This was the worst service I have ever had before. We were told we could sit anywhere, and then after we sat they brought us the menus and asked us what we wanted to drink so we ordered our drinks. However, for the rest of the time we were there, they never approached our table again and instead both the waitresses and the man behind the bar just all stood at the bar and stared at us. It was the most uncomfortable dining experience we’ve ever had. They never came over to our table. The couple that came in at the same time as us, they took their order and they received their food and in that time no one ever took our order. The restaurant was half empty. We ended up just calling the waitress over to get our check so we could just leave. We ended up going to the Grape Leaf across the street. Great Mediterranean food there and great service. First time ever going to cafe Classico even though we live right down the road from it. Never going to it again and will never recommend this place to anyone. We just do not understand what happened there or why the service was like that.

I have mixed feelings.. first I love a soda fountain drink.. they don’t have those but they do have Mexican cokes which are almost as good. Our table ordered the fries.. as an appetizer and they were some of the beat I have ever had. They come with 3 dips which my friends enjoyed. I had a delicious panini! There was a group of 5 of us and mostly everyone enjoyed their dish but one friend ordered a soup. She was anxious for me to try it as I was not familiar to that soup.. it looked very good. Well it was cold and it wasn’t supposed to be cold. So she reluctantly asked if the server could heat it up which the server was happy to do. She got it back and it was still cold. So rather than ask again she just took it to go. I would come again. And I believe my friends will too.

The coffe was delicious. I gave a three because the process of seating, ordering and paying is not clear. We walked in and they said hello and nothing else. So we walked up to the front and I grabbed a menu and we decided to sit to look over it before ordering. They then brought us water and another menu then walked away. We figured out what we wanted but were unsure if you walk to the front to order at the bar or if they came to you as they brought us water. 5ish minutes later they came and asked what we wanted and we ordered. While waiting other people walked in and also stood at the door unsure of what to do . They did tell them after a few minutes of awkwardness thy could sit anywhere. They brought our coffee to us and say they would be back to check on us. They never did come back.We finished our coffee's and as they had come to us we assumed they would bring check as well. After 15 minutes of sotting finished with our coffee's my husband went up to the bar and they did not say a thing just took the card and gave receipt. Great coffee, but unclear directions on if it is sit down or self serve. II would suggest putting a seat yourself sign out and a pay here sign.

I had a birthday dinner at this restaurant three years ago. The food was decent, but we were a party of four placed at a small wobbly table, and the wait staff stood around and never cleared our plates during the entire meal, and didn't check on us to see if we needed anything. A guitarist was performing in another part of the restaurant, and we wondered if the staff simply wanted to get rid of us and focus on that other part of the restaurant, but didn't tell us anything. Because the service was inattentive, I never went back.

Good atmosphere, food good, fish, not delicious. Coffee good but it should be for the price. The dessert was delicious caramel Gelato 2 scoops $8. No free refills on soft drinks. Waitress was good as she was the only one for the whole front room. I realize help is difficult to find. I would return knowing how they play the game nowadays.

Such a cute atmosphere and amazing offerings. As a cook, i don't like to eat out, nobody does it right. These folks have amazing recipes that are simply delicious! I had soup that blew my mind.

OUTSTANDING! Henry had Argentine street food...and I had a layered salad. Both delicious. WE'LL BE BACK. PS: This place is the same owner as CAFE EMPANADA. Which is also wonderful!

This [lace doesn't disappoint. It's got a great cafe atmosphere with a lot of extra items on their menu to make this a great place to eat. Gourmet coffee, beer and wine and a big selection of Gelato (my favorite is pistachio), along with a great menu.

I absolutely love coming to this place! Updated 2023 It has changed a bit over the years but in the best ways, the floor is designed a bit differently, the counters display darker wood for the counter tops but it's still just as great of a place as it always has been! I always love visiting!

No public wifi. No tonic water. What European cafe serves espresso without tonic water and wifi? Abort. Walk a block down the street to either Heine Bro’s or Please and Thank You

A hidden gem, and an obvious labor of Love for continental culture. You want: the Pomme Frites in their towering cone, and without a doubt try the Cafe Roma, the Goldilocks of Espresso Bar concoctions.

