My dad used to shop here years ago when I was a kid and I never really thought twice about it. I have recently started shopping here in the past couple months and recommend anyone to come here. The shelf’s are typically stocked. The employees are nice and helpful. Only issue I’ve had with Meijer is the meat. I get my meat elsewhere but overall it’s great.

This Meijer store is where I do the majority of my grocery shopping. I am there so often that some of the employees feel like family. Marilyn is a greeter and she's the best! She is always smiling and willing to lend a helping hand. I most definitely recommend shopping at this Meijer store.

I have mixed feelings. The produce (among other things) is higher quality than where I usually shop. That's why I went today. But they clearly aren't paying their employees enough because nobody works there! There were no carts inside. I had to go back to the parking lot and get one. And they only had 2 cashier lanes open and a huge line for self checkout. Half the self checkout machines were off. I waited in line far too long to ring myself out, and then was questioned at the door for my receipt. If you all want me to work here and I have to check myself out, and wait in a ridiculously long line for that privilege, I'll need you to trust me. This was my first time visiting Meijer for my own shopping. I probably won't come back. Good products but terrible customer service (none) and negative overall experience. Three stars for meh. Good products, but I'm not going out of my way for it again.

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin with Meijer? This store has quite literally changed my life. I remember the first time I walked into Meijer, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options. The aisles seemed to stretch on forever, each one filled with an endless array of products. It was like a treasure trove of possibility. But as I wandered through the store, I began to realize that Meijer wasn't just any ordinary store. No, it was a veritable wonderland of delights. I was amazed by the fresh produce section, with its crisp, colorful fruits and vegetables. The bakery section was a dream come true, with rows upon rows of freshly baked breads and pastries. And the deli? Let's just say that I have never tasted such heavenly meats and cheeses. But it wasn't just the food that drew me in. Meijer has everything you could possibly need, from clothing and home goods to electronics and toys. The prices are always reasonable, and the customer service is top-notch. In short, Meijer is a true gem. I can't imagine my life without it, and I am forever grateful to have such a wonderful store in my community. If you haven't yet visited Meijer, do yourself a favor and go now. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Went to Indiana for the holidays purchased a television for 199.00 ended up not wanting the item brought it to this store to return it product was never opened gave them the receipt they opened the box to make sure all was there they verified that everything was there then they said he couldn’t return it because the other store where I purchased it made a mistake when ringing it out, receipt still showed price I paid for television but I guess it was rang under a different department but still the receipt was for that item they said they couldn’t return you that I had to drive three hours away to return it now the box is open and they might not return it, at the original store if I decide to drive three hours to return the item. I’ve been in customer service for many years as a general manager/district manager I would always take care of the customer it’s a $200 item I’m not going to make the customers drive three hours away for mistake that our company made I will rectify the issue here in the store I would apologize to the customer for the inconvenience instead of telling this customer, sorry theres nothing we can do we opened your box and you now have to drive three hours to return it … Very unpleasant feeling that I have to pay the consequences of someone at a different store for the same company and they could not take care of me as a customer and rectify the mistake that the other store made because it’s the same company.

Many thanks for exemplary customer service to Glenn who assisted me in locating a box that would fit the baby foods I purchased at Meijer for my daughter in California as the shelves are all empty. Glenn helped me pack the box and tape it up to secure it and then I went to the USPS counter in Meijer where Debhora helped me mail the box. From entering the store being greeted by that big beautiful smile from Mr. John to the manager I spoke to on my way out, your team of professionals are the best I have experienced in Louisville since moving here four months ago. Thank you.

Meijer has always been my favorite go-to grocery (and everything) store since I was little. I'm so glad that I have one within walking distance here in Louisville too. It never disappoints. My 1 year old even loves coming with so he can run around and push the cart. The workers are so friendly, they always say hi and talk to my little one too.

I love Meijer. Their selection is somewhat different from Walmart and Target 🎯 The staff is subtle but nice. You’re pretty much on your own… lol. If you’re like me, you’ll get lost in the massive selection.

They are beginning to have too many empty shelves and products not in stock. Wanted dei fratelli tomato sauce and non to be found on the shelf. Need distilled water and they were empty!

