We love this place. It's easy and affordable. The view is great too.

Awesome little bar on top of hostel. Pretty casual with usual hostel crowd. Can get busy. Has patio with view on the bund. Not the best view but not bad. Long island was 7/10. Glass was a bit small. Not sure it was made from scratch.

Food was good and prices were reasonable. The view is great both at day and night. I suggest you book a table on the terrace in afternoon so you can enjoy the light up of the buildings opposite the river. Staff was polite and helpful.

A great place to view the illuminated buildings across the river. It is very busy so you may have to wait for a table. Street entrance is not very obvious, and the stairs make you wonder where you are going! Well worth the visit though!

Captain is a great place for drinks and pizzas. The view is lovely and the staff are efficient, and polite. Outdoor seating is difficult to get unless you are a regular or have a reservation. Reservation policies are strict so be sure to check properly. The only thing I disliked was that they charge you RMB 150 if you bring a cake from outside which is fine by me. However, the catch is that they do not inform you in advance while booking nor have they mentioned or published this anywhere. That's below the belt.

One night I got too drunk to go back home from the Bund, so I decided to spent my night in the Captain Hostel. Next morning, I had a hangover and the guy in the hostel room told me there is a rooftop bar there. That's how, I found this place. And it was quite nice, save my life with nice food and good beer. There is a spectacular view there on all the Pudong Skyline, the open-air lounge wasn't open that morning due to the wind, but waiters allowed me to go out there and take some pics. if the place is so good in the morning, it must be amazing at night, full of people, all the lights from the building in front and a party inside the bar. Great location on the bund on the 6th floor of Captain Hostel (difficult to see from street level). Riverside balcony has a nice view but long waiting times without reservation. Most of the stuff were pretty helpful & polite. The coctail i ordered was impressive but not that good overall.

Affordable prices, amazing views, tasty small food plates and drinks. It's quite crowded up here. It can be hard to get a table outside. Everything was great here except for the hostess who was extremely rude. I did not feel very welcomed here.

Awesome experience at the top floor. Pretty casual and not so high prices. On Monday there's a deal of pizza + beer/wine for 95 CNY. If you want to sit outside, it's better to call and make a reservation.

This place has Stunning views of Shanghai, amazing food, especially the presentation and great music. I had brunch here and it was super delicious. The weather was amazing so the views were breathtaking, I liked the music, which was a Spanish and Italian mix. It's a great spot to unwind and enjoy yourself .
