Melissa Acker is not a therapist you should see if you are in need of immediate therapy help. First appointment: late by 20 minutes. Second appointment TWO MONTHS LATER: no shows. I waited an hour for her. Nothing. I called lifestance three times and hung up on three times before a receptionist had me on hold for 10 minutes trying to contact her and her office. No answers. And they want me to wait longer on the POSSIBILITY she MAY see me? On the chance I MAY get the help I need? She knew the severity of my life circumstances which were only highlighted and got worse literally 20 min before my expected time of appointment which I wanted to discuss with her. Nope. Why would she care about my CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT? Itā€™s nothing to her apparently. So I cancelled all my appointments with her and will NOT return. Sad to say, given Iā€™ve been with lifestance since I was in middle school. As an adult, I had to make time with my work schedule and miss out on my hours and therefore overall paycheck for this. Unacceptable.

I have many issues with LifeStance. The portal is difficult to use and has more than once not allowed me to log in for my therapy session on time, despite having the correct room code. I have seen multiple therapists through LifeStance and have had varying degrees of unpleasant experiences. I once had a session booked with Paul (I donā€™t recall his last name), and had never met with him before. The session was booked through the receptionist. When I joined the call, Paul told me that he did not have me in his books, and despite not having anyone else he needed to meet with that day he still kicked me off the session after ridiculing me for ā€œnot knowing the name of my own therapistā€. This was supposed to be my first time meeting with any of the therapists and was a hard step for me to make so this behavior was cruel and unacceptable from a mental health professional. I informed LifeStance about this incident and nothing was done. I see a different professional through LifeStance now, and frankly I donā€™t get much out of it. She never offers an appointment less than a month and half out from our previous one, which makes it incredibly hard to make progress when weā€™re meeting once every 2 months. When we do meet, I feel as though she does not listen to what I have to say, and is often condescending to me. To be quite honest, I would have left LifeStance ages ago if it were solely based on the service I receive, but unfortunately this is one of the few companies that accepts my insurance and itā€™s incredibly difficult for me to make the switch. I would not recommend LifeStance to anyone, but I guess if itā€™s the only thing available to you, itā€™s tolerable.

Yes Iā€™m writing my review about their policy about canceling an appointment. Figure a place thatā€™s here to help me having issues would have same policy for themselves. I wanted to call and cancel my appointment 30 business hours before my appointment. But I was told there would be a $75 charge because suppose to give 48 hours. But yet they donā€™t send you a email reminder of the appointment 48 hours before your appointment. Which seems like that should be in this ridiculous policy!!! But told me if I sign on and let the person know that I donā€™t need to talk with them. Would just charge my insurance would have to pay copay. Seems like they are just worried about getting paid and I understand itā€™s a business as well. But if call on Friday 10am and appointment isnā€™t until Monday 4pm that should be plenty of time to cancel without being charged a ridiculous $75!!!!!! But yet was told if the counselor had to cancel less than 48 hours notice thatā€™s okay. This policy is such garbage. If you a policy like this then you should at least send a reminder 48 hours as well of the appointment. Also last time had appointment when the person talking with you continued yawn looks like sheā€™s going to fall asleep. Sorry thatā€™s very unprofessional and if ever hear a friend saying they are going here. Iā€™ll make sure to tell them look elsewhere

You will be charged $300 for one hour of therapy and nothing else. Even after insurance, I will pay $89. Which I understand it goes towards a deductible. However, how is any hour of talk therapy worth $300??? It listed the cost of a therapy session with a range from $75-$300 WITHOUT insurance. I wonder when people get charged on the lower end of the range. No wonder people don't seek help more. Also, if you're seeking a diagnosis for ADHD or help in Lexington, they have no openings and you will get referred to their Louisville office and have to wait until mid December or later. That's just insane to me. It seems like they are milking these therapy appointment costs in between actually seeing a doctor and getting tested. I feel like they're taking advantage of people who are seeking to better understand themselves and improve their lives. From a business stand point, it's smart to max out the charge for insurance to pay, but it's really doing a disservice to your patients. They will make their money off of me this one time and that's it. I will find another avenue to receive help. This just makes it even harder to get a diagnosis for adult females who may have been overlooked as children.

