A few years ago two colleagues and I went here for drinks and something to eat. We decided to start with drinks, but shortly after being served, we were approached by a man who seemed to be the manager or shift leader or maybe even the owner. He walked right up to our table and told us that customers of this restaurant usually spend more money and that they wanted us to leave. He just said that directly to our faces. Bear in mind that we had only ordered drinks and had not even had the chance to decide on a meal. The three of us were shocked. We were all dressed well, with good hygiene, and we were not loud or disruptive. There could be no other reason they wanted us to leave except for the brutally honest one we were given: we apparently didn't seem profitable enough. The most bizarre part is that no reasonable person would classify this as a high-end restaurant. It has a cute location, but the prices for a night-out are mid-range. The way we were treated, you'd think this place was at the top of Shanghai Tower. The manager did not seem sympathetic in the slightest. He did not allow for any kind of conversation. He just told us that he wanted us to leave because he didn't think we spent enough money on drinks. I can only assume this is because one of my colleagues is a strict non-alcohol drinker and asked for water. This is the only thing I can think of that the restaurant took so much offense to. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. By far the most unreasonable and hostile experience I have ever had at a business. I have NEVER been treated that way at a restaurant before OR since. The worst part is that it was completely unprovoked and based entirely on the staff's decision that my companions and I were simply not good enough to be there. It had nothing to do with our behavior. It was just that we were not deemed profitable enough. Disgusting and unethical business practice.

Great hang out location with pretty chill vibe. Happy hour before 8 pm daily for 50% off drinks is a nice addition. (Note this is only in the upstairs lounge.) Decent selection of beer and hookah make this a go to place for just about anyone looking to hang out. Occasionally they have live DJ’s Friday and Saturday. They also take foreign credit cards if you need.

Great place to catch happy hour. Nice terrace views of People's Park. What's better than watching goldfish and turtles swim while enjoying a great cocktail?

Worst experience, given the price. Expensive food considering the portion sizes and taste is not even that good. Drinks upstairs in the lounge are fantastic, but everything else was not good. Our friend didn't receive their meal until everyone else was finished eating. Our server Jhey did not put in his order and didn't not realize until we were all served already. In addition to that, they included the 10% gratuity and did not offer any sort of compensation. Given the price of the meal and lack of capable service, I do not recommend coming here for anything other than drinks

Cocktails are subpar, specially their strange version of a sazerac, not to mention a poorly executed old fashioned. The staff is not hospitable. Turned away the sazerac and still got charged for it. Luckily it was happy hour. The decor inside and the surroundings are spectacular, however. The Google maps marker is a bit off as the bar and restaurant are inside the park itself, look for the name on signage throughout the park.

Amazing lounge bar. They have nice view, and fancy decorate inside of bar. Nice workers. Good happy hour 5-8pm half price only for all alcohol drinks by the glass.

The location is the most stunning one in Shanghai. To be honest I just visited Barbarossa on Sunday after 8pm bcs they had a 50 % offer on their Hookahs which are really good with a beautiful atmosphere. Love it here.
