A very nice and modern hotel. It happened a few times to get rooms where people smoked and I was highly disappointed. However, things improved in the last few month. The lobby is very cosy and it is a nice place to have a sip at any moment of the day. Rooms are nice and bright. The decoration is a bit cold, the walls deserve a bit of attention, they are too empty. Despite this, the level of service is excellent, breakfast (western) is on the healthy side and the view from the lounge, or the gym, just gorgeous

Staying at the PuLi was a pretty epic experience. The TV turned on and started playing spa music as I walked in, the view out onto the city as the sun set was crazy, I just had a lot of fun exploring the room to be honest. Was planning on more sightseeing after a quick luggage drop but ended up just hanging out in my room... Anyway, interesting decor and vibe. Definitely a very pleasant experience.

Beautiful hotel. Love the lobby. Very well design of reception and bar in an open space, with natural lighting. The staffs are not quite good at English but very attentive. Old antique mix modern. Love this hotel

Fabulous hotel. Great location, very close to subway, mall and can walk to lots of areas. Views are unbelievable, minibar is free! But selection is just ok. Bar is lovely, buzzy and has fabulous cocktails. Pool is amazing and has male and female hot tubs for privacy.

Decoration and design are stunning, views from the room are just incredible, the spa is amazing, cocktails at the bar are delicious, staff is super professional and friendly, I will definitely come back.

With handcrafted luxury at the core of its service philosophy, The PuLi guest experience mark a departure from the expected generic style of luxury usually associated with conventional collections of foremost hotels. The result is a distinctively unique, new and spatial guest experience which heightens discovery and brings pleasure to the senses. its been a while that I was here. but I loved it here. really big rooms, long bar, nice breakfast, stayed here 3 times I think . I don't know how it is now in china, Shanghai or puli, but it used to be very nice. also the location was good to do some walking around that area.

Really enjoyed our staycation at the Puli. We were only on the 7th floor, but still had a view over Jing’an Temple and Park. Staff were amazing and we really enjoyed the pool. The entrance is sort of hidden away, but the hotel is very central for walks and things to do and restaurants. Only downside - some of the breakfast items were out too long and were a bit chewy- including the dumplings. Otherwise, it’s a reasonable breakfast for the Western palate.

This hotel is remarkable. The rooms are giant with a bathtub and a view on Shanghai. The spa services are pricey but their pool is free for guests and its amazing. The breakfast buffet is fantastic offering mostly western food as well as some local specialities.

Great experience at PuLi Shanghai, very nicely decorated room with all the modern confort and entertainment systems. Nice gym and pool, very good service. Staying here gives you more a boutique hotel vibe than most of the 5* bigger brands.

虛有其表的酒店,totally overcharged. Receptionist seems under sales pressures who cannot communicate well in english but still hard sell for room upgrades. All service just not qualified and room layout is bad design.

One of my high flights for my recent work trip to Shanghai. This hotel is an oasis in the vibrant and busy city. Something bad about this hotel is that I’m so drawn into it that I spend more time in the hotel than out exploring Shanghai haha! Jokes aside. This place is great to chill and relax and the staff are also very friendly and warmth. Even the housekeeping lady is also so courteous and helpful. The lobby of the hotel is relaxing and inviting, with the high ceiling and the comforting lights, the smell as I step into the hotel grounds. It’s no wonder they are one of the top as they took care of all these details I have took some photo for the sauna area. This should be good enough for people whom are standing on the fence to try as they do not know what to expect. Personally as I was researching I was looking forward to know how the place was like and I booked it only because I saw how good and well designed it was. The morning breakfast is also a treat, you can choose to consume the breakfast in the room or to head to phenix. Food selection wise is above average. taste wise it’s pretty good. Just take note that because it’s smack in the busy city area of Shanghai, your taxi or DiDi ride may take some time to come into the hotel grounds.
