Very nice hotel situated in a perfect downtown location. Brandy at the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating upon arrival. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with beautiful views of the city. Our first night, we enjoyed dinner and cocktails in. Kristian and Justin were friendly and offered many suggestions for must do’s while in Louisville. The drinks were delicious. Kristian is the best! The pool is not open nor is the rooftop bar. Those things should be advertised for booking.

SO close to a 5 star visit! What they do right: great location, rooms are VERY clean, VERY comfortable and any staff we encountered at the restaurant or front desk were friendly and tried to be as accommodating as possible. Side note, the wings in their restaurant were PHENOMENAL. The restaurant was definitely understaffed as the wait time for food was at least 40 minutes. BUT, I don't think that is typical, they were overrun with a huge crowd, so I would absolutely be prepared that could happen again, yet understanding as everyone was working really hard and apologetic. What they get wrong: no explanation or warning of an $18 per night self park fee in an unattended lot across the street. They offer valet parking where the prices is openly stated on the website and at the door (and uses the same unattended lot, btw). There is no mention on the website OR at the time of check in about this "self park" charge. We stayed there a month ago and had no such charge. so BE AWARE. I need to add that when I called to complain, they removed the charge. Hopefully, they update the website to reflect the charge ahead of time.

I have stayed at several Cambria hotels in different cities and was looking forward to staying at the Cambria in Louisville. The facility is very nice and so are the staff, however our stay was not. Our first assigned room was dirty. The restroom sink and toilet were covered in what look like dried blood and the pillowcases had make up on them. Our second assigned room was also not cleaned very well, there was food particles in the carpeted area and a dirty Band-Aid on the tile near the restroom. Upon taking a shower we noticed that there was no shower gel (the bottle was empty). I did not make a big deal out of it as it was already near midnight and we were very tired and wanted to get to bed. Then we were awoken in the middle of the night to a fire alarm going off. To make matters worse, a gentleman and his son were able to get in our room while we slept and when we called reception we were told it was housekeeping, while we were on hold while reception spoke to a manager housekeeping knocked on the door. It was not housekeeping who walked into our bedroom before calling reception. We explained that this was a man and his son.I spoke with the manager that day and was told that I would be getting a call back, haven’t heard from them. I don’t think I will be staying at this Cambria location again.

Rooms: Pros would be that they're extremely clean, tastefully decorated, with high quality linens and towels. Cons would be the sliding opaque glass doors to the bathroom and the lighting, which is either too harsh or too muted, depending on which light switches you turn on. Rooms right by the elevators (608, 609) are very loud. As soon as people step off the elevators, it sounds as though they're standing right out your door. Service: Front desk check-in and check-out staff were efficient and pleasant. We did not use valet service and instead parked in a parking garage about 3 blocks away for $10 overnight. Location: Booked a room here for the Kentucky Derby half marathon, and the location was VERY convenient, only 2 blocks from the start line. Overall, I recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel. Good price for downtown Louisville. Overall very clean and up to date modern rooms. My biggest issues were some kind of knocking inside the walls (sounded like water tripping) that would wake me up and the light in the bathroom would randomly come on by itself (sliding bathroom door is glass) which would also wake me up.

Great hotel for our stay! We came into town for a quick girls weekend and didn't really have big plans. We loved that this hotel was close to all the big attractions in Louisville and had restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is very clean and modern. There were many things I really liked about this hotel: - comfy beds - nice long couch by the big window where you could chill - full closet area - microwave and mini fridge so I could bring home leftovers - water bottle filling stations and ice makers - friendly staff - easy to use and safe feeling parking garage The one thing I didn't love that is important to me - privacy. No fan in the bathroom and you could hear a person BREATHING in there... not ideal at all. In addition we could hear people in other rooms having *a very good time*. Overall I'd recommend a stay here, especially if you had a room to your self or were sharing with a spouse. PS. I did not know pay for this hotel so I'm not sure how fair pricing was. My friend booked through her timeshare program.

The blinds were broke. The TV did not work. When notified, the hotel moved us to another room in which the blinds were also broken. Then, we left an expensive pair of shoes in the first room (because we had to move during our stay). We called the hotel back 4 days after our stay, and they acknowledged the items were left but stated they had no intention of contacting us to let us know. I'm glad we figured it out, but they were going to keep the shoes, even though they had our mailing address, email address, and phone number. DO NOT STAY HERE! Pay a few more dollars and go to a reputable hotel.

A hidden gem in the city. The rooms are modern, perfect and amazing! The location is near downtown Louisville so it's surrounded by different restaurants. The staff are professional, bilinguals and supportive. I had some comments on the cleaning but not major ones. By far one of the best rooms I ever stayed in, even better than the Felix and Lincoln hotel in Chicago ( double the price of this one!!) Also, I revisited the hotel again, and everything was perfect (not a single comment :))

Yes the Cambria is a win. Very clean hotel. Spacious room. Comfy pillows and beds. Friendly staff. Very hip and modernized. Lovely decor. I really wish they had food service but with their affordable rates I can sacrifice that. Lots of places to eat just around the corner.