Terrible experience.. went in for 4 bags of frozen vegetables bought them through the you scan. Got to the door old lady in wheelchair stopped me to check receipt fine.. but when she looks at receipt accuses me of stealing and scanning wrong items since the receipt said frozen mixed vegetables and didn’t even look in my bag to see I only had frozen mixed vegetables.. thought I was stealing because I’m younger and didn’t think I would buy frozen vegetables I guess.. Your job is to check fine. not assume and accuse

Never have I ever EVER in my life been so disrespected and left feeling as violated as I did this night. The general manager aka Sargent Slaughter was combing the floor for any last minute shoppers and I witnessed her verbally attack a girl telling her that's enough put it down I'm closed , I'm closed I said you need to exit the store , well what about what's in my cart ? Wow. Then she sees me already headed to the front of the store and made sure I kept my pace and stayed in front of her with thee meanest look I've ever seen. Then as I'm in the self checkout line, the rest of the machines manually shut down so the employee instructed me to switch over to lane 12. As I'm rolling my cart out of the self checkout area to head to lane 12 I hear a voice yelling from 25 yards away SIR WE'RE CLOSED I SAID WE'RE CLOSED! I turned and in disbelief asked are you talking to me? She replied, UH YEAH, WE'RE CLOSED!! I never lose my composure but I was close, I said back, I'm switching over to lane 12 like I was *@#$*!$! Told to do, is that okay with you ??? The employee in self checkout immediately said it's okay sir don't listen to her she doesn't know what she's talking about. Wow. As I left I asked that lady if she had an apology for me and she looked at me in shock and said for what ?!? Unbelievable. Only thing I can't believe didn't happen that night is I wasn't charged a late fee for checking out after closing time. The general manager should have never been appointed the position nor sought out a job in customer service or any job that involves interacting with the human race.

My wife and I are both seniors and only shop at the best places for us. Meijer is one of those places. We shop at the Meijer on Hurstbourne. It is close to home, clean shopping areas, carries all the name brands, fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Large parking lot that is clean and shopping carts kept out of driving lanes. Every employee seems to enjoy their jobs because I've never talked to anyone that didn't smile back at me and talk politely.

I rarely, if ever, shop at Meijer. I live between 2 different locations and neither is convenient for me. However, with the recent formula shortages, I had bought some formula at Meijer. It was the only place I could find it. My new baby ended up able to go back to breastfeeding so I had some unopened formula to return. Naturally in the fog of having a newborn the receipts were thrown out. The employee at customer service went above and beyond to return them. I was so impressed with the customer service and I got some groceries while we were there and loved the produce and meat departments. There was also a great selection of baby and kids clothing.

Store was clean, mostly well stocked. But Betty the checkout lady is the SLOWEST cashier of all time. It took her 13 minutes to checkout the person in front of me, I timed it.

I love going to Meijer when I'm near one and have time to browse. You can always count on finding something a little different than the other guy's! Oh and the pet Halloween costumes were great.

This location gets very busy during the day, and you can tell the associates struggle to keep the shelves stocked during peak times. As a result, things like milk can be out of stock.

Been shopping here a lot of years...my most recent visit has me wondering if they will be closing in the near future......empty shelves all over the store....some of the shelves in Automotive section have been empty for months. Has a Sears/ Kmart feel to it....those stores experienced the same thing in the months prior to closing for good.

I love meijer!! Helpful employees, easy to find stuff. Just lovely everyone I go there (well almost). I never walk out mad though. Only if I don't have enough to get what I want, other than that, they have everything and I love it there.

The sales have gotten ridiculous and so much of a time waster... to have to stand there and read the fine print and make sure you have exactly the right thing or 2 things to get the sale price. Or the sales of buy 4 and get $2!off your 5th...I just want 1 gizmo thank you. You're a grocery store not a game show. Just give me a price and let's move on.

Edit: my rating has dropped from 5 stars to 3 because of how often I am profiled here. I'm tired of you guys following me into the bathroom and pretending to pee because you're nervous I'm going to shoplift a 5 dollar item. It's stupid on every level and just makes me not want to spend money here anymore. Why don't you spend your time more wisely and get on the phone to fix your plumbing? This is probably my most favorite department store ever. I love that they have really big trees for good shade in their parking lot and the parking lot is huge. They have three bathrooms around and that's one thing I always hate about shopping is when you got to go to the bathroom and the restroom is all the way on the other side of the store or you got to walk around all four corners looking for it and get lost. That doesn't happen here. They have really good selection and pricing in the grocery, pet and sports sections. I've really looked at anything else liked their clothes but I imagine it's probably just as good. I love that they don't have the stupid one way people-counter turnstyles in the front like a lot of other places around town do and just in general a lot of things that are not as annoying as the other stores. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that they've taken out a lot of the stuff inside of their hot bar. I wish they had pizza again.

