Delicious cocktails, loved the bourbon flight, and Dallas and his team were outstanding. Very knowledgeable about whiskey in general and about Michter’s whiskys specifically. Can’t wait to go back for the bourbon Manhattan!

The drinks at The Bar were beyond exceptional and very reasonably priced. The experience was elevated by the attentive and knowledgeable bartenders, Dallas and Christie. They made our day very special. Thank you to both of them for helping make a memorable experience and one of the highlights to our vacation!

Annie May and Kiersten were great! We’d heard great things about the bar at Ft. Nelson - although it was hard to get into. Annie helped make a reservation for the bar around our other activities. Kiersten made great drink recommendations and Annie came back to visit with us. Annie even brought us to the edge of the balcony and told us a bit about the historic tanks and pot still. It was an awesome experience!

Kiersten was AMAZING serving us this afternoon! I really enjoyed the tour but I told my brother this bar experience with creative and interesting cocktails utilizing Michters is something so unique and fun that all other distilleries should be trying to copy! The cocktails were awesome but Kiersten provided awesome recommendations and provided amazing background on how the drinks are made and some of the creative process in their creation! Highly recommend grabbing a drink at the Michters bar after any tour and if all the servers are as fun and insightful as Kiersten you will NOT be disappointed in the service and experience!!

The bar is absolutely beautiful. You be able to spot a white label Michter's in person along with the 25yrs seen on Billions. Unfortunately I had an okay experience here because our reservation was short by 1 (4 vs. 5). They informed me that they weren't able to accommodate because they were very busy. So only two went to check out the bar. When we got upstairs I would say it was full but 15mins later people started to clear out. And in another 20min, half the bar was empty. I was very disappointed that the staff wasn't willing to wait-list 1 person so we could enjoy the bar.

We visited Louisville for our anniversary a few weeks ago and stopped in the bar just as we got into town. Our server, Kiersten, was absolutely amazing. Not only did she help with choosing and recommending cocktails to try based on our tastes, she said got to know us and suggested some other local places to check out while we were in town. Great cocktails, cool atmosphere, but friendly service really made it the best experience. Hope to visit again soon!

Kiersten was an amazing host. We were visiting from out of town and came in an hour before closing without reservations. She went above and beyond trying to accommodate us and allow us too have the Michters bar experience. She was able to get us seated in the upstairs bar within 20 minutes of our arrival and totally made our night!

Everyone was super friendly! Kirsten was an exceptional hostess. She was attentive and very knowledgeable about the beverages. Job well done! We will be back!

My wife and I got the pleasure of visiting The Bar at fort Nelson last week and we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was amazing and the drinks were incredible but the most important part of any visit for us anywhere is the people. Our servers at The Bar were absolutely outstanding. We had a great experience with all of them but Kiersten was our main bartender and was a complete joy! She was very kind, helpful, sweet, and went above and beyond for us during our time there. I cannot recommend The Bar and their amazing staff enough. My wife and I cannot wait to go back soon! Thank you Kiersten for making our time so incredible!

We had a bachelor party here. We had been to a few spots around this was by far the best experience we had. Kiersten was our server and her customer service was incredible. We We already drinking and she was able to handle of our immature attune with a smile. We had a blast! Thanks for all the water!

Wonderful experience! Highly recommend the bourbon infused espresso. The South Point is tasty but on the sweet side.

My favorite bar in Louisville! Thank you to Kiersten & Erica for making my mother’s 74th birthday exceptionally special. She is still talk about the “Clear cocktail”…but they were all delicious! The birthday message was the best!! Her first time on the bourbon trail was spectacular and we owe that in part to the crew at Fort Nelson❤️ Can’t wait to come back!

Our bartender David Lyndon was excellent. So kind even though It was late in the night. He gave us recommendations of late night spots he enjoyed and promised to ask the owner to extend the hours of this bar as It is one of my favorites and I am a local. I would come often.

There could not be a better place to go. Personalized service, wonderful employees, fine whiskey. Jacqueline, the guest experience manager was probably the greatest manager I have ever had the privilege to meet. I highly recommend Michters as one of the finest bourbon experiences in Louisville.

David, the head bartender and Chelsey our tour guide (as well as all the staff) were hands down the most knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming folks on the bourbon trail, which is saying something. Became lifetime ambassadors of Michters after today. You will not regret the stop.

Dave is amazing, we had such a great time that we went to dinner and came back for a nightcap. Cocktails, ambiance… The whole experience was amazing after a wonderful and informative tour I’m with Jacqueline! Don’t miss this stop on your local tour of Louisville or even pass up the bar as a local. Even if you can’t book a tour, “The Bar” staff is so incredibly informative and engaging about Michters as a brand and the celebration of good spirits and great company.

Michter’s bar has become one of my favorite cocktail bars in Louisville. Beautiful and historic interior with incredible drinks. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and create a welcoming environment. Charhonda always makes everyone feel welcome. Anyone visiting Louisville should add it to their list of sites to visit.

Amazing cocktails with spectacular bourbon and rye. Christy is a stellar bartender who made the entire experience fun while educating us on different ingredients and processes. Our expectations were far exceeded and our only regret is we have to go home soon and can only visit one more time before we go! :) Don’t miss out on this destination.

Great place with some amazing cocktails. Loved everyone that we encountered. Jacqueline gave an informative tour that was our favorite from our trip. We ended our day at the bar and had David and he was friendly and gave local food recommendations.. We will be back glad you guys are opened again!

I knew it was a great place when I saw the “Now Spinning” sign behind the bar highlighting the Elton John Diamonds album that was pulsing through the speakers. Highly recommended!!!!