Beautiful new hotel right in the heart of whiskey row. Walking distance to many attractions. The City of Louisville could have been more accommodating when we left. There was a running race outside our hotel and it was impossible to find an open street to get to the I65N ramp. Police refused to help when we stopped to ask. The front desk had no information about the race. Would have been nice to give the hotel a heads up for their guests.

They only got a lower rating because the beds were disappointingly hard & we weren't told we'd be charged for parking on top of our room rate so I didn't get a receipt for my expense report. The decor is beautiful, location is great, staff was friendly, bar was great. If there had been a soft bed this would be my go to Louisville hotel.

Stayed for one night, went to a local show. Overall I was very happy. Modern, nice room. Oddly laid out, king room bed faces away from the door not to the side or facing. Sound insulation between rooms was ok, but not great. AC split took awhile to cool the room, it would really tax it in the summer. Water pressure was ABYSMAL. The 2 restaurants on site are very good. Had dinner and breakfast there. Well priced. Bartender seemed to really care about the drinks she was putting out. Front desk staff were nice. Didn’t go, but the pool looked small but very clean.

Spent a couple of nights here while hitting the Bourbon trail. It was a great hotel! Private parking. EV charging on site. Bar/Restaurant was great but maybe service was slightly slow if you are in a hurry. Rooms were very clean and in good repair. Great place and will stay again if I come back to the area.

Bed very comfortable- firm. Room and bathroom spacious light, minimalist decor Darkening shade on window 👍🏻 Noise from hallway but otherwise quiet. Checkout at 11 am was great. Staff was helpful Restaurant & bar were nice, but chilly. Menu items were out of stock. Salmon dinner was OK, not great. Breakfast not included and was pricy but pretty good. Jackdaw

Rooms are wonderfully roomy, a very nice surprise given the central downtown location. A little confusing to find the parking, but easy entrance once youre in. Night audit was a little rude about our late check in, given the fact that I had already messaged the front desk about our late arrival, but no worries. I have to give it to Ellyn at the front desk. She is awesome, with exceptional service given. Made my entire morning to speak to her, and Darrell and Kris were amazing as well, with consistent communication and amazing customer service skills. Would love to be back!

Room was great. They upgraded me but I needed 2 beds as there were 4 of us on the reservation. There’s not enough parking on the property for guests. Option for the free breakfast we got was thru a restaurant downstairs connected to the hotel, someone really needs to learn to cook eggs.

New hotel in downtown Louisville. The rooms are very spacious and fairly priced. The rooftop lounge area is great for a very of the downtown area. There is also a pool and a few bar/lounge areas located within the hotel. The location of the hotel puts you within walking distance to many downtown attractions. Staff was extremely hospitable and the food served was delicious!

Really enjoyed my short stay at Cambria. I had initially booked a room that I didn’t like and they were kind enough to accommodate & get me a new one. The hotel is very close to downtown businesses. So you could just walk to your destination instead of driving. I like the fact that there’s a restaurant located on the second floor (lobby) & a café on the first floor. So getting some food anytime (before 10pm) shouldn’t be an issue. There are also a lot of restaurants near the hotel; And even better, there’s a breakfast restaurant (egg yolk) right in front of the hotel & even a jimmy johns. So the options when it comes to good are countless. & For those who choose to drive, there’s a garage/parking lot on site, which is pretty convenient. My room was nice and spacious with a view. Can’t really complain about anything. The only issue, which is totally out of their control, is the fact that, at night, downtown Louisville has this weird sewer smell. It’s so strong that you can smell it in your room from time to time. If you can, I’d recommend bringing a scented candle and lit it at night. Overall, I’ll 100% recommend this hotel.

Very clean, beautiful, and felt secure. Parking was easy for downtown if a little pricey but then again I'm not used to paying for parking at hotels and it's very common for downtown hotels in many cities. Check in guy was very nice and everything went smoothly. Beautiful room with an unusual setup but perfectly fine. Bed was comfy. Would have been nice to have a way to watch netflix or have a bigger selection of movies but that's a minor nitpicky thing. Just so you know, the tv in the king rooms is telescoping so you can pull it out and see it at a better angle than it's at initially. :) We forgot our toothpaste and they provided us with some for free. The bars are a good feature but I wish they were open later! I would stay there again.

We went on a whiskey tour I visited Louisville. The hotel is as clean as the photos and has perfect parking facilities. Hotel guests can use the parking lot using their room key. And you can find amazing restaurants nearby on foot. Next time I come to Louisville, I will definitely use this accommodation. Thank you❤️ 감사합니다❤️ -from south korea travelers

Check-in and parking were both easy and convenient. Staff was professional and very polite. It was a great, spontaneous Thanksgiving weekend shopping trip. The Flatbread (Margherita) and Caesar with Brussels sprouts..Delicious! I loved the decor and atmosphere of the bar/grill and lounge area. An overall splendid time.

