If you’re looking for someone who actually understands tattoos, how they age, and what will look good, Patrik Carter is your man. If you’re new to getting tattooed, remember, you’re going to an ARTIST for their ART. If you can’t trust his opinion and experience, there are plenty of tattoo machines you can buy on Amazon. He makes great tattoos and clearly loves what he does.

Highly recommend if you are considering a tattoo. The shop itself is very laid back and welcoming as well as the staff that works there. Patrik Carter my tattoo artist is the absolute best! Very friendly, Professional and talented. Great experience everytime!

Got tattooed by Patrick and love it! Having gotten tattooed in 20+ shops around the world, I have worked with artists of all walks of life and with different personalities, and its rare to meet someone as genuine and kind hearted as Patrick. Not only did he make me feel heard and respected, but his table side manner was the right balance of communication and quiet focus when we both wanted that. I will absolutely be back to Tattoo Salvation for more work, and encourage anyone thinking about either their first of 50th tattoo to give them a call.

Got tattooed by Patrik, for my very first tat he made the process super simple. Explained everything to me and answered any and all questions I had. Session was very professional and the work he did was fantastic.

Staff is rude and condensending. I went in inquiring about a touchup, and I’m not sure if it was my age or what, but they were incredibly rude and dismissive with me so I left after trying to get a quote and set an appointment which never happened. I would never recommend these people to anyone. Talent is important but customer service is the most important.

Impulsively decided to get my first tattoo ever while visiting Louisville. This was the first tattoo shop we saw and decided to give it a shot. Very pleasant experience. I have bad anxiety with needles and they were very patient and understanding. They gave me candy and water and let me lay down instead of sitting in the chair. The apprentice also helped me with my breathing to calm me down which was really helpful. They also sent me home with an instruction card on how to take care of the tattoo. Overall, really good first tattoo experience. The shop was very clean and had a cool environment. I also loved all the flash designs on the wall!

I have never been to a more professional and kind tattoo shop. Everyone there was so nice and friendly. I have been there two days in a row, and definitely plan on making this place my go to tattoo place.

Hot mess express. I tried scheduling with Alex a few times and couldn't get a response back. Then tried with Adam and couldn't get a response. Called and spoke with Jesse and explained the trouble I had getting in contact with the artists. He then put me on his schedule. Then Adam responded (as week after sending the inquiry) to schedule. Jesse then called to tell me that his schedule wouldn't work anymore and I should just schedule with Adam for the same day and time. Tried to do that and Adam's schedule wouldn't let me put it for the same time but instead made me schedule for 2 hours later. Called and left a message for him and was told I'd get a call back to confirm if he'd be able to do it for the same time I had previously. Never got a call, but instead got an email that it was confirmed for 2 hrs earlier (my original time I wanted).... Come day of tattoo and I get there at the earlier time. Waited like 30min and asked the other artist there if they could call him. He does and Adam tells him that he has me on his schedule for the later time but he could head that way and would be there in 45 minutes. At that point I was annoyed and quite frankly, done waiting and being shoved around. Downtown has a enough tattoo shops that I was able to get worked in somewhere else and was being tattooed before Adam even said he'd be at the shop by. Long story short, they're unorganized and I don't have enough patience to deal with a hot mess express.

Such a good shop! Went into get my first tattoos with Alex Sublett, his table side manor was great, he helped everything go smoothly. And I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! See for your self they came out so rad!

Sounds like their piercer needs to be in more though because there were a lot of people coming in for piercings and I would've purchased some jewelry. ;)

This was the best piercing experience I've had by far. Ryan was helpful with any questions and offered additional tips and advice but the biggest perk was the staff was friendly and fun to pass the time with. Would recommend to anyone looking for piercings!

The shop is super clean and has a very professional and friendly staff. I really enjoyed working with Kenny on my Medusa piece. He was open to changes and took the time to answer any questions I had to make sure I was completely happy with the end result. My finished Medusa looks DOPE and I'm very happy! Highly recommend!

I absolutely love the tattoo Jesse designed for me! He was very quick to respond to my request and was respectful and professional. Everyone I've shown has also loved the tattoo, I would definitely go back. The price was very fair as well.

Not sure where my previous review went, but ---- Adam is amazing. I had an old tattoo that I wanted covered up. He came highly recommended and after our first sit down I was very comfortable with his vision. He turned my idea and to a true work of art. Very reasonable pricing and fantastic attention to detail. Also - pay attention to him about after care. It's been 3 weeks since I got this, and I have had no issues and only very slight peeling. Thank you!!
