly since then, that we don’t purchase fine jewelry anywhere else. From my husbands formal watch to several anniversary earrings, rings and even “push presents” for the delivery of our six children, we have always gone back to Davis with confidence. We have over the years upgraded my wedding ring to a more impressive ring and Davis jewelers has always given us an excellent trade in value and a generous deal on our upgrade. We now live in another state, but still only do business with Davis! Recently, Heather, a store team member, listened to my vision of what type of ring I was looking for, and immediately made that vision a seamless reality. Very welcoming. Good communication in assuring that he (Skip) clearly understood what I was wanting. Skip was very knowledgeable and helped me find the right gold chain to securely hold my medallion. The jeweler needed to make a proper size bale to attach the medallion to the chain. I was able to pick my necklace/medallion up the next day. Service was superior In all aspects. I highly recommend Davis Jewelers for all your jewelry needs and/or wants!

I recently went to Davis Jewelers to upgrade my engagement ring and turn the diamond on my original engagement ring into a necklace. Ashley, Cory and the rest of the Davis Jewelers team were amazing to work with. Very knowledgeable and patient with me while I asked a million questions throughout the buying process. I love Davis Jewelers. The people who work there are great to work with. What’s nice is they allow you to explore and decide on what you want and are very helpful when you have questions. I have designed multiple rings with the help of Chris and Ashley which turned out better than I expected. Especially when you have family items that you want to incorporate into new creations. I also worked with Steve when I needed a watch. With his help I was able to select the perfect watch. They do a great job in making you feel welcome even when you just come in to browse.

Steve and Corey A are awesome. I made a purchase of a Tudor watch, but on the ride home, I changed my mind about which model I wanted. They were more than happy to accommodate me. Additionally, while waiting, Cory and I engaged in a phenomenal conversation about Grand Seiko watches (which they carry). It’s clear that they both are very knowledgeable and passionate about watches and I would absolutely love to do business with them again on my next watch purchase.

Steve @ Davis Jewelers was extremely helpful. I was buying a watch as a gift, but I was unsure what I was looking for. After telling Steve the attributes I wanted the watch to have, he showed me EXACTLY what I was looking for. . I went into the store wanting earrings. I had worked with Liz in the past and found her to listen, really listen, and then work with me to try the selected items. I wanted something good for casual everyday...dog walking, gardening etc. We walked the cases and she patiently showed various earrings until I found the ones that best fit my need (want). My husband and I recently went to Davis Jewelers as first time clients to upgrade our wedding rings so that we could incorporate heirloom diamonds that were extremely special to us. Heather welcomed us as if we have known each other for a long time. She was very easy to talk with. She had great ideas and listened very well to our wants and budget. Heather along with the custom design team worked closely with us to create two very beautiful and stunning masterpieces. Heather was easy to work with. She gave us her professional ideas to consider to further accentuate and make our dream wedding rings come to life. Heather walked us through the entire process from start to finish. She regularly communicated throughout the entire process to keep us in the loop during the waiting period for our rings to come in for pick up. On pick up day we ran into what could have been a huge deal because the sizing was just a smidge too small on my husbands ring. She immediately reassured us it would be fixed and jumped into action to make sure we could be taken care of that day. Heather was able to speak directly with Dale, the goldsmith in the jeweler shop on this day, and Dale agreed that he was able to get my husband's ring resized at the spur of the moment while we waited. You don't get this kind of immediate action and professionalism everywhere. Going above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy and satisfied, even in the event when unexpected issues arise, like the sizing not being what it needed to be to fit over my husbands knuckle. We are extremely thankful for everything Heather did for us from start to finish. Neither of us had ever designed custom jewelry. From the moment we walked into Davis Jewelers, we were welcomed with smiles, we were never made to feel like our budget was too small, we were never pushed into anything we couldn't afford or want. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants custom jewelry and or designer jewelry. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. For 18 years, Davis has taken excellent care of our wedding rings along with any other needs that have come up along the way. They have done everything from repairing watches, resizing rings, they once cleaned a fountain pen for me, and they even managed to clean my engagement rings after an unfortunate incident involving fiberglass. More times than I care to admit, I have presented them with a head scratcher, and they always found a solution. They are by far among the most professional and skilled jewelers in the Louisville area and they are committed to the long-term care of your most precious and sentimental possessions.

I had a really great experience today. Just recently I purchased a late-model Longines watch online and I needed it fitted. I went to Davis Jewelers and was immediately, and warmly, greeted by every person I came across. Skip approached me and asked to help. He then looked at my watch and made the adjustments on the spot. He gave me some info on a new watch that is coming out and was extremely kind about it. I really appreciated his level of service. Not pushy, extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, and all around nice guy. As I left, every person spoke to me and told me to have a nice day. I left feeling like I just had a great experience. I had the absolute best experience at Davis Jewelers. I took my wedding rings in to see if they could be remade. One of the rings had gotten bent and the prongs snagged everything. Another store charged me for repairing the prongs. I’m not sure they did anything except take my money. I didn’t know what could be done with them. Molly Schweizer was amazing! She was so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She worked with the on site jeweler and came up with a plan. I could not be more thrilled with my new rings. Thank you Molly and Davis Jewelers!

I just happened into Davis Jewelers while visiting my son and daughter in law. I wanted to buy a very nice timepiece for myself and we found this store—so glad we did. Talk about customer service! The floor man, Jay, greeted and serviced us—what a wonderful experience. I had not planned on purchasing a Rolex, but that’s what I bought. He was so knowledgeable! I felt like I’d met a new friend!

I’ve worked with Davis Jewelers for years. Everyone there is helpful and whether or not you’re working directly with them, they each treat you like you are the most important person. Ashley goes above and beyond and has taken care of me as if I’m her biggest client even though I’m am most definitely not even close. Erica has remembered me every time (even though I’m there maybe only once every couple years) and makes me feel like family even though I’ve never worked directly with her in a sale. Their inventory is spectacular and if they don’t have something, they’ll find it or design it for you. They are fair with their prices and you feel as though you got a great deal for a beautiful piece every time. My fiancé got my engagement ring from Davis jewelers and Steve helped him custom design the ring and bring my dreams to a reality. When it came time to buy our wedding bands, Steve helped us both find our dream wedding bands and was so kind throughout the process. I truly cannot say enough good things about my experience with Courtney Sparks and the Davis Jeweler team! I came to Davis Jewelers after going through the extreme disappointment of falling in love with a ring at another store only to find the ring was no longer available to be customized because the designer had retired. I then looked at several larger stores in town, had no idea what direction I wanted to go, and all made offers to recreate the ring I loved but with very high sales pressure. In fact one store who advertises all the diamonds in the world, only showed me 2 stones before requiring a non refundable deposit to show me any more. Frankly, I expected Davis to be a similar experience but it was not. From start to finish my experience was a breath of fresh air. Courtney was beyond patient while I said no to dozens of beautiful rings until I found my show stopper by Noam Carver. Hank worked diligently to find the perfect diamond and Ashley took all the stress away, assuring me that my custom made ring would be as perfect as I imagined. Davis jewelers went over and beyond to repair my watch. The watch was a gift for my retirement and was not purchased from them however they accepted the task to repair a very damaged watch.
