This is one of the most spectacular museum in Shanghai where the exhibits are housed within a 5 storey building. The entry fee is RMB 30 for adults and there are special rates for children and senior citizens. Children under 1.3m are free to enter the museum without charges. This museum is disabled and children friendly. There are ramps and elevators which fit such purpose. This museum is huge and it is best to allocate at least half a day to enjoy the exhibits. There are two restaurants and a cafe in the museum, level 2, B1 and B2M respectively. The foods served here are of moderate taste. Anyway, a good museum for the young and old.

Excellent museum, huge with a lot of exhibits. Only drawback is too crowded during weekends.

Nice museum about natural history of China and Earth. There is a large zoological collection, including dinosaurs bones and statues. Also you can find a hall with minerals. This museum will be interesting for both children and adults. If you have Chinese telephone number, i would like to recommend you to book tickets online in advance. If you are a foreigner, then you can buy tickets inside. Price is 30 RMB.

Shanghai Natural History Museum is a great place for scholars and kids to learn about world history and history of China. Need to purchase a entrance ticket to enter to the museum. Concessional tickets rates are available for senior citizens. Few restaurants and cafes are available inside with washroom facilities for observers. The Museum crew speak English.

A big musuem mostly of animals. Varying display of mammals, birds, reptiles, dinosaurs and a whole lot more. Perfect for kids. It has 3 floors so you can spend like a half day here . Very near the center of Shanghai. Also close proximity to the Starbucks reserve.

Great place. You can learn a lot of history and culture from this great museum. There is 5 stories exhibiting different historical artifacts. There is also a 4D movie theatre and more shows at the different levels which needs booking in advance. A must visit place when visiting shanghai unless you don’t like museums

This museum has more content stuffed into a space than I have ever seen, and that's NOT an issue. Not only do they have lots and lots of dinosaur bones and recreations, but they even have one that moves! Adults cost $5 US, children under 6 are free, and $4 US for others. Whether you want too spend an hour, or make a day of it and eat at the on-site restaurant, you should feel as though you got your money's worth. Finding a cab afterwards was a little tricky, tho, so plan ahead with an app or something.

Wonderful natural history museum in a beautifully designed building. There's plenty of exhibits and they're all tastefully styled. Eat and drink before coming because the food and drink inside is not so great and is also a tad expensive. I'd highly recommend paying the museum a visit if you're staying in Shanghai for any length of time.

Easy to access, very close to the Metro. I went with my parents. There're some discount for adult who aged over 60th. Not much food & restaurant there but there is a mall close to Metro. Please avoid weekends and holiday.

Almost impossible to enter as a foreigner, as now you have to buy tickets through WeChat and you can't just show up to buy tickets at the counter. The surrounding area and architecture was nice though.

It is a natural history museum in Shanghai. It is cool, diverse and simple. There is some information that is accessible via QR code, but much of them are written in Chinese. However, you can find English translators around. The museum is huge and split across several floors. You can buy tickets online. I paid 30 Chinese Yuan. It is very very beautiful and was not crowded by the time I entered.

A very good place for family visit. Recommend to visit lowest level first, then ground level. Shop on lowest level has something really special.

I know that this is a BIG call but this wild have to be one of, if not the BEST natural history museums I’ve been to! It’s massive and split across several floors but the scale also applies to the collections - amazing scenes of a whole safari setting backed up with lighting and special effects. Living and hands on exhibits. A giant fossil collection - the list goes on - it really is quite phenomenal!

As a dinosaur geek, I love visiting such museums. This one in china is not dirty at all. They also have English translations for everything I like how it is very educational

Such a wide array of exhibits and information. Beautifully presented. However, taxidermy seems comical (check out the lion).

The building is impressive, but the exhibits are mostly underwhelming...and the stuffed animals in particular look like they would be more at home in a toy shop...though that itself was quite amusing znd memorabke for the wrong reasons. I guess we've been spoiled in the UK with our own version...