The service was impeccable, the girl who served us was very polite and helpful. We ordered the choripán, which was not what I expected. Also instead of putting French fries they put chips, which didn’t seem to match the menu or price. The pizza was phenomenal, a total delight! The salmon was very tasty, however, it was served with only two pieces of asparagus, and half a cherry tomato! I'll likely come back because there are still many dishes I want to try! But for the price you’d think they would give you more food/balance the entrees with the sides.

Excellent little neighborhood bistro with a Euro vibe. Eclectic menu including pizza and paninis with arguably the best coffee in town.

Excellent food, decent prices too. We both really loved it. I can't believe I've never been before, but definitely will go back.

I ate at cafe Classico for the first time a month ago. They had a sign on the door when we arrived stating they were closing early that day, they were closing at 3. So we went ahead and went in as it was was 2pm. When we walked in it felt awkward, we had never been there so we were just standing by the door while everyone stared at us from their tables. I had to ask the 2 young servers if we seat ourselves. I could tell they weren’t very busy, as there was only 3 other tables occupied at the time. Neither were welcoming by any means and it really just seemed as if they were annoyed and done with the day. I saw them stand around talking to each other and on their phones several times. We were never asked if we wanted anything to drink the entire time we sat besides the water they brought to the table when we first sat down. I ordered a fry appetizer and Caesar a salad with shrimp. The fries were good, but they are fries. When they brought my salad out they went to sit it down in front of me and there was chicken on the salad…gray chicken. It was not all the way cooked. I brought it to her attention that I had ordered shrimp anyways and not chicken so she takes it back. My friend even made a comment that the chicken looked undercooked or bad. She comes out about 7 minutes later with another Caesar salad with shrimp and as soon as she sat it down at the table the overwhelming smell of sour fish smacked both me and my friend in the face, it smelled so bad to the point it was making us sick. I figured no problem I’ll take the shrimp off. The issue with that was they never replaced the salad, just scraped the uncooked chicken off it and then put the shrimp back on. There was still chicken bits on the salad and the lettuce was warm and soggy. My friend ordered a panini and said it tasted like something you could get at Panera bread, just a basic tasteless panini. At that point I was just ready to go. I put the plate on the table next to us because the smell so bad. The server came and picked it up and didn’t even ask if something was wrong with it, as you could clearly tell it was not eaten. I am not one to ask to remove food items from my bill but when she gave me my bill, without asking if everything was okay, I went ahead and told her the salad was not edible, that’s why it was sat on the other table and kindly asked her to remove it. She did so without asking any questions about it. I grew up in Clifton and I really want to support local businesses, but my experience just made me never want to try again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The service giving by the teenager wait staff was fine, but the food was gross. I ordered the salmon and my partner ordered the flank steak, neither of our proteins were cooked well the steak was gray! The potatoes were barely seasoned, and we each only got 3 pieces pieces of asparagus which tasted burnt. I will never eat from here again, and I suggest you don't either.

Espresso is delicious without being too acidic. Other coffee drinks are amazing! And it's one of the few places in town that feels authentically European. Their fish and chips dish is insanely huge, haha. Everything I've had so far has been delicious. A kind stranger even paid for my drink last time!

This is regular place for the family, be it lunch, dinner or simply an espresso to get through the day. They offer a variety of items (which are all pretty good), varying from salads to sandwiches, appetizers, and entres. On occasion they do have special paella evenings which are always very good. My favorites are the Frites a caballo , steak and frites, any of their panini s , fish and chips or soups. And of course finishing it off with an espresso hits the spot. Tommy usually also keeps Chamay on tap (reasonable wine menu) You really can’t go wrong. Reasonably priced. Tommy and all the folks are very friendly and accommodating. Worth the trip. On a separate visit we had Tuna fish, a soup and salad option of seafood chowder and the Bocadillo, very good

Stopped in today to pick up a healthy lunch to-go. The chicken salad on spring mix was exactly what I needed. I'll definitely be back for more of their baguette, the slice that came with the chicken salad was a perfect addition. I was happy with the serving size, it was enough to get full and not feel stuffed. Can't wait to try their coffee, next time!
