Waited 5 hours to be seen with only 3 other people in the waiting room. Was constantly lied to, being told it wouldn’t be much longer. Doctor spent very minimal time with me once I was seen. Had to walk extremely far after parking, because they have construction going on and did not accommodate patient parking. The best part of all was getting my bill, only to realize they charge way more than Baptist does. My bill would’ve been half the price had I gone to baptist. I encourage everyone to avoid Norton at all cost! Even if it’s closer than Baptist, it is well worth the drive to avoid Norton Hospital.

I got there in severe pain and while I was sobbing in the lobby the lady behind the front desk was joking and making small talk with some cops that were there. Finally after a while of being in the lobby crying she got to me but because im quite young i wasnt taken very seriously, and in front of my face she asked a nurse in training if she wanted to do my vitals because my condition "wasn't very severe just basic problems." Keep in mind this is the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. When I finally got in the ER everyone helping me was very very nice and considerate, but the front desk was really disrespectful and rude, and she wasn't really helping me with my emergency.

TERRIBLE, waited 5 hours only for them to ask me to pee in a cup n gave me wait 2 more hours . They rude and VERY unprofessional. They will leave ya sitting out in the hallway for hours only to get mad when ya ask what’s the hold up . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ! Especially if ya in real bad pain cause they will look at u got two heads . I’ve seen them remove a patient out of his wheelchair to give to sb else * the patient had a broken leg , that ya could clearly see was broken n didn’t even offer him a chair just walked away . If I could give them zero starts

The wait wasn’t too long, especially since we were stable, but the people at the front desk of the ED were rude, uncompassionate, apathetic, dismissive, unprofessional and did not bother to even listen enough to gain a basic understanding of why we were there. We had surgery that morning and, several hours after discharge from the OR, had concerns about the catheter not draining properly. The triage nurse responded by giving us a cup and asked us to pee in it. We decided to put aside the staff’s indifferent and inattentive attitude but when we noticed that everything at the front desk, waiting room, patient rooms, nurses’ stations and bathrooms were dirty, messy and not even fully lit, we decided to leave and go to the ED at Norton Audubon instead. The wait at Audubon was a lot longer but we were stable so that was understandable and with the drastic difference we experienced at Norton Audubon ED, it was well worth the wait there.

I had a lumpectomy with a drain tube inserted.5 days later it had quit draining & it was beginning to hurt. I went to HCH ER with no results so the following day I went to Norton's, where I'd had my surgery. They did MORE than nothing......they didn't even change the wet dressing around where tubing was inserted into chest. Totally unacceptable. The "room" I was put in was nothing but a cordoned off part of the hallway by drapes. My back was to the windows of the nurses station ....which had no drapes!!!! Very unclean, with streaks & stripes on floor...scuff marks on baseboards & hallways. Very UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!

The wait was not very long to be seen. The atmosphere could use some refreshing. Staff was courteous.

I spent maybe 6 hours in the ER last week due to some severe back pain. All of the staff were very professional and compassionate. I overheard many conversations between staff and patients and was very comforted to hear how professional and sympathetic they were with everyone—even the meth addict who was clearly there looking for drugs.

WOW! Today my husband and I drove downtown to the Norton ER. Because my husband was told by his cardiologist to go to the ER if his symptoms persisted we headed to that ER. We know they have an excellent cardiology dept. The ER gets 1 star. Let's start with GETTING to the ER. It took a little time to just get to the right level in the parking garage. Once we were there we went to the door marked Emergency Room. It was locked. So we walked to the double doors and were greeted and asked the reason for our visit. After getting tags we were told to take a right then a left and another left to the elevators and then press LL. We walked down a long hallway to a SMALL waiting room. I had an uncomfortable feeling walking into the room and not because of the sick people waiting. There was a policeman with his kevlar vest at the entrance to the room and another officer not more than 15' from the first, who was talking to a third police officer. There were about a dozen people seated. My husband had to ask a woman sitting behind a desk at the counter where to check in. She pointed to the left. And this is what really riled my husband. When he went around the corner he said to the man sitting at the desk "i need to check in." And the man replied, "There's people a head of you" Then my husband had to ask the man if he wanted my husband's name. My husband gave him his name but we decided the process was lacking and we left and ended up at the Norton ER on Brownsboro Rd. whis was a completely positive experience.

Worst experience ever. Stay far away. The people at the main entrance are incompetent and so are some of the doctors. They ask the patients for advice as if they went to medical school themselves. You’d be better off doing it yourself using “operator” board game pieces.

I went to an ER doctor and she kept me there for 6 hours only to give me Mucinex and high blood pressure medicine, knowing mucinex makes your blood pressure go up. That was in Louisville, KY. I will go to one, when I return back to TX to see what they say.

Thank you Norton Hospital for taking care of my daughter. She was treated and cared for in less than 3 hours. Twana provided good nursing service. For good ER service stop by Norton's.

I was in a car accident.. went in to get checked out and waited for over 2 hours, the doctor spent not even 30 minutes with me. Made jokes when you could clearly tell I was not okay. Didn't seem to take me seriously at all. Gave me NOTHING for the pain while I was there. Prescribed me Tylenol.. which I have at home and already said didn't help. He said if I was his daughter that what he was saying to me would be what he would say to her.. I now have to wait to see my own doctor Friday in order to be taken seriously and actually get something to help the pain. I have an almost 2 year old. I can't be in pain like this. I went here because my husband was allowed to come in with me and I thought I would get treated better. I was wrong. I arrived in pain, sat for over 2 hours making the pain worse and then left in even more pain than before. My blood pressure was also high but God forbid they even tell me and give me advice on how to lower it. I had to find that out from my discharge paperwork. Absolutely insane. Next time I'll just stay home and hope for the best.

You won’t allow children in your emergency room, but you’ll allow roaches ?? Disgusting! Oh I just had to leave without being medically discharged because my kids were not allowed in my room. I was glad to see your policies against children when it comes to their parents trying to seek medical attention. Before I never had a bad thing to say about Nortons but now I will never return to your emergency room

They got me in very soon after arriving, the staff was extremely nice and caring. After going to another ER a couple of times they were able to do more test and have a Doctor speak with me. The visit was short, sweet and very informative. Thanks to all the staff I saw today.

My experience at nortons was the best experience iv ever had in a hospital i recently had to go to nortons after going to 2 different hospitals and 1 immediate care 20 hrs waisted.for them to tell me they can't do it I needed an ear nose and throat doctor to perform the procedure I have a disease that creates absesses in certain areas of my body this one was pressing against a nerve on my face and the er staff on duty 10/4/21 killed it they did took the right steps and was very friendly and not 1 person was judgemental of my condition I would recommend avoiding any other hospitals as I will be

Took my sick mother with undescribable pain, same day we came from Baptist health in Elizabethtown Kentucky they couldn’t do anything for my mother as soon as we took her to Norton Hospital, they took her in immediately they took the pain away from her they checked everything the staff was very very professional and very nice I can’t thank them enough, i’m never going to take my mother anywhere else other than Northern Hospital thank you doctors thank you nurses for all the hard work, and thank you for taking good care of my mother ❤️❤️❤️

😠 Honestly pretty disappointed and upset in the level of care I received. My mom works for Norton and I thought the standard of care would’ve been better than this. I had a pretty significant head injury and was experiencing nausea, dizziness, light/sound sensitivity, and head and neck pain. I waited...

That said, banning even vaccinated & masked folks from the protections of being indoors while family members are being treated is unacceptable. Zero places for most famil...

😠 This used to be the ER of choice for me, but after what I have just experienced I will gladly take my business elsewhere.
