Why are these puppies all standing and laying directly on wire metal cages? Crates should at least have a flat plastic tray bottom to support their weight and not damage their feet. This is terrible and painful for their feet and it’s bc they’re too lazy to clean the cages every few hours. Can’t imagine how painful this is to stand and lay on all day and night. Not even a bed or towel to sleep on at night. Maybe they get walked “a couple times a day” so 22 hrs a day a puppy is standing or lying directly on cold metal wire. Look at the one on the top left sitting on the bowl for some relief. Really sad. Do you truly believe that you wouldn’t be in pain if you had to sit or lay on this all day? This is a poor, isolating environment setting these puppies up for failure in their future homes.

Pretty bothered by our visit tonight considering we come in regularly. We asked about snails, specifically if any of a specific color or shade were available. Upon asking, the woman working said that she didn’t have time to get to the snails because she had to take care of customers… but we are customers… regularly too. We really try to support local, but when you feel unimportant to the establishment, it’s a real turn off. 😔

If I was able to give this pet shop a 0 I would. They have bad customer service and lie about the health of the puppies. They told me my puppy was free of fleas and ticks and also cured from ear mites. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I love our puppy the kids love him however I wish they had been honest about the health of the dog before we bought it. And the one girl that works there is rude, lied on me, forgot to mute me and I overheard her telling the manager things that I did not say. The owner is somewhat nice I guess cause she gave me a free bottle of flea removal for my home, but I wouldn’t have need it in the first place if y’all had not given me a puppy with fleas to begin with. Save your money go somewhere else if you absolutely have too. That was the worst $1200 I ever spent. And another lie I never used any inappropriate language. You all just stay lying. I’m going to leave it there. Have a bless one

I got my pup a couple days ago. He was INFESTED with fleas and ear mites! Also, he had worms. They said he was fine and was treated for fleas. Lies. Also they have the dogs in a medal cage with no bed and they were sleeping on the medal bars. They knew NOTHING about the animals. This place is horrible and I had to take him to the vet. Thankfully he’s okay now. I don’t recommend them!

If I could give this place a negative I would! These poor babies drinking from rabbit water bottles and laying on pure metal wiring. No blanket no bed no nothing. Not to mention the top 2 appear to have an eye infection and the bottom left pup was so lethargic didn't even look up when I was talking to him. Something needs to be done about this

I purchased a Yorkie here in 2011. Soon after in vet very Ill. After some extensive care my puppy did pull through. He has several issues truly was unfit for purchase I paid $750 for him I just continue to pay the expenses and the astronomical vets bills that had followed. Then on the outside he is a very sweet little boy and very loved and he's always well a special place in my heart that I can say but I would not purchase another one from here because he was unfit for purchase.. even with some downfalls he's been enjoy lots of love just I hate to see the pain he's my boy..

This place is amazing I got my Pomeranian from here he’s so cute this place is a go to place if your looking for a animal my dog had all of its shots except for the last one and he just looks so healthy and happy my puppy is so cute and they have a good selection of leashes and collars make sure to check this place out you won’t regret it.

I was just in this shop today for a visit. It’s been quite some time since I’ve been here. But a Yorkie puppy in that back cage all alone for $1299…Yes you read that correctly $1,299 for a yorkie. First of all her cage was dirty & it stunk to high heaven. Poor baby was shivering & whining. This is not okay and also very disheartening..If I had such money to take her little self home I absolutely would in a heartbeat. Other than that staff were okay. Not too social. But also being followed around is a huge no no for us. We will not be returning. Edit: In response to everyone else’s claims about the puppies being on metal cage bottoms all day with no blankets or towels is still very much true. That poor baby was shivering & Whining.. Edit: Reply to Southside pet shop.. First of all I have grown up around animals and kennels my whole life. Her kennel was NOT clean nor did she have any type of blanket or towel. Notice how you skipped over that part. And common sense would tell everyone that a pet store is going to smell like pets but there’s also a difference in pet smells versus unclean & Unsanitary conditions. I didn’t bother to mention my concerns as you were too busy following me around the store & As for your other two employees they had better things to do like have their faces buried in the screens of their phones. Also neither one seemed friendly. So that being said. Once again $1299 for a Yorkie who is not being properly cared for I see why she may be sick or not be in the best of health as another mentioned.

Neat place to stop by. Atmosphere was ok, although I kinda agree with the comments about the condescending attitude (not from the ladies behind the counter). It did not make me feel welcome. He was very knowledgeable though. The animals seemed in good condition and it was clean from where I was looking. I may or may not stop by again.

Wasn't expecting them to have live feeders for my snakes but they had a lot in this store and everyone was really nice. Good quality as compared to other local feeder mice.

Very friendly staff, very knowledgeable on all their supplies and animals. Great selection of cichlids and other types of fish. I would definitely recommend anyone shop here just, the staff alone is reason enough. I purchased my flowerhorn from Southside months ago and he couldn't be any better quality, especially for the price paid.

Theyre a little bit higher then the other per shop i go to, and the staff are younger and not as knowledgeable about the animals they sell or the products they have, but overall it's a nice store

These guys and gals are always right there to help you out. It's small compaired big chains, so you don't get lost looking for what you need. The staff is always nice and attentive. They also have fish bait if you might need.

I love this pet shop! it’s very clean and has a great variety of fish, animals, and pretty much anything you need for your pets. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back and I recommend this store to anyone.

Definitely full of cool pets and staff. Fish are generally overstocked and mistreated at most pet stores but this store does a good job trying to keep them happy while they find their forever home, was gonna give them 4 stars because I wish fish were treated better in general but I think they try harder than most places so they genuinely deserve 5.

The owner was very nice and friendly to me. He gave me some good advice about canary breeding. Highly recommended place to buy pets and supplies.

This place seems to favor exotic/small/reptile pets. I've been looking for cork bark and this was the only place out of the 5 I looked in that had any. Great prices on spider and mopani wood. They've got some of the basic cat and dog supplies in addition to cats and dogs for sale
