Went in at 11pm due to some chest complications, got checked in and did blood work and was left to wait in the waiting room for hours, is almost 3am and still not gotten a room or talked to a doctor! Went at the front counter to ask for a blanket and the clerk said that they do not give blankets to self walk ins, only to patients that come in with the ambulance get blankets? Can someone explain what’s the difference between coming in a ambulance and walking in ? Both sick, both humans! Never again I’m I coming in for any matters at this hospital!

My wife had an appointment at 6:00 am with surgen to repair a broken bone in her arm. At 6:45 am she is still waiting to be registered. I was rudely told that I would not be allow to leave the hospital lobby, while watching other couples go to the second floor waiting room. The person at front counter of the registration office is the rudest woman I have ever spoken to.

If they say it's a non smoking facility then why are all the nurses outside smoking but heaven forbid a patient does. I had a couple nice nurses though. Although both my arms are bruised from where a few couldn't get my blood.

I am going to be 100% honest. It felt like we were walking into a court house. Metal detectors, 5 security guards and they have fans in the doors so loud we could barely hear the woman at the desk to check us in. It was smaller than a McDonald's dining room. Bathrooms were locked even though no one was in there. We had to park in a garage and go through that building, back outside, across the street into the ER. It was not clean and they weren't sanitizing anything at all. Not even the chairs after each person got up. My husband messaged me that the nurse said it was okay for me to come back to ask the woman at the desk. I did and she opened the door. I asked the nurse sitting on the right where to find his room and she said, "are you allowed to be back here? Who said you could come in here? And I pointed past the five guards to the woman at the desk and she let me in." She told me that I had to be escorted by a security guard. After we got up to the hand specialist people were a LOT nicer, it was clean, and the people had amazing customer service. The doctor was amazing. I cannot believe how much security is needed. There were 3 incidents alone we could hear loudly on walkies asking security for help. One lady called four times in a matter of two minutes she sounded out of breath and no one ever acknowledged her back on the radio. I feel really sad for the people who work in that department and have to deal with the things we saw and heard. Again, once leaving the actual waiting room and getting to the hand center we had an amazing experience.

How do you alow a patient to walk home when your government gives you ride share vouchers to get home .unacceptable for such a big hospital. Great hospital and doctors, poor decision skills.

As a patient, doctors did not consider my concerns and they stopped several important medications when I was admitted. If this is the best Louisville has to offer then I feel like I don’t belong here. This hospital was great once.

Can get busy, but the staff are upfront about the wait time and the care provided is on point.

A hospital that has no idea what a priority is. I understand having a busy, crazy night, but this was just ridiculous. I was in to test for any positive cultures in my central line, as well as to check the severity of my low potassium. This woman wouldn’t give me the time of day to hear ONE yes or no question. I asked her this after watching her talk and laugh with another patient that was low priority, so I thought I could just ask a simple question. Literally the excuse she gave me for why she couldn’t listen to my question took longer than just answering it. I then gave up on her and asked other employees. And they all called her to coke answer my questions and STILL she wouldn’t answer. I wish I had gotten her name. Shameful. Absolutely shameful service. I have more respect for some doctors that have gaslit me than I do for her. I hope they feel ashamed after what my labs ended up being.

I saw the reviews on here. We came to visit someone in ISU. They were nothing but nice and compassionate. From when we got out of the car, until we left. Where I'm from the hospitals we have. It's hit or miss with being helpful. Mostly miss. We live 3 hours away and that was our first time being there. I wish it was closer so I don't have to deal with what we got here.

😠 Honestly pretty disappointed and upset in the level of care I received. My mom works for Norton and I thought the standard of care would’ve been better than this. I had a pretty significant head injury and was experiencing nausea, dizziness, light/sound sensitivity, and head and neck pain. I waited...

👍👍 I can’t thank the staff at Kindred Hospital Louisville enough for all they have done for me. The wound care that was provided to me has saved my arm. 😠 This rating is based on the current situation with banning family from entering the ER. Look, I get it…we’re in a COVID world. That said, banning even vaccinated & masked folks from the protections of being indoors while family members are being treated is unacceptable. Zero places for most famil...

😠 This used to be the ER of choice for me, but after what I have just experienced I will gladly take my business elsewhere. They not only left me sitting in the lobby for 4hrs, but after 10hrs they send me home with a recommendation to make an appt with my neurologist as soon as possible... This was...

😠 Waited 5 hours to be seen with only 3 other people in the waiting room. Was constantly lied to, being told it wouldn’t be much longer. Doctor spent very minimal time with me once I was seen.
