Since this technique is new to me I agreed to the larger volume, had it been for a traditional approach of fillers I would have stuck with the 0,5 ml. Again, the man was very keen to get this over with and seemingly did not take the time to understand what I wanted. Or he simply didn't listen. Now, I know that natural is a relative concept, and it is clear that myself and this clinic do not share the same opinion on what naturally sized lips looks like. That aside, he did not perform the Russian lips technique, despite that it was what we had agreed! Instead, he filled my lips with 1 ml in only four horizontal injections (two each in the lower and upper lip). After the procedure when looking in the mirror, I pointed out that this was not at all what I had expected and also that regardless, he had not put any product in the middle of my lips, only on the sides (hello duck face, quack quack!). His response: well then you need more product, it is not enough to do it with 1 ml.
