Nice walk to Big Rock yesterday in Cherokee park ! Peaceful trail. Beargrass Creek is lovely. Nature and it’s beauty.

Everyone seems nice. There is parking on both sides of the creek. Grassy area to sit so you can bring picnic supplies. There are some tables but not many. Plenty of area to wade in and the big rock area has a rope swing so people swing off and jump from the rock. And swim a little. The water is NOT a deep enough place to dive tho.

It’s a beautiful place to visit. Even better if you can get there when there aren’t many people. It’s a super popular park and sometimes you can’t find any parking in the lot. People leave their trash, smoke in the creek, smoke weed in the parking lot, let their dogs run loose, and play their music so loud that it blasts the the entire park. I know it’s a public park, but the lack of consideration from other visitors is what bothers me and keeps me from giving this place five stars.

I absolutely love this park. My boys swim, hike, and explore here. Its a great place to bring them every day when the weather permits!!!!

Beautiful Place for a family picnic 😍

Great family friendly place! Beautiful scenery I love this part of Cherokee park. Sweet watering hole deep enough to swim, waterfalls where you can just put a chair down and sit back and enjoy the sounds of nature!! People just need to pick up after themselves and the Park needs to have some majorly detail clean the public restrooms here. They are disgusting!! Daughter wouldn’t even use the bathroom there!! Other than that solid family friendly park to straight kick it year round!

Everything was an absolute blast... Except the restrooms. May have been in the shape they was from the large amount of people down there on this beautiful day, but if I had to guess they looked like they haven't been cleaned or stocked in weeks. Overall was a fun time with the family as always.

Didn't even stay 5 minutes! There were broken bottles everywhere in the water, one of us almost immediately had our fingers sliced open by it so bad we had to wrap it with a bunch of gauze, almost deep enough to need stitches, a whole tire was thrown in the swimming area, used condoms in the water, people with loud music, the water wasn't very deep to jump off the rock like it leads you to believe, it was completely trashed and disgusting. Would not recommend.. can not express how disappointed and disheartened we were. We're not from the city either so it was a long drive just to get a finder gashed open. :'(

Beautiful and fun atmosphere. Friendly people. Clean wonderful water to swim in. The rope is sooo fun. Waterfalls are beautiful. Clean and lots of picnic tables. Love it here.

A nice park, with a good size creek to explore for all ages. Kid and adult approved.

I've been bringing my son and then grandson here for the last 40 years. Shame on you for taking the rope swing down.
