This is the best boat trip I've ever taken. If you have a bit of time and the you get more from the trip, as apposed to the other speedy options. The ship has space for your to move around and get different views, also has a WC. The Guide is a genius translating from Portuguese to English to French like a true professional and packed with local history. At the destination you then board the small boats and get up close into the caves, Worth every cent!!!!

A great boat trip that takes you along the Algarve coast. Not often you can set sail on a pirate ship, view amazing caves and you also get an opportunity to take a dive into the sea (Weather permitting). Friendly staff also. If you're in Portimao/Carvoeiro area, it's definitely an excursion you should try.

Been on this fantastic Santa Bernarda Pirate Ship trip around Algarve coast & the ship itself was worthwhile alone on it’s one. The ship crew was really good with special mention to the owner, a German lady who I forgot the name. She was very nice & together with her husband & crew, they really do a great job. The trip was fascinating & the views stunning! There is a moment during the journey where we board the small boats to then start the caves visiting...properly inside them. Brilliant! Then back aboard for the return trip whilst enjoying a glass of beer at the ship’s bar. The pirate ship is well maintained & it gives a nice feel for what those discovery days back on the 1500’s might have been like. A truly memorable experience! Thank you Santa Bernarda team for making of today such a memorable & beautiful day!

Very cool boat trip! We did it with the entire family and the kids loved it!! It’s a cool pirate ship with everything you need on it and after a relaxing tour you hop on small boats to visit all the caves including Benagil Cave. We even had some luck on the way back because we spotted some dolphins! They even brought us close to them to take pictures. Thanks for the ride matey!

Nice crew - helped us while seasickness overcame most of us. - do not understimate this while planning. No sailing just with motor. Would not recommend with small kids. Caves are amazing. The pirateboat is also made lovely. Just some silent sailing parts where missing.

A great trip out to sea from which you transfer into smaller boats to explore the caves off the southern Algarve coastline. A fantastic welcome and the captain of the ship's seems to speak every language known to man fluently.

We went on this trip during high winds, and the captain told everyone that we wouldn't be visiting the caves, and that people were welcome to rebook when the wind had died down. We decided to stay, and had some money taken from our ticket price, which was very reasonable. The views were absolutely stunning. While it would have been lovely to see the caves, we completely appreciate the reasoning, and are grateful for the discounted tickets price. I would recommend bringing a light jacket as it can get cool on the way out, but they do have jackets and blankets onboard as well. Definitely recommend to anyone staying in Portimao.

Great afternoon out. Fun and friendly staff, great music, just right for the ambiance, with an international vibe. This is a great day out for a young family like ours (1 and 3 year olds). Captain let our sons both touch the steering wheel when sailing, a real lovely guy. And then of course getting off to go into the smaller boats to explore the caves was memorable too. I think you can even buy drinks inside the back part too. They had a men and women's wc. I'd rather people didn't smoke, but there was a smoking area so at least it wasn't everywhere.

A very pleasant two 3 hour cruise from Portimao to the Benagil caves. The crew pointed out the sights along the way. The small boats that took us into the caves were expertly crewed. Refreshments can be had on the ship. Great time. Highly recommend.

I was already familiar with the ride from previous years. This year the guide was excellent and he knew facts about Portimão, Lagoa and the Algarve that even most natives wouldn’t know. Friendly multilingual crew. Nice trip to the caves included. This is a must when visiting the Algarve.

The staff did a great job to entertain. The views are spectacular. Totally worth the price. Maybe would have like to seen the sails raised for a more authentic experience.

Amazing tour, very family friendly! We had been looking for a toddler friendly boat tour along the Algarve coast and this is the perfect setup. We cruised most of the way in a big pirate boat and transferred to small boats in the middle to do cave tours and visit the Benagil cave. The crew were super nice and they are very comfortable with children from babies to older toddlers. They helped all the families bundle up the kids with life jackets and load them onto the small boats. We had at least 10 kids on our tour and everyone seemed to have had a great time. The adults had fun too. My husband got to jump into the ocean for a quick swim in the middle of the tour. Highly recommend!

Amazing trip, the ship is beautiful! A slower pace meant time to appreciate the coastline. Good facilities, bar, toilets, lots of seating. The cave trip was exhilarating and the crew were super efficient and friendly and seemed to be really good with children.

So fun! Great staff ! Very entertaining ! Able to purchase snacks and drinks on board and there is a washroom. At the Benagil caves you have the choice to pile into smaller boats to get up close to the amazing caves. Take a ziploc bag for your phone and GRAVOL!! Many people became sick on the cruise from the wave swells 🤮