My experience with my therapists has been great, but Iā€™ve had several problems with billing. Iā€™ve spent hours on the phone trying to get things resolved, and still find myself paying hundreds of dollars that insurance should have covered if things had been processed correctly and in a timely manner. Iā€™ve been told Iā€™m being sent statements, but I cannot find them. Iā€™m certain Iā€™m not getting them. My portal says I owe them nothing, but they say I owe them hundreds of dollarsā€¦for visits that happened when I was covered by insurance. By the time I was aware there was a problem (more than once), it was too late to refile with my insurance. *** I wanted to update to say that my therapist has really gone to bat for me to work on working this out. Itā€™s still not resolved yet, but I think weā€™re getting close, and I really appreciate how much she cares.

I love being able to have my visit be a virtual one. Especially on days when Iā€™m not feeling well enough to be out! Iā€™m very pleased with this service and especially with my therapist! I trust Jeremy to have my best interest and health at heart! Thank you!

Never been treated so poorly in my life. Been a customer here for years, long before the current buyout. I have a sick daughter that I need to take to a doctor and I was told I have a $75 cancellation fee for cancelling ahead of time. I was never told of this or given any documentation. I spoke with someone named Alan on the phone who was very rude. When I called back the second person I spoke to wouldn't give me any information on Allen such as an identifying number or last name so I can't really complain about it to corporate, can i? This fee is twice what I pay to see someone, it's more expensive to not go than to go. This isn't the first encounter I've had with office people who are rude, one overcharged me several thousand dollars a year or two ago. It was an uphill battle to get anything back. This place is disgusting and will give you more mental issues than you came in with.

1st visit with my psychiatrist and I feel like I made the right choice. The session wasn't rushed, I wasn't cut off while I was talking. They helped me realize a couple of characteristics about myself that my previous doctors completely dismissed. I will keep this review updated as my sessions progress!

Instead of listening to me about the problems I experience and why, provider tried to tell me how I felt and why, as if I'm not the one living with them daily. It felt very condescending. He then proceeded to try to prescribe me several medications that I told him I had already tried and had experienced negative side effects and/or no improvement with. I reiterated this several times and he still offered no alternative. And to top it off- once the video visit was over, but before my camera had stopped and I could still see and hear him, he made some negative comments and acted exasperated. Overall it was a waste of an hour of my life and I won't be back. Providers name was Dr. Ashok Lakhiani.

From the moment I arrived, I was treated with respect. My therapist was reassuring and we always have genuine discourse and good discussion. To put it simply, they get me!!!!This makes the whole life process more positive and even sometimes joyful!

I love my doctor that I see (Dr. Rieser) but I am taking a star off because of my doctor. He takes as much time as needed to meet with you, which is amazing when you are the one he's with. It isn't amazing when you're waiting 2 hours after your scheduled appointment time and still have one person ahead of you. I don't mind to wait, but I never know if I'll be waiting 5 minutes or 3 hours. It would be nice to have a text alert or something to help know if they are running late and by how much, like "there are two people ahead of you" when you check in or something. Don't let that deter you from Dr. Rieser though. He's helped me so much more than any other doctor, and he actually listens and hears what you're saying. He genuinely cares and likes to hear when things work and wants to fix it if it doesn't.

After dealing with Depression for over 10 years I finally reached out to get help. During my research for a good therapist a friend suggested LifeStance. The entire experience from the moment you call to scheduling your appointment to the session itself itā€™s outstanding. The representative that scheduled me went above and beyond to find the best therapist for me based on my needs and insurance. My therapist Lisa, was so refreshing, I was anxious about having a traumatic breakthrough. But she focused on addressing the most important things that I needed it right there and then. Thank you LifeStance for providing exceptional service!!!!

