Simply said, what a wonderful almost magic place. Due to a tv program that used this location in their trailer, this became a very popular place. You could call it a victim of it's own success. So don't forget to wear your face mask when entering the site. Highly recommended! If you believe this review is useful, then please 'like' it.

A wonderful idea to have this piece of art made of steel plates in this area. Close to the town of Borgloon and in a very quiet spot with rolling hills around you and the cows grazing Inside or out this "Look through" church you can have intriguing views The area is also good for nature walks

Very unique church. Place is very calm and quiet. Very few people were there here. You can have lot of time for yourself. Enjoy the nature and serenity. Commuting to this place is bit difficult if you take public transport from Brussels. It takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to reach this place. And last bus back to Brussels is at 18:46 which you can't miss 😅. Don't forget to carry water bottle and some eatables.

Beautiful artwork. Also the place is very scenic. The little trail from the parking is magical. So many places to park your car and then you can go to the see through church.

You come across it in the middle of a field, very inconspicuous and smaller than you'd think. Loyal to how I view Belgians- very unassuming and full of surprises if you're willing to dig deeper. Try to go there for sunset photos! 😍

(Translated by Google) Nice walk then there is a site of a Roman villa in the vicinity. Superb program for half a day. The beautifully renovated Borgloon Church is a gem in the village next door. (Original) Belle ballade puis il y a une site d'un villa romain dans lenviron. Superbe programme pour un demi journée. L'église joliment rénové de Borgloon est une perle dans le village a côté.

Located in charming rural area, this little see through church is made of metal. The church is about 6 meters high and equally long. Nice area for a walk or cycle and around the corner some ice cream and drinks are sold. Picknick tables are nearby as well. Wouldn't drive too far for it as it might be slightly underwhelming but it you happen to be around, it's worth a visit.

See-through church - Reading between the lines as the title says you will see the church by reading between the lines. Worth to visit to see an unusual object in the rest of the world…

This is some art i very much recommend visiting when you are close. It's a bit of a walk to get there but it's worth it! The view, the walk to it, it's all beautiful l. The art it self is unique an fits in beautifully with the nature around it. You can also do a bike tour visiting more art pieces like this.

Lovely place to visit. It could have been better. We went on a lovely Sunday at 1200. This place would be magical, if it were quiet and there were less people. I reccomend going early in the morning to avoid the crowds (see my pictures).

Doorkijkkerk is a very small church. It is basically 100 steel sheets stacked on top of each other and the whole 'building' weighs 30 tonnes! At some angles it is really opaque and at some it totally see-through.

  • 4/5 Charles L. 3 years ago on Google
Go towards sunset. I think this would be the best time to admire this. It loses a star because I think the design could even be improved a bit.

  • 5/5 Nicholass D. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice artwork. Always partially visible, always partially transparent. You can use the artwork to frame a real church. Located between orchards beautiful. Definitely worth a detour if you are in the surroundings.

  • 4/5 Amit B. 3 years ago on Google
The location is quite some distance from the parking. From the photos, I expected this to be a big architecture, but it is really small. Nevertheless, very nice architecture, in a well elevated place. Sunset is the perfect time to see the sun through the spaces.

(Translated by Google) Lost somewhere in the landscape of the Land van Loon, a stone's throw from the old count's city. The "see-through church", or whatever you want to call it, is a unique work of art because it merges with the landscape around it: does the church stand in the landscape or does the landscape float through the church? It's not big and sometimes it gets - a little disrespectfully - overrun by curious walkers, but for me it's a place where I unwind and become aware of the insignificance of man.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful walking environment, the church is smaller than expected and there were (too) many people on the spot. Not for people who like quiet, quiet nature walks, so. (Original) Prachtige wandelomgeving, het kerkje is kleiner dan verwacht en er was (te) veel volk ter plaatse. Niet voor mensen die van rustige, stille natuurwandelingen houden, dus.

Curious place to visit, but sadly quite busy. If you can manage the time, hang around a bit to enjoy the scenery with the "church" without people in solitude as it's quite a nice peaceful spot. There's plenty of orchards to wander through in the area, so lots of reasons to pop by.