It's Better than Walmart because they have some food that I prefer that other grocery stores don't have. The self check out is a pain and if you have a problem with scanning they don't have somebody to run and look at the price they expect you to do it. What happened to customer service I miss it.

The store seems to have enough workers but just so. Might need more people working there. The floors look old and remind me of Kmart before they closed. They do their best with what they have. Just seems like they're not putting much effort into updating besides putting in self-scanners which I see as a way for the company to try to make more money by not having to have so many employees scanning people out. Just hope that the employees get paid better because of this ability to work with fewer people.

Very disappointing - went to pick up order that was pre-ordered and it was not ready. Spoke to supervisor next day and found out it had been available after all. Found out the things I wanted the most were out of stock - cancelled the order completely. I'll give them that they did give me a credit for how much I spent on dinner. Would have rather had the cash as I'm thinking I'm not going to place another order. 🤷

I stopped in for a bouquet of flowers. Only to find you have to build your own bouquet now days. That's fine if you have time, however when you are in a pinch for time it is very inconvenient. No vases to be found in the store.

This is best Meijer in Louisville! The employees go above and beyond to help me with shop and scan coupons. The inventory is excellent and food is fresh. I love this store and will drive from st. Matthews to shop. Highly recommend!

Everything I needed was available & most was on sale! A nice surprise was running into a friend I haven't seen in several years. Chris works in the Bakery & seeing him, getting to catch up with Chris, made up for there being no lemon bread available!

I love the variety of options here. There is always plenty of produce, international options and it's typically quite clean. You can usually find good sales on popular items as well. Easy to park and get in and out with self checkout.

If this meijer doesn’t have the best clearance section I’ve ever seen … parking for tractors (maybe not trailers unless you park on the side of the store). A great produce & deli section. Lots of stocked items & great sales & did I say clearance?!? I’ll absolutely return to this store if I deliver in the area again.

The 1 checkout lane that was open, for more than 20 items, had a very pleasant cashier, Jenni. Unfortunately, there was 5 of us waiting in line with full carts. Why should a customer be "punished" for buying more items? All of the self-scan-up-to-20-items registers were open.

  • 4/5 Gregory Earl A. 1 year ago on Google
Great place for produce. Awesome selection. I don’t normally shop this store, but the cashier’s were very good. I had chosen a water to go from the cooler and it was not very cold. The cashier noted that and hot me a colder one. That was so nice of her!

This facility has several devices along the back and side walls that apparently stay extremely cool, even in hot weather. This allows them to store and sell various foods without them spoiling. I really appreciate this innovation

Meijer has always been a go-to but recently with the shift to online I feel they have been behind. Customer experience online should be priority in 2022. In-store experience is great, most of the staff is friendly and helpful.

  • 4/5 Rebecca F. 1 year ago on Google
I like this Meijers! The produce is usually fresh and well stocked. The store is clean and aisles are wide for shopping. The greeters are friendly and we like the self checkout. I can't always find an associate to help but other that we like to shop here.

Came to the store to buy a speaker. I needed to have the display unlocked so i can take the speaker to the register. Cashier was very kind and called THE MANAGER to assist me in electronics department twice. I waited for 20 min! No one showed up to open the case with speakers. Cashier offered to call again but you know what this was the end of my patience. Wow, if a manager is unreliable I don't know what else to say...

I visit this location quite often. Since Kroger started closing at 10:00 and Walmart at 11:00 a lot of times I need something late at least they stay open till midnight and I can usually count on finding what I need. I do realize that all places are having problems stocking their shelves but Meijer for the most part stays fairly well stocked. My only complaint is they need to work on their canned cat food because they never have any hardly at all. Some of the pet supplies are scarce or they have none at all. Other than that as far as having what I need I can usually trust that they have it. It's easier to get in and out of Meijer especially at checkout. The only real complaint I have about checking out is late at night before close they usually only have u-scan open and if I'm picking up a lot of items that is very inconvenient. They don't have the best prices they are a little pricey on a lot of their items but the convenience and the store layout are very comfortable

Love this Meijer store. Good quality chicken and lamb meat available. And they bake great cakes, cupcakes and other bakery items....

When Meijer runs out of items due to an ice storm or really bad weather and everyone is coming to do their shopping they need to keep their shelves stocked and stop leaving shelves empty I came to shop for groceries today and just about all of the whole grocery section is completely empty! Meijer needs to do better!!!!!!!!
