Walked in, owner was speaking to a customer, zero acknowledgement of anyone else. Spent ten minutes waiting for someone, anyone to acknowledge us but nothing at all. Owner was too busy listening to the sound of his own voice to care. Sacked it off to go somewhere else up the hill - was half the price with infinitely better service.

A shop specializes in selling Port wine but it is more than a shop but also a museum of Port wine. The owner is an expertise and can tell you everything he know about port wine. He is more than happy to share with you on Port wine rather than just selling them to you. A good experience to be there.

Do not go here! They are selling 40+ year bottle for 150 euros that is fake. They put a Quinta Do Rey label on the back that is clearly fake the ink gets lighter on the end. The label also does not match anything even close to what I have found online. There are also two other reviews the same as this that I read on Google. Wish I would have noticed in the store but I was excited on vacation.

Would highly recommend the cherry liquer and chocolate. Owner has good knowledge of Port as well if you're looking to start a vintage collection.

Be carfeull there. They lure you in with samples. The simplest port is already 3 times more expensive. Don't trust there own +40 brand since it's not real or proven in age. A 5 year port sold for 150 euro. And the vintage are even more bad.

For €1.50 you can have a bit of sour cherry liqueur in a chocolate cup. Wonderful treat!

Great staff, very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We came in and tried several different ports, that the staff recommended and these were fabulous. We learned something about port and Maderia, met nice people and had a few lovely drinks. We'd definitely recommend a visit.

They are fooling tourists. Selling 30 € Port Wine for 100 €.

What an awesome surprise in Sintra! We stumbled in this shop looking for water and left with 6 bottles of specialty port being shipped home to us!! Carlos was so much fun to talk to and shared so much knowledge about port with us (and tasty samples too!). We were so grateful we accidentally ended up in this shop afor the afternoon and would highly recommend making this a stop during your stay in Sintra! Plus we are so excited to now have a resource for getting delicious port delivered to us back in the US!!

We stopped in here because we were just walking by on our first day in Portugal and really wanted to just try port to see if we liked it. I noticed a sign for tasting for 35 Euro. The owner was very helpful and we learned a lot about how Port is made and the types (White to Tawny). He even pulled out other older types for us to taste. We did not purchase any Port (we wanted to sample other locations first) but the experience here was very positive.

I had the cherry liqueur in the chocolate cup as recommended by our tour guide and it was amazing. I ended up having 3 of these. Amazing experience that I would definitely recommend 😉

Great (port) wine tasting with a fantastic view. However, only buy bottles here, if you know the prices. Some of the bottles I tried were 30-40% more expensive here than at the airport…

Worse experience ever. I live in Portugal for some years, and just received my parents here for the first time to celebrate my birthday. For the occasion, we stopped by this place to taste the famous Ginja (I already know, but I was willing that my parents could try). The attendant was not polite and put the cups for us on the (small) counter. Because some other clients were talking with the attendant (on the top of our cups) I took the cups, went behind them to search for the money. While we’re searching for the money, the attendant started to talk with us as we were stealing the Ginja cups! We just returned the full cups (without tasting), payed the 3 euros for 2 cups, and left!
