When I am in the downtown area, I always make sure to pop into Block Party Handmade. It is an adorable boutique filled with many wonderful, quality made items from local artist. I have often ventured here during a special event...Día de Muertos or most recently their Galentine's Day celebration. The staff is wonderful and friendly. I always enjoy chatting with them and finding out what their favorite products are. The staff constantly gives you updates on their artists and what items tend to be customer favorites. The shop offers jewelry, soaps and lotions, clothing, art, a few baby items, dog toys and treats, along with lots of candy and chocolate. I love to purchase birthday cards here to mail to friends outside of the Kentucky area. The baby items I have purchased for friends have always been some of their best baby items. I highly suggest stopping into Block Party during one of the events at South Fourth Street or to purchase gifts for friends or yourself. After all, sometimes you need to treat yo'self.

Block Party is one of my favorite local places for gifts or just treat yo self days. I love the local artist representation and that there's always something new when I go in. The staff is also amazing and super helpful!

Block Party is one of the shops I can’t wait to stop into when I come to downtown Louisville! On today’s visit though, I learned the store is closing and my heart is broken! I spoke with Melinda and she and I had an amazing conversation for about 30 min and wish I could have stayed. Your store will be greatly missed as will you and your amazing staff (Melinda). While this may be a paused moment, there is no doubt wonderful things are in store for you! Xx

Truly a one-of-a-kind store that offers a wide variety of handcrafted merchandise. Where else can you find handmade soap, candles, jewelry, clothing, pottery, baby clothes, adult clothing, derby hats, and fine art in one convenient downtown location? Block Party is true to its name - it is a party to shop here with upbeat, friendly and artistic staffing personnel who will go out of their way to help find that unique gift for someone special - self included.

What an awesomely weird store. They have so many cool and unique things. I could easily spend hours there just looking at everything. Also any store with nearly an entire corner of things devoted to Leslie Knope is amazing.

GORGEOUS little shop, you can find all sorts of things here! Best place to go if you have to find a gift for someone difficult. Working downtown, I make this one of my regular stops to check out the nifty things they have- it's always changing!

This is by far the most adorable local boutique I've been too. I've lived in Louisville my entire life, and I hadn't gone in until recently. The prices are great, the handmade cards are adorable, and the owner & staff are absolutely lovely! I went in earlier today just to look around. I found a few dresses I liked, and although none of them were in my size, the owner asked me if I wanted her to email the designer and ask if they had any extras! I was surprised in the best way when she said she'd get back to me later this afternoon! I'll definitely be returning to Block Party soon!
