My boyfriend and I have been regulars here for about 2 years now. This is the best sushi we’ve ever had and it never disappoints. Tonight we stopped in for a special occasion and our regular server Liani had the owner (?) come behind the sushi bar and make some of our food. They always go above and beyond in quality of food and service and give us the opportunity to try new things. Liani you are such an angel and treat us so well.

This restaurant used to be a FULL Japanese restaurant with hibachi before the pandemic, but now there are no hibachi items on the menu. We had a variety of alcoholic beverages with our sashimi. Everything tasted amazing, and the Udon broth at the end was very refreshing - another great dinner.

The sushi & sashimi were phenomenal...however the service could use a bit of work. We had to ask for a menu after sitting at a table for what seems like an exorbitant amount of time & our waitress was never around to refill our drinks nor asked if we needed anything until we got done eating. It cost $80 for the 2 of us and the quality of the food we ate definitely reflected that. I'd just wished that the service we've received had done so too.

The food here was great for my first time trying sushi. the fried rice and yum yum sauce are the best I have had. I'm taking a star away for the waiter taking forever to check back on an issue we had.

Love this restaurant! I especially appreciate the happy hour specials (everyday from 5 pm to 6:30 pm). Definitely recommend the V.I.P. roll (it’s one of the dishes that is set aflame by torch at the table). The servers are efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Definitely one of the best sushi places in town.

Wowwweeeee! The flavors here are remarkable and incredibly unique. I've never had sushi rolls like these. The service staff were wonderful and extremely attentive. This restaurant deserves every one's business. Absolutely amazing!

Some of the best sushi in town! Had a fun flaming dish as well that my date loved. Normally there is a wait on the weekend, but we loved sitting at the sushi bar that has the full menu.

I honestly didn’t think Japanese would anything besides eels and octopus but it was so much more than that. So many vegetation options. I never imagined salmon would go with cream cheese. I had the Philadelphia Sushi Roll and berry Fusion. I would so love to go again. This changed my opinion for Japanese food.

Still the king of Louisville Sushi! Tuna Tataki is the best I've ever had, and the roll selection is fantastic! I get the v.i.p. every time!

The hottest 🔥 place in North Louisville, if you plan on going leave now because this place will get crowded quick. All I can say this is a must visit if your within an 1hr you won't be disappointed. The food is amazing and fresh 😋 you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Like I ordered some Bulgogi Tacos...here me out i know im at a Sushi restaurant, when I tell you these were the best tacos ever bursting with flavor and goodness. The Sushi was amazing the whole atmosphere was inviting to see everyone enjoying themselves, this place is definitely a VIBE. So if your ever in the area I definitely recommend this establishment and I definitely recommend you go early 5 stars!

This is a great place to take family, friends, or an intimate date. The atmosphere is one of a fine dining restaurant but still chill enough to show up in sweats. This time, my husband and I decided to get takeout. At other restaurants that could be hit or miss. However, between the service and the food, it was still a 10 out of 10. Pricing is about average for sushi. So expect to pay about $30 for 2 rolls. Honestly, it depends on how exotic you want to go. Overall, I don't think you could go wrong with this place. It's definitely a must try if you haven't. *The only con I can say about this place is trying to find parking. There are limited spots in their parking lot. Other than that, you have to attempt the street spots. It's totally worth it, though. For reference, we got the surf and turf / smoked salmon.

If you are up for Japanese or sushi this is the place to go. A wide variety of sushi selections and the chef's specials posted on the board are the best. A lively atmosphere, with booths, tables, regular bar seats or sushi bar the choice is yours! The happy hour drink and food menu is outstanding! Week nights from 5-6:30. On our last trip we tried the "Highland" a fried sushi roll with crawfish! Surprisingly good! Also the chef special "Crispy, Spicy, tuna boat" the boat was a cube of rice deep fried to perfection. Topped with tuna, a slice of jalapeno and a dollop of roe! The Sriracha smear was perfect! A perfect evening out!

This sushi bar is and has been our go to place. The staff is so friendly, and the food is delicious. I always get sushi. The hibachi is a great option, and they always put on a show. This place is worth a visit!

This place has some of the best sushi in the city. Also we sat at the bar and the chef made us free sushi 🍣 I ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl and it was delicious. Fat chunks of fish served with yummy soft rice and greens and seaweed salad and other things. (See pic)

I've been to sushi/hibachi restaurants all over the country and this is the best. The attention to detail, the extremely creative and unique flavor combinations, it's all the best. From the edaname to the most expensive sushi roll

The BEST sushi in Louisville. Been coming here since high school. The tj roll is my absolute favorite, but I don’t think there are any bad options to choose from. The house salad and garlic edamame are also a must to start your meal with.

Warning: insanely overpriced!! If you are eating here, you are getting ripped off. I was charged over $20 for a simple unagi hand roll here at Sapporo. They gave me two, but they were tiny and not any bigger together than, for example, the far superior $10 Big Daddy Hand Roll at Oishii. Consider the cost of an eel roll at other local sushi restaurants: Ginza $6 Daisuki $8 Osaka $8 Oishii $10 Asahi $10 Sakura Blue $10 hiko-A-mon $11 And Sapporo...$14 (that's only with avocado OR cucumber, not both - both is $2 more, so really $16) So let's go over the extra charges: $1.50 for cream cheese (this is fine and normal); $2 to make it a hand roll (I was NOT told about this by the waitress - this makes no sense because a hand roll is faster to make than a regular roll); and $2 more to add a miniscule amount of cucumber, not even enough to feed a goldfish. I talked to the staff about how crazy expensive it was. They could not have cared any less. Also, their sushi just isn't very good. I regularly go to many of the sushi spots in town. This is the worst. Ultimately, I spent close to $25 for an itty bitty snack that wasn't even very good. I feel like the world's biggest fool for visiting Sapporo. Sorry, but I will never come back. I was supposed to come here for a dinner in March and already cancelled, as well as warned my friends about them.

Chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday and graduation. I will not be back. The service was lacking. At first our waiter seemed attentive, but then he just disappeared. We had to get our own water refills (we saw the pitcher next to our table) and to go boxes. Parts of our order were missing and he didn't say a word. Didn't give any explanation until we asked where our daughter's food was. I expected to have a friendly waiter who would acknowledge the two kids who were celebrating, but nope not here. Crazy enough, all the other workers were so nice!

The atmosphere is very busy and clean, with prompt, professional, and knowledgeable service. The sashimi was very fresh and the presentation was clean and beautiful. I enjoyed my evening here and will look forward to returning.

Went there for the first time Saturday night and it is now my top 5 favorite restaurants I've ever been too. Service was great but the sushi was to DIE for. My Udon noodles were amazing as well. Perfect place for a date night.

This was a very beautiful restaurant. Gave all the looks of an upper scale metro contemporary style building. The sushi was awesome!!!Unfortunately the main course was only ok and for the price should have been better. I ordered Hibachi combination steak(med) and chicken. It was all extremely dry and my steak overcooked. With everything that was good about the restaurant l would possibly try again, maybe right a 5pm the rice wont be old or overcooked.

The food was amazing. The staff was very kind and helpful. It was clean. A little on the expensive side but definitely worth it. The sushi deluxe was a main course. The tacos were appizers but were extremely good. The place is very popular so you will have to wait but its not a very long wait.