Billie Love is incredible. She is patient, trusting and easy to build rapport with. Within 10 minutes of speaking with her, I knew I wanted to stick with her. Going to therapy isnā€™t an easy decision. Sometimes it takes months to finally get in there. I canā€™t tell you how easy Billie made this- she made me feel so comfortable and understood everything I was explaining. I am eager to start this journey with Billie by my side.

My therapist, Victoria Ewing, is the absolute best. They couldnā€™t have paired me with a better one! Iā€™ve been with her for a few years now, and sheā€™s helped me through several family crises that caused me so much anxiety and depression. Iā€™m so grateful for her! When LifeStance took over Beaumont Behavioral Health, I had a lot of issues with them. I would be put on hold for so long when I needed to call about something, once waiting for 1 1/2 hours before I finally hung up. Communication has improved over time. I also had trouble getting a nurse, who orders my medications, when my first one left. Iā€™ve been moved to several. I ended up being put with one who is with the Louisville office, and I am having trouble getting my refills.

Dr. Stark is one of the best providers I've ever came across. She is "younger" than your average PMHNP however, she is a wise soul and such a caring Individual. You feel like you are talking with a great friend. She is thorough unlike many doctors who just wanted to push this and that on me, Dr. Stark wants to find the real problem and make plan we both are comfortable with to reach desired and reasonable goal. Thanks doc for changing my outlook on life! I'm so excited again for the little things.

Provider Lauren Wilson in Lexington KY is awful. If I wanted to be gaslight and jerked around by someone I'd go back to my ex. Unresponsive to patient portal messages, overrode my therapudic and medicine concerns at every turn, and then up and cancelled on me. Also I've called your billing department 5 times over the last month to discuss this with them and been on hold with NO ANSWER for an hour plus each time. I'm fed up, GO ELSEWHERE for treatment! The ONE bright spot of this whole affair is one of the recptionists Tiana Fuller. Tiana you are awesome and seem to love what you do. Thank you for being there for help when my provider wasn't.

I have benefited greatly from my therapy with Kelly. She has smoothly guided me through a rough patch in my life. The office people have been most kind in helping me set up appointments and pay my bill. All in all it has been a very pleasant yet professional experience!

This was my first appointment at LifeStance. I was very impressed with the Doctor. Everyone was very nice and helpful except for the receptionist (red head). Red has an attitude problem.

I've been seeing Ashley at Lifestance Health for roughly 3 years and she is an amazing provider. She is incredibly patient and understanding, she gives me room to work on things at my own pace, and I highly recommend working with her.

LifeStance has always been a very organized establishment. I've always felt like the staff treat everyone with care and respect. I know LifeStance works with multiple aspects of healthcare. I'd recommend them to a friend or stranger.

I absolutely loved my therapist at Life Stance but I've been having issues with the billing department. I got charged incorrectly and I've been trying now for 2-3 months to get this resolved. I've called, left messages, and sent messages in my patient portal with no response. When you're dealing with anxiety, having to deal with this adds another level of anxiety. I just want to get this resolved so I can move forward.

Kelley is fantastic and very supportive and thoughtful!! Her time, knowledge, expertise and compassion made a difference in my life for me, starting today. I can't express how much she has helped me already in my first visit with her. Thank-you so very much Kelley!!

My first impression from her first ā€œHelloā€ was so pleasant! I felt as if Iā€™ve known her for years. She appears to have your issues at your best interest and she explains every thing so well and takes deep interest in trying to find a way to listen plus help diagnose you in the safest manner to protect you as a person and your health! Thank You Dr. Taylor!

Dr. Reiser is one of the best, he's so thorough and knowledgeable. He has been treating my son for about a year now, and I immediately saw a positive change after our first meeting. The only reason I don't give them five stars is because they're billing department is terrible. They are non-responsive through the portal. I can never get anyone to answer, and if I leave a voicemail no one ever calls me back.

I have spent many many years being seen by a few providers. It would be an enormous understatement to say that I am very pleased with the entire staff and Dr. Jeremy Brown! The girls at the front desk are fantastic, kind and patient. And Dr Brown was beyond kind and interactive even. Some I've seen don't interact with the patient... he was attentive and interactive, kind and very smart. I am very please I was referred to him!