Everything was immaculate and great. Lots of stuff in walking distance. My only "ding" was that it was pet friendly. That's a confusing thing for non pet people. We'll see how long their facilities stay nice with the four legged guests. Otherwise, it was fantastic!

I stayed at the Cambria for 2 days. It was right in the heart of downtown. It was in walking distance of everything. The rooms were very spacious and full of great amenities. It's definitely a place to stay when your in town.

My wife and I stayed during the Thunder over Louisville air show. The room was fantastic because we met one of my wife's friends and the suite was very comfortable and they spent hours catching up. Later that night we were able to go to the roof to watch firework show. Afterwards, we ate at the hotel bar/restaurant. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. I'm looking forward to our next trip there.

I stayed in a two queen room with my husband and daughter. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and an excellent view of the city. It was very clean, and everything in the room looked new and well maintained. The location was perfect for Thunder over Louisville. A negative was we were *not* informed beforehand we would be charged $50 for parking. Their website states $18 for onsite, but the hotel only has 20 parking spots so we initially had to park in a neighboring lot. The staff were very helpful and polite while we navigated the chaotic parking policies, though; can't fault them for management's poor decisions. Rooms feature "Bluetooth mirrors" which are novel but useless. It was a good attempt at a luxury touch by the property manager. The pool was nice for kids but a little chilly. The elevators are slow and require a key card. The hotel doesn't offer any breakfast or lobby coffee (it's provided in room), but does have two on site restaurants that are decent. Overall, the hotel is slightly overpriced for what you get, but makes up for it by being centralled located.

Gustavo and Juan at Magnum moon (the restaurant and bar) were super friendly and very accommodating. They had wonderful atmosphere, good chatting with them and drinks made perfect to my requests. Definitely reccomend this place because of their hospitality and wish I could leave higher reviews.

We had a standard room with two queen beds. We travel often and have encountered a number of things when it comes to staying at hotels; our stay at Cambria was one of the more disappointing and frustrating experiences. (Outside of the hotel's control) There was a metal plate in the road from construction and the sound of cars driving over it clanged out 24/7. Then we had to deal with a noise coming from inside the wall between bedroom and bathroom. It was a very loud click that would happen very frequently. Between the outside noise and whatever was wrong inside our wall - we barely got any sleep during our stay. Then we had to deal with the saddening discovery that for a hotel with two restaurants in it, neither offered room service nor did the hotel itself. These things together made for a disappointing stay at Cambria.

We stayed here last year for a cheer competition and the staff was amazing. They were short staffed and the room we were originally given hadn't been cleaned all the way. We called to see if they could come clean it and they immediately moved us to a different room, comped our parking and gave us breakfast for our stay. We just booked our room here again for this year's competition because the service was so awesome. The rooms are beautiful and super spacious! The location is incredibly convenient to everything and parking is easy as well. Definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Louisville!!

Great location downtown, within walking distance of a ton of restraraunts and things to do. Very quiet hotel. Huge beautiful room with great design for a great price. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Check out the bar at the Jackdaw on the ground level. The bartender is knowledgable and has great recommendations. I'll be looking for Cambria Hotels anywhere I travel from now on.

Good location. Modern, nicely appointed rooms. ...but the service of the staff needs a major upgrade. I was seeking a hot water station and the front desk staff told me to "Check with the bar. They might have it." Might? You don't know? The person behind the bar told me, "I'm not a bartender, I'm just cleaning up." Well, that doesn't answer my question. Found a third staff member in the lobby who finally told me, "No, we don't have any hot water available." Really? In a hotel, you can't scare up a simple cup of hot water?

Very nice hotel. Great staff and the beds are fantastic. The bar has many bourbon offerings. Small menu and our food was good. The place is clean and modern. Not a high rise. Breakfast spot nearby was good. Parking was easy but early arrival will get the best spot. Highly recommend for a nice, safe hotel.

This hotel was very nice, new, and clean. The staff was nice. The bar had good drinks, and it was a short walk to Whiskey Row. I loved this hotel!!! There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. My only complaint would be that the bed was not comfortable. Otherwise I would have ga e it 5 stars.

Really enjoyed our recent stay! The location is great to go out in Louisville, in walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The rooms are very nice and modern equipped. Breakfast was good, even with a couple small hiccups.

  • 4/5 Troy L. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel staff were very professional and friendly. Accommodations were clean and well organized. Location to areas of Louisville was very convenient and found several things to do at night. The only major problem we had was that we were not made aware that the hotel was pet friendly and there were animals free roaming around areas without a leash, including In eatery areas. Would definitely stay again if the hotel ever reversed it’s pet policy.

Rooms are spacious; customer service excellent. We had a suite; I closed the door to the bedroom and the noise level was drastically diminished. Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom was the 1st I had ever seen. Must have a key to access the floors with rooms; very secured building.
