My pup & I enjoyed our visit to petco. Normally we'd shop at PetSmart but since we were in the area we just wanted to go in to see. First things first the staff was very friendly & I don't know if it was just me but the store did not smell like a pet store at all which I appreciated alot. The downside though are the prices of the products which are alot higher than what PetSmart would list them as if I were being honest. For real though I found a doggie sweater I bought at Petco that was on sale for 50% less at PetSmart. But what really brought my rating down is that there were certain products I couldn't find at Petco like my dog's food Biljac. I'd just think for a pricy pet store they should really expand their inventory to match their competitors.

We brought our dog in and had a horrible experience. The grooming was fine, great. But the way we were treated wasn’t acceptable. Melissa or Melinda is terrible when it comes to customer service. It was clear she didn’t want to do the grooming, looking for anyway to turn us away. Making a huge ordeal of not having vaccine records though we did, for good measure we pulled up the same records on our phone and she said okay that works. It was the same record, insanity. Then she was critical of the last time we brought our dog in for grooming as if it matters. She spent the entire time making us feel small because she apparently is omnipotent when it comes to animals. We take great care of our dog and love her. To go to a place where we are made to feel small simply to not work is a joke. She did great with the actual grooming and we are grateful but we will never ever bring our animals in for help. I would invite everyone to go somewhere local. You won’t get the service you deserve.

Charging a 70year old on a set income in the 3rd poorest state in the country for plastic bags to carry the merchandise she purchased out of the store is just shameful. Petco you should be ashamed....👎

Rachel and Gage are WONDERFUL!! They went beyond and above to help me with multiple orders, and then went to pack my pickup order...I recommend this location...they're customer service is The Best..we have adopted two kittens from this location about 1 month ago...This Petco has a wonderful collection of food for all pets..and prime pets to adopt..🥰🥰🥰

This Petco had the most knowledgeable employees I've ever ran into at a pet store! About all different types of pets. And even if one doesn't have an answer, they work as a great team to find you what you need and give advice. I will go out of my way to go here if one of my pets need anything out of the ordinary food and daily supplies.

My 11yr old daughter excitedly picked out two fish for her new aquarium. Twenty questions from the worker to buy the fish. The worker repeated 5 times, I need to upgrade my aquarium in the next few years to fit the fish (OK no problem). The worker then brought in other employees to echo and still weren’t allowing us to get the fish. I asked if they preferred not to sell it to me (mind you a goldfish for my child) and if we should go somewhere else to buy it and the employee said we should shop somewhere else. Meanwhile, they had 4-5 tanks with dead fish sucked into the filter. Not returning here again.

29 gallon Aqueon gallon tank I purchased tonight has a large crack and hole in the bottom corner. When it was on display, it was holding a 10 gallon tank inside, so couldn't see the bottom. As I also purchased two ten gallon Aqueon tanks in the same purchase, the staff just kept the 10 gallon inside and we never looked at the bottom. The man who checked my purchase was very helpful and helped me load the tanks into my car. I had no issues on way home, and two people carefully brought into house. That's when we saw the large crack and hole in the bottom corner. The tank says it has a 5 year warranty and to return to dealer if a problem. I called immediately, within 30 minutes of purchase and was told by a woman at the store that they have a strict policy to not take any tank returns and that it was my responsibility to inspect the tank thoroughly prior to purchase, and that there was no warranty. This is in contrast to the policy on returns that is listed on their website and the warranty sticker on the tank. This is very frustrating, I was so excited about finding this new pet store in my area.

Shannon at the Townfair store was most helpful with suggestions and recommendations for our things we should have for our new puppy. She was knowledgeable with all the different brands of dog foods and we purchased exactly the right products. She is far and away the most helpful and knowledgeable associate of any pet store we’ve shopped. Thank you Shannon.

Did you know you can return your UPS product here? Drop it off, and they will take care of it. It's painless; just go online and select it as the return location. Sent th QR code to your phone, Show it to them, and they take care of it, no box, nothing. Great job!

Online sight is not user friendly. Tried to change the store location for pickup but would not update on checkout page. Also checked box to apply $5 reward but did not apply and the full charge aS placed in my cc

The store was clean. The associate was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We don’t often get out that way but really enjoyed our visit.

Petco has the cutest pet clothes. More importantly, if you want a plastic bag to carry purchase the proceeds, go to Petco Love! I will always take plastic and recycle at home.

My girlfriend, who's been dealing with a horrible family emergency for over a week now, was waiting outside the store for a long time in the morning because the doors were locked. When she was finally let in, the staff blamed her for being so late to her grooming appointment. On top of that, they were extremely rude about not grooming the dog off an appointment that had been scheduled for over a month, stating he was matted. It was made very clear from the jump that this woman had absolutely no interest in actually grooming the dog and instead of offering solutions, the employee was very cold and rude. Now the dog can't get booked anywhere in town for several months when he is desperately needing grooming. Keep in mind that all this is happening while we are in complete distress about a family emergency happening at the same time. Do NOT give your business to this soulless corporation. They do not care about customers or their pets here.

I enjoy this store. It's smaller, which is good for someone like me who can't walk much. Great selection, friendly and helpful staff as always. I can't comment on the services offered since I haven't used them such as the grooming or training but I have not ever heard any complaints from the neighborhood.

The girl in the reptile department was very helpful and very knowledgeable about reptiles!!! They had great looking wax worms and a range of reptiles. I was even able to find sweaters for my cats!

Great selection of treats and the store felt very clean and inviting, albeit very cramped. Normally I go to PetSmart which definitely feels more open and comfortable but slightly dirty. Will probably make this my regular per supply store.

The groomer was extraordinarily rude and they did not cut my dogs nails, which was supposed to be included in the bath. Please, do not bring your dog here to be groomed. I was overcharged, as well.

My dog puts up a fight whenever I try to give her a bath and trim her nails. I decided to start taking her to professional and they did an excellent job with my Shiba Inu. Definitely will continue coming back here again!

Very clean. Walked in to a cat coming down the aisle. He/She was super friendly. Stopped and played down to be petted. Didn't bother me a bit.

First day I visited, was okay but the next day I felt rushed. Then when I brought my kids in, I found more pets than my children did. The crab I wanted was dead floating upside down and I was disappointed. They were out of the fish food I wanted and then suggested something new. So I guess it was alright... Sad that I wasn't able to surprise my babies with a new pet for Christmas.

If your pet is older or has any issues with their legs, hips, joints or standing for long periods, don't take them to Petco grooming. They will not groom your pet and they won't tell you until you arrive.

While busy, the attendant found time to talk to me about the Crested Gecko I intended on buying. I wish I could remember her name. She answered all my questions, helped me pick out accessories and made me feel more confident in the extensive research I did. So happy with my purchase and buying experience

Great store for animal food selection and animals for purchase. Not so great selection of animal toys. But lots of harnesses and grooming supplies for every type of animal. Decent prices and big parking lot with wheelchair accessibility.
